Well... I was bored and procrastinating today, and as I was scrolling through a fanfic, I realized something -- or rather, someone -- was used quite frequently in fics.
Who is this someone?
I'm sure all you fic-readers know who this character is.
She's portrayed as the bad-guygirl. The one who hits on Sasuke. That mean girl who picks on poor and unfortunate Sakura. The one that acts like a slut. Or a valley girl (which I take offense to... sad ) in that one high school fic. She's that Mary Sue you all hate.
And if you guessed Wonderwoman, you deserve to be tomatoed. mad
I'm talking about
Ami Watanabe
I hope I got her name right...
I probably have just been too busy to notice, but where exactly did she start out from? Did a person just randomly make her up, unknowingly starting a huge "hate her" trend among writers? Totally cool.
Or perhaps she's that chick that Ino threw flowers at? If so, then don't tell me. Totally uncool. sad
What kind of person do you think Ami Watanabe is? How would you describe her?

xD I've always noticed that the Mary Sue character's name is ALWAYS Ami. But is the last name always the same? o_O I never noticed.
Hm. If I had to go by what I would portray a character like that, I'd say she's just a pretty average teenage girl who's a little spoiled, is all. Not really a bad person, just the steriotypical "popular girl".

I believe the flowerpot-mouthed girl was called Ayame. I've seen the name just as much as Ami and Aya.
And they always seem to be hanging onto Sasukit...

Flower girl was Ami.
Ramen girl is Ayame...no idea how she got connected with Sasuke.
I think that they like bringing Ami back up because Sakura needs a love rival and Ino usually runs off with Shikamaru. xP

The last name might be wrong since I was watching Letters of Iwo Jima a few hours earlier and having a conversation about Ken. xP
But I'm sure I always see Ami in fanfiction.
