Name: Goldbrease
Character: Goldbrease
Age: 20
Professions: Mecha pilot, inventor, scientist, cracker, eating, telepathy programming.
Mecha: Prototype experimental Nu (v) omega custom, code name RX93CP4

Description: a young Gaian who does not recall his own past very well, and has a deep dislike for the Zeon Federation, especially a group which people have only heard rumors about called BD which is believed to mean Born Destiny. However BD actually stands for Black Destiny, a group in the Zeon Federation whose goal is to create bio weapon soldiers to take over the world and galaxy with.

Gold was originally a child prodigy at a small town on the outskirts of Gaia, developing odd inventions and devices and a unique ability to learn things quickly without instructions, secretly Zeon forces were in this town and gold was one of there targets to become bio weapons. The day finally came when the Zeon forces attacked the city, during the battle gold's family attempted to escape but was trapped by a Zaku II and every person was gunned down including gold.

Days later he was restored in a Zeon bio lab, and for 7 years of programming and genetic enhancements it was decided he was ready for combat. During the restoration process the nano machines which restored the brain also sealed past memories away and attempted to brain wash him. However on the first test runs of his capabilities using the enhanced Zaku II’s Gold's own mind took over his body and ran rampant on the base. Since the base was supposed to be a secret facility and all the soldiers other then the 3 who were on standby during the testing were lounging around. By the time the sirens warned of the danger gold had already destroyed the 3 other Zakus and had run into the hangar tearing all the mecha on stand by into scrap metal. After and hour of running rampant around the base, and destroying every mode of transportation the base had he left, he fled. The Zaku was then found auctioned on the black market 5 months later.

Later gold then began working at an ac mercenary base; however the nano machines still in his main matter caused him to lose the memory of the base. The nano machines in his system do not augment his abilities directly; they modified his body giving him his abilities. Enhancements to endurance and mental capacity were basics but without physical development strength and speed were not enhanced on there own. (Gold’s strength and running speed are not super human)

His hair basically looks like the standard male anime main character hair cut but the hair color is cold, yah could probably lose a gold coin in it, you would have to say this is not a natural color. His eyes are amber color that draws you in, and his skin is a normal white. He stands 5"10' without shoes. His looks have a tendency to make him popular with females however the girls who are attracted to him half the time are usually villains or girls with anger problems.

Is normally seen in t shirt and loose pants, a Lab coat or a pilot jumpsuit. His special jump suit is made of reinforced nano carbon fibers and silicon and thin armor plates made of hardened plastic and Kevlar, the helmet has a basic HUD that works with his or most any other mecha, clips on the back hold a body slim flexible power/air pack with link cables to connect to the helmet.

Considering he loves to eat he is very skinny at around 124 pounds and has a good body. He holds the Gaian record for most potato skins eaten in 10 minutes at 203 potatoes skins. Gold has a odd craving for Lou mien dishes and will sometimes eat them eve when he is already full.

He originally began active public appearances when he became an AC pilot for a mercenary organization, during this time He piloted an experimental AC/Gundam hybrid that unfortunate had the computer parts from the blue destiny gundam. During this time he was taken over and nearly went on a rampage. Afterwards he was bed ridden for some time and an exorcist had to be called in to stop the weird happening in the medical center. Shortly afterwards he awoke to find he had telepathic powers and began to develop them.

during his training he moved back and forth between the military group of ac pilots whose leader happened to be the pilot for the BD unit and continued to also work for the mercenary group which became a daunting task, after awhile however the mercenary group decided to disband/retire and he when to full time with the gundam military group, during this time he upgraded the GMs with a 20% output increase and 5% fuel consumption decrease which by all blue prints, designs, theories, and trials should have been impossible. And during his stay he was also put in the brig for awhile as punishment for the million chocobo egg incident.

After a year the military group disbanded and reformed, shortly after hikaru when crazy and attacked the base, during the battle gold's mecha was blow to peaces and he was flung from the wreckage and was stepped on and crushed. Hikaru vanished but appeared sometime after, returned to normal.

What happened that stopped the recovery of gold's body was a stealth Zeon ground unit watching the base. They took the chance to recover what they claimed to be their property. At the new bio weapon base over the phase or 4 months gold's body was yet again restored threw nano technology, upon examining the changes they were surprised to find the developments of telepathic powers. In an attempt to enhance their weapons further they began to try duplicating the powers into 50 other bio weapons. The effects varied by subject who received the treatments and most died the survivors who did not comatose were given the code names: green thorn, black flame, shadow creeper, jade truth, aquamarine, turbo bolt, stone eater, and cruel gravity. Their powers are unknown but it is believed they have something to do with their names. Gold’s code name, only know to the other bio soldiers and a few others is golden dawn.

After a year of attempted reprogramming and studying, a unit based on his powers and skills was developed for him and with the groups recourses only took 3 months to build and finish. An extremely rare material was used in its construction however there is no evidence in it's schematics of what this rare material is or what the name of the material is. The drivers who delivered the materials were taken to Death Valley and killed and there vehicles wrecked.

upon the final test phase of the units finalization, in the middle of the test Gold's mind over came the reprogramming, flooding his mind with nearly all the locked away memories and began attacking the base in total rage, after wrecking the main complex he stole the data archives from the base, it is estimated gold wiped out 18% of the bio weapons at the base, among this data is the only copy of the access code to the Zeon satellites in orbit code named Light star 1-9. These satellites seem to be a drop recall storage system of some sort.

for another year gold went hiding around countries and forests and was under continual attacked by Zeon forces who searched for him, until he forcefully removed the tracking implants in his body, after this fights became worse and gold's condition got worse and Zeon forces came in greater numbers, it was believed in the last encounter cruel gravity took part in the battle and both pilot's mecha were gravely damaged. It is subjected that at least 31 tanks were in the attack, out of the tank treads left behind and the wreckage of 17 tanks, 14 crunched cubes and disks were found at the end of some tank paths. This leads many to believe Cruel Gravity is not mentally stable and attacks his own men.

a couple years later he showed up at the new military base established by hikaru, his mecha was so different yet familiar looking that is was a shock, shortly after a large Zeon platoon showed up with a scientist and demanded there experiment project be returned to them, they claimed gold is their property and called him by the serial number g93762, after some combat the platoon was wiped out and the scientist ran off scared. However shortly after this incident hikaru disbanded the group and joined into the main branches of the GNG. Left over record show he was given medical treatment at the base before disbandment however which leaves thought that he is back into full hiding.

Gold was missing yet again and only reappeared at a GNG recruitment center in the middle or a gorilla terrorist attack and disabled a slapped together mecha that was about to strike at a space cruiser's bridge. He wanted to get his membership in the GNG restored and get the supplies he needed to repair his mecha; however the recruitment center shortly after this went dead silent and everything seemed to vanish and gold is currently missing again.

Gold’s inventions come with good intentions but they have moments when they backfire or cause chaos, or even have no logical purpose at all. Some things he has made are as fallowed mixer for zero G environments or the million chocobo egg; some inventions have been known to backfire such as the rail rocket launcher or the magnetic grenades.

Gold has a tendency to pull himself into things over his head or to pull other people around him into the path that seems to have no end; however he usually does not realize this and believes the people around him to be his family and not military personnel.

Gold’s Morals: He like things peaceful and funny and can be easily annoyed by the little things, when it comes to his inventions he is a perfectionist.
He dislikes the shed of blood and will make every attempt he can to disable his opponent with the least physical and mental damage possible. Thus mind illusion has never been fully used on anyone.
He doesn’t mind some tricks here and there and can be a goof off.
Gold tries to only kill if it is absolutely necessary, and on many occasions has let pilots get away.
Gold also has a high regard to women and has been known to defend them out of the blue for no reason at all.
He also pelives people should have their privacy so he only goes peeks at people's thoughts when the need arises.
in many situations he has but other people's live before his own.

Telepathic Powers: (note there are variations to the powers which are created at different times with different purposes such as mixing Psycho Barrier with Psycho kinesis to trap someone and spin or throw them around.)

Empathy: ability to recognize, perceive and directly experientially feel the emotion of another. Not the most useful ability but it allows one to tell if someone is mentally stable when they appear normal. Oddly this power works by just communicating with someone over a phone of a chat program.

Precognition: a form of extra-sensory perception involving seeing future events. This ability is much like the power Newtype pilots have. However it gives a far wider range of future perception as well as options to take, as the results they can bring. A side effect is the viewing of future events way before they happen while I sleep.

Psycho kinesis: the use of mental power to move or affect objects. (Effected by gravity)
Weight limit varies by object and number of objects. Max weight currently is 1500 Lb.
Speed and velocity varies by weight and aerodynamics of objects. Is able to match a fired bullet’s velocity with objects under 60 Lbs. in weight (requires precise concentration for anything heavier then 25 pounds).

Psycho wall/barrier: forms a hardened wall of mental energy in a radius shell or in wall around a target or myself. Capable of blocking attacks, or intruders from reaching a target. Unlike force fields and such EMP does not affect this power. Barrier is strong enough to block continuous fire from assault rifles, however the more attacks and power hitting the barrier the more strain put on the mind of the character and the mentally worn out the character becomes. It is reasonable to believe that it could block a speeding vehicle from colliding into the target, with a resulting side effect of severely straining the character and causing them to pass out for a period of time and waking up with side effect worse then a hangover.

Psycho deflection: much like the barrier, it negates attacks from the target however it veers them from the target instead of reflecting or stopping incoming attacks. This power is les straining on the mind however it requires precise use of precognition to remold the path velocity and air around attacks.

Psycho Wave: creates a burst of mental energy that the spreads out like a shock wave from the character. It can be shot in a 360 degree sphere, a 360 degree surrounding radius, a 180 degree forwards or rear burst, a 90 degree speed blast. Not normally lethal unless a lot of power is put into it or if the targets land on objects which would penetrate into them.

Psycho blast/orb: an attack or pure mental energy can range from a slight stun to a bone shattering impact. The blast is raw formed energy shot at the targets which blasts into the target. The orb however can be used like a wrecking ball or a blast upon impact. Unlike the blast attack however things can be drawn into the orb such as fire, oil, gasses, water, objects, ect. However forming a sphere is harder then a simple blast and thus size of the orb can not get larger then 3 feet in diameter, upon reaching sizes this large it becomes very fatiguing to use it and can quickly ware out the character. Normally in combat the character will stick with orbs the size of bowling balls to keep mental strain down and deal needed damage.

Clairvoyance: a form of extra-sensory perception, also known as remote viewing. Allows one to see things in other places at the moment they happen. This power is not under control and can happen at any one time or place for no reason what so ever.

Mind read: requires the character to be within 30 feat of the target. Able to pick up the things running threw someone’s mind, does not allow the character to search into someone’s head and figure out all there plans and everything they know. Useful for obtaining passwords or key info that someone may have as long as that person happens to be running it threw their head. Can also pick up someone’s strong emotional thoughts from up to 60 feet away.

Mind illusion: a trick of messing with a person’s brain patterns and electrical synapses, it allows one to cause a target to view things that are not there. If time is taken a character can completely change someone’s view of reality causing then to see things like the world has changed into nothing but insects and insects are crawling out of their skin, however if during this process a mark is not written to end the illusion and to stop if the person is about to crack or pass out it can cause permanent brain damage to the target. Unless you’re truly trying to mess with someone, it is recommended to only make them see something for a short time to cause paranoia or tease someone, can be great during ghost stories.

Levitation/Flight: actually the use of Psycho kinesis on one self to fly levitate walk on walls and ceilings or walk on spikes, water, or other things which can cause a hindrance.
Flight speed can reach up to 70 miles an hour depending on the wind velocity and direction.

Idea implant: it speaks for itself but it basically put and idea or action into someone else’s mind. Some uses of this are as fallows: making a guard sitting at his desk pushes the security button to allow a door to open up or make the chef put chocolate frosting on a cake instead of lemon. Or possibly even make an assassin put the poison into his own cup of wine instead of the assassin’s target’s glass of wine.

Psycho Control: basically it is Psycho kinesis but for further definition it is basically how you push a button from 5 feet away or work on 3 computers at once or cook pancakes on the grill while your look in the fridge for the syrup.

Psycho fist: is the same as Psycho blast/orb except the energy is stored on the character’s hands and released upon the fist’s impact.

Mecha description:

Current condition: heavily damaged and can not fight in air/space combat, ground combat currently limited medium and close range only, movement is hindered by damage to the left knee. The left arm revolving weapon chamber is wrecked. The solid ammo is used up and the beam rifle is damaged.

Color scheme: currently the prototype color scheme.

Head: same look as the gundam evolve nu gundam's, eyes and forehead crystal color is blue

Chest: resembles closely to the strike freedom's chest area.

Arm shoulder: Shoulder resembles the f91's shoulders and the lower arm section looks like a thicker version of the strike freedom's arm.

Torso, hip, and legs: are modified versions of the gundam evolve version of Nu gundam with slightly larger thrusters in the legs.

Shield: gundam evolve version

(The fallowing is the looks of the gundam)
The gundam was an orange chest, black torso, with varying colors of orange black and red on different sections of the body, the body looks blackened and burned, and blast marks in the body can be seen all over.

the hands of the gundam as well as the joints on the shoulders, wrists, elbows, knees, and his are a gold color, the back contains 2 sets of wings, one wing type resembles the freedom gundam's boosters but more feathery looking, one is actually bent half way up sideways and twisted and the other is partly blown apart. The twisted look does not look possible naturally.

And the other wings are storage racks fin funnels half of which are either half there or not there at all. There is a total space for 12 fin funnels.

3 holding chambers next to the wings (one on each side) in the pack are weapon holding slots one holds an anti ship sword which is more then broken in half, and the other slot holds a large beam rifle with it's coolant tanks blown apart. The center holding unit is for a hyper bazooka which is missing.

The shoulders are wider then usual and there is empty space between the shoulder movement thrusters and the arm. The hips have a holding rack for beam sabers and under this the side plate seems to be a drop slot that supplies something.

A decal on the left shoulder shows the Zeon emblem slashed threw by what looked to be a beam blade burn.
(End of its looks)

Equipment: dummy launchers in hands, birdlime launchers in hands, psycoframe cockpit, antenna periscope x2 (for viewing above surface of water from under water or around corridors or above cover or tree tops, max extension 30 meters), thermal sensors 3dm, flares compensators, inertia dampeners, hip grenade dispensers x2 (capacity 8 each), ultra sonic vision 3dm, seismic sensors 3dm, sonar range 43 miles (high resolution 3d mapping system capable or 3dm), high resolution 3d mapping system, capable of mapping a 3d model of an area and projecting it to the pilot, radar 52 mile range 3dm, cold vision sensors, snipers cam in head.

universal morphing plugs in hands (can change shape or input points or slots needed to use weapons, allows the pilot to use any weapon any mecha can use as long as the weapon does not exceed the gundam's lift capacity, new plug types take several minutes for the plug system to adapt and reshape to fit the plug sockets. also the plug can not shape it self to weapons for larger mecha.

Psycho Drive: A system which converts and enhances mental energy as if the gundam itself was the character using the powers. Allows the use of Psycho blast/orb, Psycho fist, Psycho kinesis, Psycho wall barrier, Psycho deflection, and Psycho wave to be used by the mecha. The drain is 1.2x higher on the pilot. Psycho kinesis reaches higher speeds and weight up to 5 tons.

Power supply: 3x prototype plasma cold fusion generators. Estimated output per generator is 4,740 KW

Height: 18 meters

Weight: 58 metric tons

Space speed: travel optimal 4.1 G, combat 2.8 G
Earth atmosphere speed: travel 2.1 G (without gears and ammo 2.5 G), combat 1.4G (without gears and ammo 1.7 G)
Ground (earth gravity): running 74 Mph (with all ammo lost and all gear detached 91 Mph, walking 40 Mph (without gear and ammo 51 miles per hours walking)
Propulsion uses rocket fuel (estimated storage of 2000 gallons. can also Use plasma from reactors for propulsion. thrusters must be cleaned after extended plasma fuel usage of thrusts.

Shield: APS and beam diffusion armor, stores 4x missiles underneath.

Armor: Hardened gundanium alloy with carbon lacing, the body is phase shift armor which nullifies physical damages to the mecha such as missiles and solid rifle rounds, however something such as an anti ship sword can penetrate the Phase shift ability. The joints are applied with both PS and beam reflect ant material. To make this armor is extremely time consuming and costly. Estimated 80 million gold to construct the armor for each joint.

Weaponry:
Anti ship sword (back): MMI-968 "Ragnarok" anti-ship sword made with beam reflecting PS armor. reflects beam blades and shots, penetrates threw beam shields, armor in the metal makes it extremely durable to physicals impacts, is capable of breaching a super dreadnaughts armor or the armor of a ship equal to a super dreadnaught, the sword however is meant for taking down mobile armors and super weapons. (if velocity is lost striking into super dreadnaught class ship armor there is an 85% chance it will get stuck in the ship.

Large beam saber: power rated at 4.25 MW, bottom hold penetration point, large blade forms in a curve, stored in recharge chamber in backpack.

Large beam rifle: power rated at 5.6 MW, has detachable sniper parts and settings, in sniper mode power raises to 9.2 MW and fire rate lowers by 23 seconds for power increase and cooling performances.

2 x high velocity 60mm Vulcan guns: fire-linked, mounted in head, 2k rounds held for each Vulcan, belt fed.

4x beam sabers: 2 in hip holsters, 2 located in arm chambers, power rated at 2.72 MW, can be linked into dual beam sabers.

Shield holds and can fire 4 standard or cluster missiles.

fin funnels: beam blasts power rated at 4.11 MW, and produce energy fields which block out incoming attacks but allow the protected target to fire out of the barrier, barrier can also be reversed to allow shots into the barrier on a trapped target. unlike a beam shield this energy shield can not be canceled by a beam shield or beam reflecting armor, this does not mean however that the pilots is safe if he decided to stand in the way of a weapon equal to that of the messiah (a very powerful beam cannon built into the moon.) or genesis (another super weapon).
The fin funnels can also be used like piercing spears and are very good at ripping limbs off of mecha; they can also be used to hold a mecha down.
Fins use plasma thrusters to fly and maneuver and must be cleaned after heavy usage.
Fins must return to there placement in the storage wings to restore the energy supply. Battery life depends on how they are used.
6 fins can create a 360 barrier around the gundam. It is best to use 6 and keep 6 in the wings and switch out as needed.
Shield is not immune to EMP.

Grenade dispenser: supplies grenades; can hold flash/flare, shrapnel, plasma, jam, and jamjam grenades.

4 x RQM92Z "banish-Edge 1" beam boomerang (carried in shoulders), power rated at 2.11 MW

Right arm rotary chamber weapons:

High velocity 120mm heavy double machine gun (internal magazine 1k rounds)

Data link tool system: not a weapon but allows the unit to access into terminals and devices that the unit does not have ports for, also for direct link cracking.

Plasma arc torch: welding tool that can be used as a weapon if need arises

Variable speed particle rifle, frequency ranges to slice threw hardened armor and cut threw beam shields.

Left arm rotary weapons:

Beam chain saw: 1.5 MW, used of wood harvesting or metal cutting. (Not usable in fast paced combat. suspension joins can not hold, not recommended to block beam sabers with.)

Heat rod whip

4 rack missile launcher, fires standard or cluster missiles

Fire extinguisher (foam)

2 x MMI-X520 "Divine flame" palm beam cannon 4MW

Hyper bazooka: clip-fed, 4 rounds per clip plus 1 round in chamber.

2 x MX4100 "Asgard" beam shield generator, mounted on forearms

Shadow stealth system: an advanced cloaking system which renders the unit invisible to radar, visual, thermal, and other main forms of vision. thermals vision can not see this as a super coolant pump system in the unit keeps the temp low enough around the entire body of the unit it does not show up, however if the pump system is damaged or fails this ability is lost, the unit can still be found by seismic activity, sonar, and ultra sonic vision, or of course a bird sitting on this air (and unless your near by its unlikely your going to notice a single pigeon sitting on nothing.) requires 400 gallons of liquid nitrogen to function. EMP can nock the stealth function out, not recommended to stand still while snow is falling while using cloak. It is recommended to keep moving in heavy rain or light rain as rain as the rain will outline the mecha and become visible. It is not recommended to use the clock in the rain since it has very little benefit.

My Department 5 Character.

Name: Leandro Guerra
Age: 31
Appearance: Leandro is a tall Spanish man, standing evenly at 6'2". While he is solidly built, he does appear slender for his height. His skin appears naturally tanned, and his black hair is kept in a neatly-kept buzz cut. Thick eyebrows adorn an overhanging brow, the bridge of his nose jutting strongly forward before hooking down. His cheeks slope into a narrow jaw, making his head seem strangely top-heavy.

Apparel: Leandro likes to wear conservative but comfortable outfits. When in a professional setting or even enjoying time off, he's known to wear a suit, usual in blacks and grays. Instead of a button shirt, however, he'll usually wear a form-fitting turtleneck under his jacket. Even in field situations not requiring a uniform, he'll wear a pair of black slacks, dress shoes, and one of his turtlenecks (he's got them with long and short sleaves.).

Skills: Leandro is, first and foremost, a demolitions expert. He is familiar both with the inner workings of architecture, and the explosives that brings architecture to its knees. In terms of combat, he is proficient with standard firearms, but nothing special. He has persued karate recreationally, and has reached the level of 8-dan in Shotokan style. He speaks English and Spanish.

Cybernetic enhancements: Leandro has the standard cyberbrain network adaptor, as well as ocular enhancements allowing to see a wider spectrum than the usual eye. This enhancement can release certain types of radiation that allows Leandro to see the chemical tags lacing most explosives, as well as X-rays that allow him to see the supports under most structures. Unfortunately, when his eyes are set to this level of detection, he stands out on most sensors that extend beyond the range of visible light. He also has a minor enhancement to his brain specifically designed to carry out high-speed geometric calculations, allowing him to quickly size up a structure's integrity (and how to bring it down).

Previous job / awards: Three awards of recognition in the field of architecture as the Head Architect for Manabu Seido, Ltd. Two commendations for work in the field (one construction, one demolition) as an Officer in the GA.

Brief history and personality synopsis: Leandro was born to a well-off Spanish family, and his upbringing had a heavy emphasis of logic. He entered school early, and skipped half of high school. He graduated from the renowned Carter City University, and thanks to his family connections, was soon given a cooshy job with Manabu Seido, Ltd. A company that dabbled in a little bit of everything, he headed up a number of innovative building projects, and his talent was soon highly-touted within the private sector.

A sizeable portion of Leandro's education was spent in boarding schools, and there he was taught hard moral values that his parents never took the time to teach him. Leandro, with his backing in science, developed a sense of justice rooted in logic. The MS company was many things, and one of these things was corrupt. Leandro turned a blind eye to this aspect of his employer at first, but soon came to despise the inneficiency caused by the corruption. After several years of sticking with the company, he finally quit. With his qualifications, he was certain he'd find a new position in no time.

What he didn't take into account was the sheer amount of clout held by Manabu Seido. Seido wanted Mr. Guerra's work under the MS name, and he saw to it that no positions opened up to Leandro. The best Leandro could manage was a low-ranking position with a small demolitions company, and given his knack, he excelled in bringing buildings down as much as he did in building them up. He spent the better half of the next decade learning the ins and outs of the various explosives used in the demolitions field.

He was approached with an offer from the GA about four years ago, when violent activity from the many superpowered dwellers of Gaia started to rise. They wanted someone with top-notch skills to back their structures, making them more secure, as well as someone who would give them better access to opposing defenses. Leandro was promoted quickly, aided largely by his organized and logical approach to... well, everything.

With the new opportunity afforded to him by his high rank, he saw a chance to create a new balance. Eager to put things to order as he saw it, he joined up, accepting along with his new position the cybernetic enhancements that would make him that much better at his job.

Leandro is highly organization-oriented. He seeks order in everything, including his demolitions. Destruction is part art, part science, and he takes it very seriously. The quest for order is also what brought him to his study of karate.

Rachele Rivers

Rachele Rivers Biography, Part I

Account name: Ai Leen / Rachele Rivers
Character name: Rachele "Blue Knight" Rivers, GNG Captain, CO - GNG Recruitment Center / Rachele Steltraver, The Lady of Northguard, The Knight Wynde
Hair: "Goldenfire" reddish blonde
Eyes: Summer blue
Race: Caucasian
Description: Gold and fire hair, summery blue eyes, and a figure to kill for, this woman is an absolute vision to behold...yet there's more to it. Her gaze always reflects it, even just a bit, and her posture seems always just a bit on edge. Eager might be too strong a word, though determined certainly pegs it. Her voice carries the potential for command, but carries vestiges of the innocence of a child.

History: Rachele Rivers has never known her past, and never will. It was the sacrifice her past life made in order to correct the mistake of her father, Rathaniel Steltraver - the Knight Hawke.

He who holds Vigil over the Timestream.

Far in the future, a man suceeded where everyone hoped he would fail. Legions fought against him: those gifted with great power, and those who fought as though Destiny itself guided their hands. Yet ultimately, the man's desires came into fruition: The extinction of the human species. Yet in the final moments of the destruction of his homeworld, this man was given horrible insight into the deaths of each man, woman, and child. And in that final moment, he repented...too late. All alone with his dead world, the man who would come to call himself Rift worked with all the intensity of the man who could thwart anything in his way...and came up with a way to redeem himself utilizing the very means of humanity's destruction: mastery over Time. Rift's plan was very simple: thwart himself. Yet such a plan proved more difficult than he could have imagined. For each time he stopped his former self's progress, a new path was discovered...a new corridor that led to the End of the world. Rift's actions led him further and further back into the Timestream...and it was there that he met Rathaniel Steltraver, who swooped in from the trees to save Rift from an invading army's notice. He was a noble's son in a medieval era, the heir to the very lands that were becoming beseiged, Rift learned. And he was a strong one: during the next few weeks, while his father's keep was beseiged, Rathaniel forged an order of warriors, training them in the ways of knights and rangers. The Order of the Screaming Hawke they began to call themselves, after the standard emblazoned on his shield: a bird of prey shrieking defiance into the moonlit heavens.

This Order proved pivotal in turning the tide of the battle for the land, forcing the invading army to fall back within their own borders. Rift had observed all this, and decided that such a man could prove the edge he needed in the fight to stop his former self. Rift stepped forward in time, to a point of stability in the lands. And it was there that he began teaching the Knight all he could about the Timestream and how to manipulate it. The two worked together, trying their best to repair the Timestream where they could, while making certain to make it as difficult as possible to repair the sabotage to Rift's former self's efforts. It was the struggle of a lifetime, one Rift did not last long enough to finish. And so the Knight Hawke was left on his own to continue Rift's struggle. Rathaniel was not a learned man by today's standards. He was a direct man, who saw physical conflict as inevitable, and who preferred to resolve that conflict with his own two hands. Yet he was resourceful, and though noble, he was also not stupid. Drawing on the resources of the future, he began several campaigns to stabilize his own timeframe. Low level Power Armors fought against magic wielding foes, academics fought ignorance, and manufactured goods ensured stability. The end goal was simple: If he could lock down this portion of the Timestream, he could concentrate his efforts elsewhere. His crowning achievement in the timeframe became the citadel known as Northguard. Situated at the crossroads of all potential political conflicts and under his direct control, it became the first and most important of his 'Strongpoints' in history.

The citadel of Northguard was to be an important location for another reason: it was to be the place where Rathaniel Steltraver and Caitlin Firaya met for the first time. A visiting envoy from one of the neighboring kingdoms, she was a redheaded, blue eyed beauty with a strong heart and a fiery disposition, as much a warrior in diplomatic circles as he was on the battlefield. The two hit it off immediately on her first visit, and subsequent visits became regular and frequent. To say that Caitlin became a vital part of the citadel's success within the next year and a half would be to grossly understate her contributions. The two were well and truly in love, and everyone around them knew it. Including the powerful enemies the Knight Hawke had made during his efforts securing this era. During one journey back towards her kingdom, Rathaniel was watching her through his extrachronological base of operations, the Hall of Tapestries. It was here that he kept the artifacts that allowed him to observe the Main Timestream, those objects he and Rift had decided to call Tapestries. And it was as he observed her that he saw her imminent death. Desperate to save her he leapt through the Tapestry, forgetting to close the passage back in his haste.

The Knight Hawke returned after the rescue, to discover his demesnes ransacked. Various artifacts had been strewn about, destroyed, or stolen. It was all he could do to keep his temper in check, literally. For several days, he sat, brooding in his Hall. Finally, he set about trying to discover what had happened to the stolen artifacts: namely, a pair of Tapestries. And stepping out of his Hall, he found his carefully constructed world in chaos. Rathaniel and Caitlin together discovered the culprit, a man who would go down in history as The Kingslayer, and it was during this time that the brave Knight discovered he had no ability to alter threads of reality that were the direct results of his actions. Still, through their actions, they eventually recovered both tapestries, and captured a Tapestry this foe had created. Things settled down from there, and the Rogue Tapestry was kept within Northguard Citadel for safe keeping.

Rathaniel and Caitlin eventually married, and had two children: Rachele, then Nathaniel. With this new responsibility in his life, the Knight Hawke began to realize he could not keep up this fight forever. He needed a squire...and he needed that person now. He began at the End of Time, and worked backward. The criteria was simple: he needed someone with courage and strength, yet someone who would not be missed in their time...for the new father had suffered many hardships as Rift's selected: even with control over Time, being in two places at once was still a seeming impossibility. Eventually, he found that heir, in the form of a young Japanese boy who was destined to die in a bus accident.

Tama, the boy who would take over as the Guardian of the Hall of Tapestries, grew up being raised by the Steltraver family, since he had none to call his own. He was the oldest of the three, and while Knight Hawke taught the boy the ways of Timestream manipulation, Rachele was taught by Caitlin on the ways of a diplomat...something that they discovered she had little patience for. Instead, she would beg her family to watch the drill instructors teach squires the ways of Knighthood. So Caitlin and Rathaniel took turns teaching the two. Caitlin spoke to Tama of truth, honor, and loyalty, and of the ramifications of his intervention in politics. Rathaniel meanwhile began to teach Rachele with the same methods he used for the Order of the Screaming Hawke.

The two grew up and into their roles: Tama, though still inexperienced, was talented and was entrusted with the Hall of Tapestries. Meanwhile, Rachele became the Knight Wynde, The young Lady of Northguard. Rachele knew little of how the Hall of Tapestries worked, but she did know it existed, and she personally guarded the Rogue Tapestry...the artifact that the Kingslayer had created. It was a fine time in the history of Northguard. She was a stalwart, courageous girl with a fire in her blue eyes to match her brilliant red and gold hair. Duty was foremost in her mind, and her people worried only that she worked herself too hard to ensure their safety. Still, things were never perfect. Rachele had always had too much of her father in her, and not enough of her mother's political and diplomatic sense, and while she had aides, there were never quite enough of them to cover for all her blunders. Still, the silvery shield with windswept filigree that she bore with her always, a gift of her mother upon her knighthood, seemed to remind most people she'd upset that she was always thinking of the Citadel first...and that the Citadel was the cornerstone of every bordering kingdom's defenses nowadays. And some of those who did not couldn't help relaxing their guard a bit as she grinned. For Rachele wasn't just beautiful, she was radiant.

It was quite possibly the biggest frustration for the girl. She wanted and needed to be accepted for her worth. For people to understand that as she gazed at that Rogue Tapestry every night in her bedroom, a terrible foreboding filled her, a cold hand that clutched at her heart and churned her stomach. The Citadel could never be made strong enough quick enough...and these suitors that multipled with each day she drew closer to becoming 'of Age' merely slowed her, like a swarm of hands reaching out to hold her back. And though the Knight Hawke's preparations were thorough in making Northguard Citadel the strongest single point in history, her fears were coming to fruition.

By this time, Rathaniel, Caitlin, and Nathaniel had all moved to finally enjoy a peaceful family life. A small woodland cabin, cozy enough to fit twice their number, secluded enough to rarely be bothered. The old knight was finally learning the value of peace and quiet, and Caitlin, though missing a bit of the courtly life, found the woods to be a wonderful place. Nathaniel, the baby of the family, was being taught by his now tempered and unstressed parents, and it seemed this child had no strong aspirations other than garnering the love that was showered upon him by his family. Rachele was the rarest sight to Nathaniel, with all the duties she heaped upon herself, he'd seen her perhaps four times since she took command of Northguard. It was because of this that he needed as much of her attention as possible whenever she visited, and because of her stress that he yearned to get her to relax.

Meanwhile, Tama sat in his Hall of Tapestries. Every month by their reckoning, he'd visit, learning more from the Knight Hawke whenever he could. The craft of creating time-space portals was a difficult one. There were three stages of portal creation, ending with Tapestries. And Tama was still learning the second stage. Still it was enough...or...it was. Tama was practicing in the Hall, just a day after his last meeting with his Parents. And it was as he gazed through his most recent creation that he saw it: a massive army attacking Northguard Citadel. Rachele's Northguard Knights, and the Order of the Screaming Hawke he knew would be there, defending the stronghold...and further examination showed that his mother's former kingdom had dispatched their Order of the Rose to aid them. The Kingdom of Geldar, with possibly the most powerful infantry in the world, had sent a contingent of their Geldaraine Knights as well. Northguard Citadel had become the cornerstone of many kingdoms' defenses, he knew there would still be more soldiers rushing to the aid of the Citadel. Still, something bothered him, and so he entered the timestream to investigate. The invading army was the most impressive mishmash of troops he'd ever heard of. There were orcs and goblins, ogres and trolls fighting alongside columns of mercenaries and spellcasters from the Eastern Isles. It was very peculiar. With all of the Knight Hawke's preparations in securing this strongpoint in history, something like this should not be possible. Then he felt it: a tear in the Timestream.

By this time, Rachele was pushing back the orcs, spearheading a column of shield-knights from the Citadel, clearing the way for the Order of the Screaming Hawke to maneuver. She was no strategist, but the Hawkes' current leader, her father's old friend, was. As she fought, she saw a seige machine in the distance seem to emerge from what she knew to be a solid cliffside. It was then she knew what she was up against, and how this army had come upon them unawares. She fell back, allowing the Captain of her knights to fight on while she dashed back into the Citadel and towards her bedchambers. She entered just in time to see the Rogue Tapestry unfurl, allowing a man to emerge from within it. He was dressed as a gothic duke, with a reversable cape slung over his back, red on one side, black on the other. But the one detail that screamed vampire more than the rest were his fangs. Before charging in to stop him, she reached up to make certain her mail undershirt was covering as much of her neck as possible, and during this moment's hesitation, he stepped out of the weave. He began chanting.

Their struggle was one born of desperation. Rachele absolutely knew that no good could come of a vampire gaining possession of the most dangerous artifact in the world. The vampire had however committed all his power in its retrieval. In the end, the vampire, who revealed his name to be Tocata, won. The spell was cast, and before the Knight's eyes, the Rogue Tapestry vanished. His task completed, Tocata became mist, and departed from the young woman's sight. Shortly after, while she rushed through the citadel searching for any sign of where the Vampire might have gone, a great cry rose up from the battlements. Tocata's army was retreating.

Tama, inexperienced as he was, could only manage to pinpoint the location of the tear before the invading army retreated. Still, tears, unlike portals, could not be easily mended. The new steward of the Timestream rushed to examine the rip moments after the last of the army had withdrawn. He knew of the Hall of Tapestries' creation: it was a small branch of reality that never came to be. What he saw shocked him to the core: someone had created another of these forsaken timestreams. The smart thing would have been to contact the retired Knight Hawke. Pride kept him from that course.

Weeks had passed since the invasion, and all the kingdoms' militaries were still on high alert. More so as Rachele disclosed the theft of the Rogue Tapestry, and the thief who took it. Still, it was difficult to guard against the artifact...especially when no one aside from the Steltraver family knew it could be used as anything other than a teleportation gate. The attacks came suddenly and swift, in a style similar to The Kingslayer: high ranking officials in every government were attacked in their own chambers, offices, or throne rooms. Thirteen attacks already and the two Steltravers, Rachele and Tama, could not catch him.

The Kingslayer protocols were once again unearthed, and implemented: guards would restation themselves within the rooms the VIPs were in, and everyone in the room would sit with their backs to the walls. Additionally, since it became known Toccata was a vampire, garlic, holy symbols and water, and various other items reputed to frustrate this particular form of undead were used. Meanwhile, Tama searched the Timestream for clues, and passed along the likely next targets to Rachele. To hear it told, Tama had in fact crossed paths with the vampire on several occasions now, constantly battling in that space between the streams of time. He had lost several times, and each time, a vital part that made up the Strongpoint the Knight Hawke had established in this era was weakened. Things were definitely grim.

Thus, Rachele secretly resolved to end the problem personally. "Dear Tama is doing all he can. I too must put mine life on the line," she uttered into the secluded chamber's depths as she grasped her blued blade and silvery shield. Tama had sent a message to her: Toccata would be attacking the Shrine tonight, possibly to kill the Elder Father. It was a bold move, for a vampire to enter holy ground. Impossible, from everything she'd been taught. Still, the Shrine Guards and the Northguard Knights readied themselves.

The battle came swiftly, and unexpectedly. There was the familiar feel of the Tapestry being used, followed by a horribly battered Tama who seemed to materialize out of nowhere, slamming shoulder first into the stone floor, tumbling end over end, then finally slamming into a marble column. The Rogue Tapestry unfurled, and within its weave, the vampire's visage could be seen.

Toccata was not alone. Three sorceresses marched before him, weaving a song of destruction as they emerged from the Timestream artifact. Rachele rushed them, putting herself between all four, interrupting the sorceresses at any opening, while holding her shield between herself and the vampire within the Tapestry. It was a minute before Tama could be heard staggering to his feet, and another moment before she heard him shaping a Mirror - the best form of Timestream manipulation he could form, a crude second when compared to Tapestry creation. It was enough to get him to where Toccata was however. With her adopted brother fighting the vampire, Rachele quickly knocked out the three sorceresses. They were probably very good at their craft, but she'd chosen the battleground well. There was no place in the chamber they could go that would put them out of melee range.

Outside this chamber, she heard her knights and the Shrine Guards in heavy combat, fending off what must have been a massive assault. Still, from the sounds of the battle, they would survive, and prevail.

That left Toccata, and the Rogue Tapestry. Tama was getting beaten back once again, his face twisted in pain as she watched their fight unfold within the threads of the Tapestry. Would she be able to handle Toccata if he couldn't hold out? But even if she could, the Rogue Tapestry would just be sitting there, waiting for another to claim it. If this vampire could steal it from her chambers in the most impregnable fortress in the world, it could happen again. Was there a way to destroy it, while Toccata wasn't guarding it? Her eyes fell upon the Mirror...and an idea sprang to mind. Her father had told her the story of why the Rogue Tapestry existed. And how he didn't think carrying it into the Hall of Tapestries through a construct like a Mirror or a Tapestry was a good idea. Yet this Mirror was constructed to enter wherever Toccata was standing...and she bet that wasn't the Hall.

Rachele bashed the Mirror with her shield, shattering it into a thousand pieces, then grabbed the two longest, sharpest shards and rushed to the Rogue Tapestry while yelling for Tama to get away. She slashed and tore at the dangerous artifact, ripping it, shredding it, then finally stabbing the two improvised weapons into the heart of Kingslayer's creation. She saw Toccata running towards her, distorted in the dangling threads. She wasn't done yet. She quickly grabbed at the Tapestry, and rolled it up. A glance at the Elder Father was all she needed. He understood, and left the room quickly, uttering a blessing upon her. As the door shut, she thrust the Rogue Tapestry into the scattered shards.

Then the world seemed to explode.
