Melanthos/War (Gideon)

Locations

Melanthos' Residence
Currently trapped in the body of the gruff Werewolf, Gideon Silouanos, War is an unintended guest in the Lady Kishara's vibrant rooms.

Silouanos Manor
Previously a towering triumph of architecture which housed the entire extended family of the Silouanos clan, it consisted of two floors and wings with dozens of rooms. The Age of Destruction's many earthquakes and maddening spell led to feuds amongst the occupants, which ultimately spelled the demise of the residents and their fortified space. The foundations are cracked, the house itself a colossal ruin surrounded by spindly forests clinging to life. Nothing and no one dares to live there now.

Additional Characters

Milo Silouanos
Grandson of the infamous Gideon, Milo is a seven-year-old runt who is also a pure-blooded Were. Typically very open and friendly, Milo has a tendency to speak in an informal fashion, one that the Lady Gaia has recently begun to correct with gentle lessons. Although typically a sociable creature, he appears to have an innate fear of the opposite sex, which is yet another problem that Kishara has attempted to alleviate. The boy is fond of the aoide Alexander, and he often occupies both his and Gaia's attention when his grandfather is absent - an issue that becomes more prevalent as Gideon spirals further away from reality and into the will of Melanthos.

Isern Durante
A twice deceased soldier, Isern was one of the many opponents that War threw at Gideon during the testing phase of their encounter. Isern held a rank above our favorite, grumpy werewolf and earned it through feats of military genius and an unusually placid outlook on killing people. The soldier was often teased for his peculiar orange hair and amethyst-colored eyes, though anyone who knew him for long realized that he didn't much care about appearances. He died on the bank of a river during a battle between the Byzantine Empire and the Muslims at an unspecified date. His grave is unmarked.

Akakios
(( Last updated : 01/19/13 ))

Locations -
Echo and Nergal's rooms at the pantheon
See Echo's post =3

Akakios does not live there anymore, but does visit his mother often.

Mystery's Quarters

The Crystal Spires of Deh'Liath

-- SPOILER, HIGHLIGHT AT YOUR OWN RISK <3--
Deh'Liath was the world Nageku once called home, and deep in the tallest mountains of that world stood the crystal spires that was her temple, and the home/training ground of the Witches of Sorrow. After so long, the crystal spires's once smoky colors have faded to clear crystal, the spires themselves left broken and cracked. The few remaining witches still dwell there, hoping for their goddess to return before the last of their numbers die out...

Akakios will one day go to the spires, and will make it his home and first temple, in honor of the one that had lived before him.

Characters -

Tasia (Aoide)
Tasia is an aoide that seemingly came to life after the sky was remade... Or so she says, as she has no prior memories of serving any god. It is from her that Akakios understands how strong the bond in between god and servant can be, and the rainbow naga was the one to fashion the veil he wears.

Grace Shaidey
A mortal with a rather unusual gift - the ability to see and communicate with the dead. She and Akakios have grown up together (as much as a mortal and god could grow up with one another, at any rate) and Grace had decided to give herself to Akakios' service once he grew in influence. Grace serves both as support, as an high priestess, and as the mortal element Lament lacks thanks to his lack of rebirth through a host.

Grace is played by midnight_medea.

Nageku
The Lament of old, a goddess who lived mostly at the Crystal Spires of Deh'Liath, only travelling to the old pantheon to attend court and visit friends. Twin to the old Grief, Nageku was a minor goddess at best, known as the softer part of sorrow - the sorrow that stings, but that eventually leads to recovery.

Nageku was among the firsts to die - not through the fading itself, through the fading certainly helped her meet her fate. The goddess found her end once she had gather all her power - with her aoidei giving out their life to return their goddess' power to her for one sole purpose - and sought to take down Lorinia - once one of her witches that had gone rogue. Lorinia had grown too powerful however, and Nageku found her end at the witch's enchanted dagger. Lament's leftover power was taken by Lorinia, only making the betrayer more dangerous than ever before - and effectively preventing Nageku from being reborn.

Nageku is not Akakios, and Akakios is not Nageku. Nonetheless, the new Lament will seek to know more about the woman that preceded him, and will honor her in his own way, if only because there had been no one left to mourn her once she had fallen.

The Witches of Sorrow (Order)
The name may sound ominous, and in ways one would be right. The witches of Nageku could be fearsome in their own right, should they choose to misuse their power. The true purpose behind the witches, however, was to guide mortals through their grief, especially grave, horrible events that most would require guidance to be survived.

Once in the hundreds, only an handful of witches remain to the current day - many taking their own lives across the ages of Nageku's absence. The remaining witches remain in seclusion at the Crystal Spires of Deh'Liath, waiting for the day their own grief will overtake them. The remaining witches were the strongest and most loyal to Nageku, and in turn to Akakios once the young god will manage to gain their trust.

Lorinia The Betrayer (Witch)
Once one of Nageku's witches, Lorinia carved power before anything else. There was never enough, and she always sought more. When Nageku refused to make her aoide - and thus have her become the leader of the witches in the goddess' absence - she snapped and put her sinister plan into motion.

Nageku only realized too late the treachery of her once-servant, and saw no other choice but to strike down the betrayer herself - though Lorinia's betrayal would run deeper than she could have thought. Lament found her end at the tip of an enchanted dagger, her power absorbed by Lorinia.

Not content to rule the cold and mostly desert world of Deh'Liath, the betrayer set her sight elsewhere. It was upon Aejiss that Lorinia would continue her machinations - two gods had made their home there - Trickery and Mystery. It was onto Trickery that the witch's claws eventually closed, culminating in the death of Eshu's lover and aoide, Nykyrrian - and eventually in Trickery's descent into madness. The Mir'eshu were relocated for their safety, and both deities left Aejiss behind, leaving Lorinia free to build the empire she had so carved, claiming herself as Trickery and gaining power in the goddess' absence.

Lorinia lived through the fading, through her sanity started to unravel through the ages - she forgot her true origins, and simply started to believe herself as Trickery in truth. Eventually, however, Lorinia would meet her end, first drained of her power over sorrow by Akakios, then killed in truth by Tien, as Trickery enacted her vengeance.

Yumehayla/Tista

Locations

Current location
At this moment in time, Yumeh stays in Kaelin's rooms at the Pantheon, but it'll probably change soon. Doesn't have a permanent residence yet.

Demon Realm
A passage between dimensions, constructed from energy of one of the demon races from Yumeh's native world. It can be summoned as a door in any place desired, and when opened, reveals an enormous black space, full of silver, shining points, commonly reffered to as 'Void' - even though it isn't in any way empty. The Demon Realm is full of floating doors - each of those doors leads to a different place, and if you know how to navigate there, you can get to any place in any world in any dimension, in rare cases even going backwards in time, though time travel is somewhat restricted. Some worlds have a lock on them, making them impossible, or near-impossible to access, but the door still is there. The only ones allowed to summon the Demon Realm are the members of the Demons of Thirteen Hours species, which Yumehayla is (he's from the Sixth Hour), and the only ones allowed to enter are those being vouched by a Demon.
Currently, because of what's happening, Yumeh doesn't want to enter the Realm, since he still believes that some worlds might not be affected by current situation, and doesn't want to spread it.

Lumen
Lumen is the twin brother of Aurora, and elder brother of Luciel. He's one of the demons Yumeh met during the week of Hell, who didn't seem agressive towards random people. So far not much more is known about him.

Aurora
Aurora is the twin sister of Lumen, and elder brother of Luciel. She's one of the demons Yumeh met during the week of Hell, who didn't seem agressive towards random people. So far not much more is known about her.

Luciel
Luciel is the younger brother of Aurora and Lumen. He's one of the demons Yumeh met during the week of Hell, who didn't seem agressive towards random people. He was the one keeping the doll that ended with Yumeh. So far not much more is known about him.

Lacrymosa

Echo and Nergal's rooms at the pantheon

User Image

Echo and Nergal now have their own rooms, behind the door of supplicants, arms raised in song as they move along winding paths to find the lands of the dead. To say the the inside is much bigger than the space in between the doors in the corridor would lead one to think... is an understatement.

The whole layout is based on the typical layout of houses of ancient Rome. The "Garden" is a Zen style rock garden. The skylight above is open to the sky and weather, not covered by glass or anything. When it rains it rains. When it pours it pours. If the garden turns into a swamp due to bad weather, the kids are happy.

The large double door from the Commons to the Atrium/Garden are mostly for effect. Even if they are closed, you easily can get to the gardens and the back of the apartments via the hallway. Usually they are open, closed only to darken the common rooms whenever Nergal is holding court, or to shut out the weather when it gets just too bad even for deities to bear.

In the common room the mood is set by silken curtains hanging from the ceiling. They are billowing in the slightest breeze, and their color may change according to which deity is holding court. Vibrant colors for Echo, muted grays and blues for Nergal. There also are myriads of lanterns and candles hanging from the ceiling and set in the alcoves. They may be lit by candles or magic. If Nergal is around, the light is provided by the will o' the wisps that accompany him.

There are a number of sitting accommodations and tables in the commons room, allowing for feasting, discussion and lounging. The largest seat, looking not unlike a throne, is in front of the double door leading to the atrium and reserved for Nergal's/Echo's use. Which doesn't keep their children from taking a nap on it occasionally.

There are no doors from the Commons and the Atrium/Garden towards the hallway, these are open doorways which may only be "closed" by curtains. Almost every wall is covered with murals.

Nergal and Echo each have their own "private" room for whenever they feel the need for recluse. Nergal has his library/study, Echo has her music room.

Yes, their bedroom is HUGE. Its ceiling is painted with the image of a starry sky.

Yes, the bathroom is HUGE as well. It contains a small indoor pool rather than a bath tub.

Lacrymosa's room, specifically
User Image

Crys' room, for some reason, turned out to be amazingly organic and green. There are two ponds, a large one close to the main door, and a smaller one to the far side of the room, fed by a small cascading brook from the larger one. The larger pond can be crossed by the way of stepping stones. The pond waters are dark and murky, and covered with duckweed. Critters live underneath the surface for sure, though if these are fish, or possibly something else, needs yet to be explored. Lacrymosa talks of tentacles, which seems somewhat worrying.

The floor descends from the entrance towards the far side of the room in gently curving terraces. It is covered with moss, not grass, and emitts the scent of moist earth just after a rain fall. There are shrubberies as well.

Droplets fall from the ceiling constantly, as if in a cave deep underground, and if one were to taste the waters, they would find they are salty, and somewhat bitter, just like Lacrymosa's tears. The plants and animals present, however, do not seem to mind the salinity. The whole room is very moist, and – as she keeps introducing them from the outside – there shall be bugs, worms, snails and the like in abundance soon enough.

To the left side of the smaller pond, there is a large weeping willow, part which's roots are hollow. Lacrymosa has made this her cave, cushioned with blankets and pillows, and curls up there to sleep. Right next to it is the door to Kios' room.

Xun Jiang
(( Last updated : 01/19/13 ))

Locations -

Pantheon Rooms
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Xun Jiang dwells behind a door made of living wood, with Teldrassil carved onto the surface. Teldrassil is a large tree, one of the world trees of the night elves (not to be confused with Yggdrasil - these are completely different trees.) His door is right beside Glyph's, and the two of them now open to the same room.

Azeroth
The world of Azeroth is comprised of four major continents, with a number of smaller islands scattered about them. Northrend is located in the north, Kalimdor in the west, the Eastern Kingdoms (aka eastern continents) in the east, and Pandaria in the south. The Eastern Kingdoms are made up out of two large landmasses - the southern one includes Azeroth and Khaz Modan, and the northern land of Lordaeron.

At one time, all of the three major continents (excepting Pandaria) were part of one large continent (known as Kalimdor), with a large magic lake known as the Well of Eternity in the center. When the well exploded at the conclusion of the War of the Ancients, this continent was shattered, leaving behind the continents and islands that exist today. The Forbidding Sea is the expanse of water to the east of the Eastern Kingdoms and the Veiled Sea sits west of Kalimdor. Between the continents lies the Great Sea, while at its center lies the Maelstrom — a massive chaotic whirlpool over the area where the Well of Eternity once stood. It's believed that a part of the Well still exists in the Rift at the bottom of the vortex. It has been active since the Great Sundering ten thousand years ago and still there is no foreseeable natural end to its existence.

The world of Azeroth also may have land located at the other side, beyond the Veiled Sea to the west of Kalimdor, and beyond the Forbidding Sea to the east of the Eastern Kingdoms. No one is sure or has knowledge of what kind of creatures, lands, cultures, life, and sentient being lives in the other side of Azeroth. It is clear though that it is very dangerous.

"A handful of ships have ventured from Kalimdor away from the Maelstrom — to the north, west, and south. None have yet returned."

Azeroth also has two moons, the White Lady and Blue Child.

Characters -

Illisia-related/Night Elves

Elik Shadowmoon

Illisia's eldest, and only son. He traveled with her to the pantheon world, but they got separated on the way, shortly before the death of Universe. A feral druid, Elik has been confirmed to be on the pantheon world by Ashoka, who also said that he would show up one day in the pantheon, but his current wereabouts are unknown.

Meridia Moonrunner

The new high priestess, having risen to rank after the passing of Tyrande Whisperwind, and Illisia's childhood friend. Meridia has a lot on her plate, and she tries her best to deal with everything the best she can. She is a no-nonsense, very perceptible woman, who is quite used to get what she wants, and to work for it. White hair, left loose. Clawmark face marking, like Illisia's.

Kaltyrian Oakkeeper

The new archdruid, and Meridia's husband. The two had been married for years before assending to their respective ruling positions of night elven society. Kaltyrian has even more on his plate than his wife, oddly enough, as he and his druids are the only thing keeping Teldrassil from dying out completely. Blue hair, gold eyes.

Illisia Moonrunner

Meridia and Kaltyrian's newborn daughter, named after Illisia as Meridia had promised. Blue hair, gold eyes like daddy.

Xun Jiang

Lindita (Aoide)

Lindita... has failed demon 101. That's about all there is to it. She does not seem to even have a mean bone in her body, and is rather motherly and more than willing to serve... often to the point of going overboard. After losing her lord not once, but ''twice'', she is rather overprotective of him. Still, she is unlikely to turn to violence other than true self-defense. She is more nature-attuned than most, and happily takes care of her master's rooms and the multiple trees and flowers that were planted there.

Aysu (Aoide)

Aysu was the attendant of Ti-Lung's temple - or one of them, at least - and has been roaming the world in search of his master after the death of his first host, hoping that there had to be trace of him somewhere.... While he no longer has a temple to run, he is more than willing to serve in any way that Xun Jiang will need him. For now, that mostly mean sparring and listening when there is a need to. Aysu is much more level-headed and less emotional than Lindita, and those two points made him the ideal confident... That was not likely to blow things out of the proportion.

Jin Huang:

Locations:

The House
A surprisingly spacious two story house found by Jin Huang, Lysander, and Arithon. It's rather easy to pick out; the surrounding neighborhood fared poorly throughout the weeks of Destruction. While it too nearly crumbled, the restoration of the Crown and influx of other demonic servants has enabled the rebuilding of the house. It's been thouroughly redecorated and restored, although there is as of yet a lack of high-quality furnishings.

Jin Huang's rooms are on the second story, and consist of a bedroom, an attached bath, and what has been converted into his library/study. Across the hall are the Aoide's room, as well as a series of small and rather cramped rooms serving as dormatories for those demons deemed worthy of the space. The lower floor is divided into public and private areas. Upon entering through the front door, immediately to the left is an antechamber, designated as a sort of informal meeting room for visitors. Next door is a bathroom for guests. The formal parlor/living room area is to the right, the vaulted ceiling giving it an open and airy appearance. Spiral stairs connect the two floors.

Past the stairs, curtained off, is an informal den that the demons have claimed as theirs. Attached are the large dining hall and kitchens.

Characters:

Lysander
[text here]

Arithon
Arithon d'Arristos is the other half of the pair of demons who initially found Jin Huang. His former fiery temper has been banked somewhat, leaving the young demon with a somewhat cynical and world-weary point of view. He remains fiercely loyal to his Lord, but has distanced himself from the remains of both his family and extended clan.
[link here]

Seir
Seir d'Arristos was Delmin's best friend, and the one who ultimately caused the man to become Jin Huang's host. He is now partially blind, thanks to a spell that exploded in his face when the Wave hit. He has not been able to return to his erstwhile Lord's side, and retains a large sense of guilt for his role in Delmin's demise.
[links here]

Xu Yong
The first of Jin Huang's Aoide to return to him. Xu Yong is quite reticent regarding her role in Futs Lung's court of old, and seems to have settled into a secretarial role for the reborn Dragon King. She is also rather unwilling to discuss what she did and where she was during the Fading, saying only that it was quite boring.
[link here]

Sitri
SPOILER: I have not written this out. Sitri d'Arristos was the leader of the renegade and mindless demons that appeared after the planes merged during the Week of Hell. Her forces engage in a protracted seige of Jin Huang's house, until he returns, when the cold war erupted into a series of skirmishes and outright attacks, cumulating in the ambush on the way to the Ceremony of Rebirth, where Jin Huang was wounded. The conflict simmered afterwards, the renegades only attacking if Jin Huang left the house. After his rebirth, Sitri was captured and forced to acknowledge the truth of the situation. She remains agressive and warlike, as well as being distrustful of everyone.
[links here]

Demon Horde
Rather reduced in size thanks to the Weeks, the demon families have regathered themselves and remain mostly loyal to Jin Huang. They are, however, seeking to improve upon the bargain struck with Futs Lung in the past. Only recently has this effort gone forward, as they did not acknowledge Delmin as a proper voice for their Lord.
Important Demons:
Raum d'Arristos, the current Head of the Family and to some extent the Clan. Officious and a valuble source of information regarding Xi Yong history. Perhaps overly conscious of her family's historic importance. Raum is the mother of both Seir and Arithon, though they had different fathers. Sitri makes her nervous, as the traditional role of the d'Arristos Head in the Court of Jin Huang is that of Warleader.
Marchosias d'Arristos, Master of the Academy. Functions as the head of the non-magical side of the Academy, training those who aspire to be warriors.
Orias d'Everen, the current Head of the Family. He functions as Raum's chamberlain and steward, overseeing much of the Clan's activities and resources.
Paimon d'Everen, head of Communications. He hardly ever stops smiling and tends to speak in an overly familiar and not quite sarcastic fashion to everyone. It's rumored that he also heads the Xu Yong spy network.
Glasya d'Everen, head Clerk. It is her job to maintain an accounting of the Clan's wealth and trade, as well as assisting Jin Huang in his duties as Treasurer.
Labolas d'Everen, assistant Clerk. Glasya's twin brother, Labolas is his sister's shadow, acting as guard and as her agent in various transactions. He is well travelled among the Planes, and it is possible that other demonic entities maay recognize him.
Marax d'Illionas, current Head of the Family. Raum's magical advisor, Marax is a subtle politician. Anxious to gain benefit and favor for his family, he has promised the safe return of Seir and those left trapped on Delmin's Earth.
Murmur d'Illionas, Magister of the Academy. She is responsible for the training of the mages.
Amdusias d'Illionas, Head Researcher. An innovative mage who quite enjoys her work.
Alloces d'Otian, formerly d'Everen. The d'Otian have once again reformed themselves as a family, and Alloces serves as it's Head. He is ambitious and sees much potential in the aftermath of the Weeks.
Decarabia d'Otian, Alloces's devoted wife who serves as his secretary. She is nearly as ambitious as he is, though much more reticent around the reborn Jin Huang.
Vual d'Urlos, the current Head of the Family. He has shown more than a glimmer of intelligence, though never around the other Family Heads. It's unknown what sort of game the ostensibly thickwitted d'Urlos is playing, but it has piqued Jin Huang's interest.

Cult Members
The members of Delmin's cult that survived the Weeks have largely all been retrieved from their dying world. They are grateful for the assistance, although they remain sceptical of Jin Huang's claims. A handful remain on the world, and it is unknown if they still survive.
Important Members: [list of names]
