Remarking at he child's display of magical prowess he nodded.
"Impressive Claudia. Few people have that same type of focus you are displaying. I can show you how to cast that same spell with less mana sometime. You will learn to use more of the ambient mana rather than your own as you get stronger."
Turning her gaze to the others she smiled.
"This is something that I will teach you both as well. It is the basis of being able to cast larger spells without exhausting yourself or having to have as many spell components."
Returning her attention to Red she smiled.
"Well thank you for the introductions. It puts things in greater perspective than they might otherwise be."
Rising from her seat he smiled.
"I suppose I should release all of us from this spell. If you could all resume the positions you were in before. Time should basically resume just as it would have had I never cast the spell. That and most people are observant enough to notice any changes in posture or movement."

The party reassembled itself according to mask. Red stood at the fore, beside Jared. Behind him was Claudia, and beside her, Mayevelyn. Konosuke and Valin, who had left their masks on, assumed their positions in the back.
"A minor light refraction and spell will handle the issue of size, unless you believe the patrons prone to dispelling with spontaneous paranoia."
The party so assembled, they stood before Epithany, just as they had before she had locked them away in time. Red expressed little concern about the little details.
"It is an interesting way to end the summer."

Grinning playfully at Red she smiled.
"You have more faith in the observational skills of the average person than is actually true. While size and shape are how we identify things, unless we are all being heavily scurtinized, their minds will rationalize any discrepancies. Though I suppose being thorough..."
All at once darkness engulfed them and all within a blink, they were all clearly outside of the pocket dimension she had crafted. Strangely their positions had been switched to reflect the mask changes. Standing before them as she had when she first greeted them she glanced down at the card that had been handed to her. Feigning a frown she shook her head.
"While I would have love to give you private audience beyond my greeting. I am exceedingly swamped with inventory. Perhaps my assistant Lydia can schedule in a meeting. There is always the den you passed through to get her and the archives are always open."
Pausing as if trying to grasp something that was on the tip of her tongue she continued.
"Oh yes, if you need a room or access to the Dojo just place your had over one of the spheres atop your table and voice your wish and a staff member will arrive to assist you."
Bowing her head she smiled.
"Now if you will excuse me. Jordan should return shortly with your tea. No charge of course since I couldn't meet with you."
Bowing her head once again she headed towards the hallway detouring toward the archives.

Mayevelyn and Jared, being better trained than the average human, gave no physical hint at being surprised. Their bodies remained collected and their masks covered their faces. Only their eyes might have given them away, but their backs were to most everyone. Claudia, who was very good at listening, and more accustomed to magic, was marveled, but did not say or do anything to suggest as much.
Red, who had taken Jared's place at the beginning, played his part, and withdrew the card, slipping it back beneath her robe. She turned to her companions, who made way for her, and led them silently out. Jordan came out with a tray of tea, to which the concealed kitsune shook her head. Furrowing his brow, Jordan turned on his heel and retreated, a sense of irritation fuming off of him.
Before they could exit, Lydia caught up to them.
"I apologize we were unable to accommodate your needs this evening, but Mrs. Briefs truly is busy. As she suggested, perhaps it would be wise to schedule a meeting?"
Red looked at her obligingly and paused. She pretended for a moment to consider, then bowed and pressed on. Konosuke, Valin, Claudia, Jared, and Mayevelyn followed across the den and out the door. Others came and went in their wake, but neither party paid the others attention.
