Take her time...or dive in? Hrm, was a choice that Zuri didn't think about for too long, her instincts told her to go with whatever sounded more fun. Happily, she ran forward to the water before even responding and jumped in.
The initial feeling of being so wet shocked her. For a moment, she was completely submerged in water. She gasped, creating air bubbles that floated up to the surface. The water wasn't deep, but Zuri had never gotten her whole body underwater before.
She did whatever she could to push herself up and to the surface. It wasn't too difficult, but she was scared she wouldn't be able to breath. She gasped for air and kicked at the shallow ground below her with her hind legs to push her closer to shore. Once she got close enough for her to be comfortable, she did her best to act as if eveything was alright.
"C'mon in! The water feels....wet!," shouted Zuri, not sure how to describe the water. It wasn't like anything she had felt before, but it wasn't all that bad, just different. It would take some getting used to.

Sawa laughed as he watched her but cringed a little as well, he liked taking his time getting into the water. But if his darling wanted to jump in then he would too! Yes, yes... he'd become a star in her eyes with his superb swimming skills!
He moved forward and walked in quickly, he did not go flying in like she had. Still, it was much faster than he usually got in. "Yeh, does feel a'bit wet, doesn't it?" He grinned at her and moved past her, moving his paws up and down to stay afloat.

Zuri played with the water with one paw, splashing gently in the water happily. She wasn't quite sure why, but it amused her to no end. A sudden impulse came to her and once again, without thinking for a moment too long, she splashed water towards Sawa with a big smile.
"I never knew how much fun the water could be!" she said. A day like this was just what Zuri needed, a nice day to relax and have fun while on her search to find her family.

He chuckled softly and was feeling very happy and joyous as well. He'd never known it would be so much fun to watch a female do something so simple as splash at water... but there it was! He should have come to the swimming holes more often... ah but now that he knew it was just too cute when they swam he could drag siyo to all sorts of watering holes to watch!
As she splashed at him he blinked and dodged back a little, not expecting the wetness to come flying at him. "'ey!" He chided in a playful, completely non-serious manner. He started to swim toward her with a mischievous grin on his face.

Zuri quickly moved to the side as Sawa approached her, giggling as she moved. She flicked her tail at the water, splashing it in no particular direction. Her heart was racing in happiness as she leapt into the water again with a splash. Her body gently hit the shallow bottom, causing her to rise up again.
"So, tell me Sawa, how often do you come out to play in the drinking holes?" she asked jokingly. She lowered her head down slightly, sipping at the water she was swimming in with a loud slurping noise.

Sawa's eyes popped. "Oy, oy, oy!" He cried out in a playful yet serious manner. "I no do play 'ere often!" He said, as if she was hinting that alls he did with his days were waste them away swimming in the watering hole. He stuck his tongue out at her.
"Me an' my chum Siyo 'ave much more important ma'ers." He said matter of factly.

"Important matters? Oh, really?" she said sarcastically, not sure if she was believing that. She gave a light smile, she didn't really care whether it was the truth or not. But, thinking it wasn't the truth and just him joking around, she decided to play along. "Could you give me an example of one of these 'important matters' that would have to be taken care of?"

He wasn't so sure if he liked telling a girl about his and Siyo's secret matters... even if she was a really cute girl. But he guessed it was alright.
He scooped water with his paw in a splashing motion and sent it her way. "'Ell we do lotsa stuff. We always need'a be lookin' fer meat." They usually stole it. "An... well.. we 'ave to explore all o'er, it no would do to just stay in one place all the time. Plus Siyo be in the middle o' findin'imself." He nodded more to this and rolled his eyes. "Trus' me it be hard work."

"Oh, right, sounds so busy," she said, putting as much believability into her tone as she could. He was being honest with her, though she didn't find that all too impressive. At least, not in comparision to her. She's been on her own for a while, having to find all of her own food, find her own shelter, find her own friends, most importantly, trying to find her family.
Her family, she had almost completely forgotten, yet she somewhat enjoyed neglecting her journey. She was having a lot of fun, but she knew that she would have to get moving again soon. Zuri hadn't realized it, but when she thought about her family, she looked down a bit saddened. As soon as she realized her body language, she quickly changed it to act more positive, covering up her emotions.

He blinked as he watched her and was quick to pick up on her moods. He was no good at accessing how siyo was feeling.. but when it came to girls it was a different matter. Well most of the time, anyways.
"Ya alrigh'?" He asked slowly, moving toward the shore. He really didn't want to swim anymore.

"Yeah, I'm fine," she said. It wasn't too much of a lie. For the most part, she did feel just fine. But she couldn't help but miss her family a little bit. She didn't want to ruin her day with Sawa with her negativity. She needed to change the subject.
"Aside from playing in waterholes and hunting for meat, what else do you do in these parts?" she asked a bit weakly, getting out of the water. She was soaking wet, dripping on the ground. She hoped she would dry up soon.

An awkward silence plagued the conversation. Zuri wasn't sure what else to say or do. She looked down at her paws as some water dripped off her wet chin. After a few seconds, she looked back up at Sawa with a light sigh.
"Well, I guess we should start heading back then," said Zuri somewhat awkwardly. "I probably should also get going. Not best to stay in one place for too long, I've got to find my family. I need to keep on moving."

He nodded slowly and shook off. "Aye... well besta luck teh yeh. Maybe one day we be runnin' into each other again, eh?" He raised a brow and grinned, and started to slip away through the grass.

"I hope so," said Zuri. She wanted to see Sawa again. "Its been a lot of fun. I do hope we can find each other in the future, but first I need to find my family. Good bye, Sawa."
Zuri smiled at him as he walked off. She gave a quiet sigh, a slight frown that the day of fun was at its end and slowly started to mournfully walk off.
