((Kewl!))
"To hell and back with what others say." Ye gods...Chase knew this guy wasn't going to change all at once. It was going to take a while...but Chase didn't mind. He liked helping people, even if he couldn't always help himself. Shin wasn't the worst case he'd seen before...but the boy's sense of self-worth and belonging was pretty well mangled. "We can try to be what people expect...but we'll always disappoint someone...Unless what they expect is for you to be yourself. I...I've seen a lot of people torn so many ways because they try to be what others want. For a few years, I myself tried to be like that...tried to be like the other guys and like girls...But I was miserable." Chase took his hand from Shin's back and dug into one of his pants pockets. From the recesses of the fabric, he pulled out a slightly bent business card and presented it to Shin. "For later on...If you ever need someone to talk to. And if a girl answers the phone, that's either my sister or the kid livin' with us. More likely my sister though, the kid's not too keen on people for some reason..."

"But I should have been as good as my mother expected, done just as she wanted. A mother gives life, and a single mother has to raise it all on her own. Japans a really expensive country. It was so hard for her. I just made it worse.." Shin said, seeming to almost have a determinedly low thoughts of himself. It seemed after one thing was dismissed something came up. He must have had a lot of layers, a lot of reasons. Lord knows how long it would take to try to sort though them all. Even a therapist may get a bit tired if they tried to dig them all out one by one. It was almost strange that he wanted to adopt and raise a child. He had so many problems, so many wounds and scars in his spirit. He was like a walking ring of self destruction doing so in such a slow dance it was terrifying how easy it would be to miss it. It could so easily be ether not seen or be dismissed as skiddish low self esteem. He actually used his intelligence, he actually thought things out a lot. Though he wanted help he also wanted to bury things further down. When Chase handed him a card the Japanese boy took it in his light brown skin. He finally got off of him, standing up and looking at the card. Using those same feminine dainty hands he started to work on the bend until it looked better. Well if he was going to hand him a card then the young looking man should too right? He grabbed back up his bag, putting the card in then pulling out something of his own from out of his wallet that had been in the bag. A gold plated card holder. Opening it he took out a card, the ink Plain and black and the letters where Copperplate Gothic Light. The paper was a fine cream color and a bit thick. "Its only right to hand you a card right? It wouldn't be right if it was just... you.."

((Sorry for the long wait!))
Chase just smiled, letting Shin talk. I was often better to get thoughts out in the open, rather than keep them bottled up. That was always step one...The blue-eyed man took the card from Shin, putting it in the breast pocket of his blazer. "Thanks. Unfortunately...I need to get back home, or my sister's gonna worry herself too much. Uhm..." He thought for a moment, smiling as he looked to Shin again. "How about we meet up another time? You could use someone to talk to on a regular basis." And use some time away from outside destruction...
