"Hmm..morning. I slept okay," said Kinnara with a yawn and rubbing the back of his head. Kinnara ears flickered as he heard they were going to the dragon's temple. After his conversation with the OX he wonder if the dragon would appear as the OX did or would come out during day.
"Do you think we will find anything about the race?" asked Kinnara. He was unsure of what would happen if the rat were there. The rat loved to tease him and torture him as well.

"I don't know dear. I've never really visited these temples before. I lived in the more Southern region of Japan before I moved to Gaia."
Today's breakfast was more traditional. Fish, rice, veggies, and some tea. Bijin yawned a bit as well which only made his mother smirk.
"I hope you boys didn't stay on the ousan too long. Or stay up late talking. We all need our rest for this trip."
Bijin just smiled and sured his mother he was just fine, and that it was probubly from his dreams again. Once they finished the little trio got cleaned up and went to the taxi. It was an ox drawn carriage and the ox seemed to stare at Kinnara for a bit before going back to his leisurely cud chewing. Once all in they headed off down the road and took a turn onto a path through some woods.
"Ne, is it hidden Okaa-san?"
"A little, the dragon is a royal symbol and also one of the wisest creatures in the zodiac. So, like many monk temples, it is set back into the woods where they can remain unbothered by modern things."
When they reached the temple, they were dropped off and told the taxi would be back in a few hours. The temple itself had two parts, a small shrine area with a big dragon sculpture, and a main temple. Thats where Bijin and his mother walked to, leaving Kinnara to go where he pleased.

Kinnara had fallen asleep during the taxi ride. He was still tired from the long night the other night. He knew that by the time they got there he would feel a little bit better. Kinnara slept peacefully for the most part of the ride. He then awoken to find they had already arrive at the temple. "Here already?" said Kinnara with a yawn. He then stretched a bit and uncramped his body.

"We are going to do some research Kin-sempai. You can walk around if you like. The um...dragon statue...is in there." He smiled softly and toddled off with his mother.
In the main temple Bijin and his mother went through the many old scrolls that were stored there. She was able to find out a little bit about the zodiac tale, but only that there had been some sort of disagreement after the main race.

Kinnara nodded and walked over to the statue. He just looked at it as if it were getting ready to move. His tail and ears just flickered. "I guess this statue hasn't awakened yet. " Kinnara huffed and kicked the bottom part of the statue. He then jumped a bit from the pain of his shoe hitting a stone. Kinnara calmed down a bit and noticed that everyone was still. "What the." He ran about to see if anyone was moving. No one.
"You're as naive as ever cat." said the dragon.
"Yes naive and stupid." said another voice. It was the rat.
"No listen to me. If you don't leave we will be forced to take action. " said the dragon who was a woman. She had a kimono on and what seemed to have a snow white confection sort of like a gasha but with horns of a dragon and a tail of a dragon. Her eyes were that of red.
Kinnara snarled. "I want to know who I am. I need to know. "
"you are nothing cat. You are something that should have been made," said the rat.
"Then why am I here."
"To become normal." said the dragon.
"Kinnara. Kinnara. You just don't see what you have. " said the rat.
"Shut up. I want to know my life even if it means I have to fight."

Bijin helped his mother study a bit but soon became concerned about Kinnara. He excused himself and walked towards the dragon statue. He hid agian, not wanting to interupt. He blinked wide eyed at the rat. He wished there was something he could do to help. He wanted his friend to be happy. But what could he do?

The rat smirked. "So you wish to fight. You know that none of the reincarnations of the cat ever defeated me in battle. Not once. " said the rat taking on human form. The rat human form was that of what seemed to be a 14 year old boy with short spikey silver hair. He had on traditional judo robes on as well. "Now if you do as we command you won't leave Japan with a few broken arms."
Kinnara hesitated as he got into a fighting stance for battle. Kinnara noticed the rat was smirking again. "Stop with the smirking you damn rat."
"I just thought of a way on how to make this fight intresting. If you can defeat me as a human then we will tell you one secret. "said the rat.
"And if I lose."
"You'll see. Dragon, do it." said the rat.
"Yes master," said the dragon bowing. She had taken out a large white fan and fanned it toward Kinnara. The fan absorbed Kinnara cat spirit rendering him to look like a human.
Kinnara looked at himself in the reflection of mirror to his left and then back at the rat. He knew this fight wasn't going to be easy now that he has no feline features. "Come and get me."
"As you wish." smiled the rat wit ha cold expression charging at Kinnara.

Bijin gasped and almost jumped ot of his hiding place to help in whatever way he could in the fight. But he knew he had to think of something to let Kinnara have the upper hand. Then he saw the fan that the dragon was holding. Something creeped into him, a feeling he got when he wanted something. It was sneaking and swift. His steps became silent as he slowly made his way over to the dragon, dodging behind statues until he was in react of the fan. He waited there, waited for his moment to help Kinnara.
