Words spoken by both girls.. words that he already knew in his heart.. but difficult to accept in times like these. Edward gave a shake of his head to Lilianna. He couldn't have possibly survived. He'd been impaled through the chest. Destroying bone and tissue alike... dead within moments as his blood had escaped his body rapidly. However, an ear twitched as something in Atae's words spoke to him. Something he remembered from earlier in his 'before'... something he had wanted to ask Al.
"Al... do you hate me?"
"No brother, I could never hate you!"
Those words gently touching his heart, reminding him of the bond they had shared. As if Alphonse himself had quietly whispered them in his ear. Edward slowly lifted his head again, turning to look at Atae with a newfound hope. Eyes widening as he took in the news that she knew of a kitsu who might know if Alphonse had or might eventually make it here. Considering circumstances of the past... he thought that maybe... his soul might have been gone forever. But perhaps there was still a chance. He didn't really know what to say... so he merely said, "Thanks..." and he then looked to Lili with a faint smile, "Both of you."
A spark of resolution shown in his eyes, a bit of confidence. "Roy might have some answers as well. I'll have to speak with him." Although judging from his tone, he wasn't exactly thrilled with the idea of going to the flame alchemist.

Nahanni bristled nervously as a new vibe came through, an angry one. Ears ducked as she glanced behind her at the source. "I'm sorry." She didn't mean to insult the adult, but apparently had. She just...tended to get caught up in her own thoughts...or lack of, and spaced out others. She tucked her tails and slinked quietly back to her chair. Her tummy felt tight, and she didn't bother peeking at her brother. She just kept her eyes focused on her plate, waiting for everyone arrive to the meal.

((WARNING: I'm on the Wii. so I can't really read any posts that are really long. I'll try to RP for a bit still, but I'll be SLOW. No keybord, have to point the mote and pick buttons to type. x.x))
Atae grinned, glad to see her friend finally perking up again. "I'll ask her about it tonight!"
She then nudged at him and motioned back at Lily's house. "Wanna eat first? They're probably waiting on us."
Endless looked at Ginny in surprise and quickly swallowed. "Spoke to Lily 'bout it earlier, actually. She or we were gonna figure out when I can come over for lessons. Not that I ever really have anything else to do..." He looked sheepish. "One or two of you might need to help, I know she has a lot to do herself." He left off the part about especially now.

Never a big eater, Liliana was more concerned with Edward than eating. She smiled at his thanks then her face turned thoughtful. "Then... you'll be looking for him again, won't you?" Her ears were to her head but not flattened, just... limp.
Another thing flipped in her chest; something she wanted to talk to Edward about. They were alike, in some ways -though Ed was much more experienced in his before and Liliana had a better control of her temper. But Ed remembering his death made Lily not want to burden her friend with something so... what? She did not even know what to label it. Still he was her best friend. His opinion and advice mattered to her. She gave him a soft encouraging nudge, intended to mean that food would be good for him. "Just... don't be gone long when yo go to find him, okay Edward? And let me... us know before you go?"
There was a plea in the tenderness of her green eyes.
Ginny sighed at Nahanni's appology, eyes rolling before she shut them for a moment. Stupid temper!! & Hemi had just warned me too! Trying to help, Hemi stopped eating to purr at his sister & nuzzle her gently. His body language seeming to say 'don't take it so hard. It's just Aunt Ginny' while comforting.
Never good about cleaning up after her temper -and hey! she had tried to curb this one, and with pretty good results she had to admit- Ginny focused on Endless' response. "Oh good. That means afternoons then, if you wan tany chance of Lily's help. I should be good then, until thses get too heavy for me." A head tilt down to her expanded belly. "Only first year stuff though, as I don't want to put them at any risk." Brown eyes met his glowing ones. "Lily's going to have a lot on her mind, I'm sure. Rem & I won't mind helping out." Brown eyes sparkled with what was left unsaid.

A smile and a nod was given to Atae before reaching out to ruffle her headfur. He would eat before he left... he owed them that much atleast for their help and comfort.
Turning to Lilianna, his ears tilted back at her question, "Yeah." But still, he managed a crooked smile, "I will." He wouldn't just up and leave without saying a word. With that, the alchemist reached out a paw and pulled Lilianna into a warm hug. He probably didn't show his care and appreciation to her enough, and now was as good a time as any.
He wanted to say something, but couldn't find the words. He just didn't have the courage that Endless did with such things.

The girl teen simply nodded at her brother while keeping her eyes trained on her plate. It didn't matter who was angry, it was still anger. Though in Ginny's case, the pregnancy wouldn't help with mood swings. Nahanni just kept her mouth shut and waited patiently, if not fidgety, for the others to return. She wanted to get this meal over with.

Atae grinned at having her head ruffled and then did her best to squish them both with her own playful hug after Ed's had gone on for a moment. Then she returned to all fours. "I'll go ahead back. See you in a minute."
Endless nodded. "I figured something like that. And... thanks for the help." Once more, things unsaid were implied.
Right about then Atae came back, and the starry male literally sagged with relief to see she was smiling.

Hemi quirked his head at his sister. Surely she knew any anger from Ginny tonight was mild compared to her usually volitile temper. Daddy had commented once to her in Hemi's hearing that he thought her pregnancy was having a calming effect on her; then Ginny had flung an empty pan at her former professor. Then Atae was there, smiling, and his tails thumped happily behind him. "Welcome back!" The teen fairly sang.
Smiling a bit at the girl's return Ginny touched quickly on a response. "I'm sure Liliana's told you that you're welcome anytime. Goes for lessons too, I'd wager. Food's still warm, Atae." She did not ask whether the others were coming soon or not. They would all know soon enough.
An ear flicked as a wave when Atae left them, but for the moment Liliana was savoring Ed's hug. Her subconscious seemed to be aware how rare that was even if she missed it. "Good." She spoke softly. "Contact us if you need me for anything and... and... we can talk when you get back." Lily was not going to bring up what had been said earlier just yet unless asked. She did not feel it was the time. Also, she had the thought it would be good to be alone with her thoughts first before rushing to speak with anyone about the turmoil of her emotions -things she rarely had paid a second thought to and now swarmed about her like mudwasps.
She did not get up, though she ws ready to as soon as her friend did.

Edward didn't say anything as Atae left... having fallen quiet again as he continued to embrace his best friend. At mention of talking when he get back, he smiled lightly. No.. now was not the time. Even Ed knew that, and was content with waiting. He had things he needed to do... and he was certainly glad to have friends such as Lilianna and the others. It made the world a little less lonely.
After a moment, Edward finally released her and gave her his brightest smile. "I'm starving... can't let that good food go to waste, right?" And this time he actually was hungry, which was emphasized by a growling of his stomach. Aheh. That didn't mean that everything wasn't still bothering him a bit in the back of his mind. But it had become a great deal more tolerable at this point.
Edward then made his way back to the house, making sure that Liliana followed. Arriving in the kitchen, he hopped back onto his seat and proceeded to scarf down the delicious meal that Ginny had so graciously prepaired.

A tilted glance and faint smile was given to Hemi. Though, no eye contact made. No need to worry, just...sensitivity was her thing. Eyes blinked in surprise as the door opened to reveal Atae. And she was smiling....that was a good sign. And soon following was Ed and Lily. The teen sighed as hardly any vibes hit through her, and she quickly glanced down at her plate. This time with intention to actually eat.

The meal was good, and even the generally more dainty Atae gave a burp of appreciation. Quickly followed by a blush.
When they were all finished, Endless reluctantly decided it was time to go. Atae waited somewhat impatiently while Lily got a bag for Endless' books. At least she wouldn't miss saying bye to Ed, stationed near the exterior door like she was.

Liliana ate silently after following Edward in (with a giggle since he was always hungry it seemed), her thoughts and emotions full & churning with the events of the day. Surprisingly perhaps she was not sad or melancholic or even overly excited. It was if in the face of the untamable jumble of feelings inside her she had managed upon the eye fo the storm and was able to be calm. It was something Hemi marveled at to see, for his head was certain she could not be as calm as she was showing despite her body language.
Flipping her mane of red hair over her shoulder Ginny breathed a sigh of relief as everyone ate, offering seconds whenever anyone's plate started to look empty. Especially Ed's; he needed to grow.
After the meal Liliana was not sure if she wanted her friends to go or not. On one paw, she knew she needed time to think without their pressence. On the other, she did not want to be left alone. In the end she smiled as she dipped into a storage room to get a bag for Endless that matched her own then hopped into the library to put the books they had been reading inside.
Before they left, she made sure to give each a hug. If she held on longer to Endless than Atae her brother did not comment, stepping up to hug each himself in pure Hemi fashion. "Come by anytime!"
Ginny gave a wave from the kitchen, not really wanting to waddle far from it just yet. Besides... she had the rest of the family to feed now.

Edward was more than happy to accept seconds, for it was true... he needed to grow! The little kitsu could certainly pack it away. He cheerfully gave his compliments to Ginny, her food was always good. "Could you make stew sometime?" he also asked of her once he'd finished his plate and seemed to be satisfied. The teen not mentioning that stew was his favorite, despite having milk in it. How could something so awful, making something so good anyway? Who knew.
As Endless and Atae seemed to be leaving, Ed also saw them off. Saying his goodbyes to Atae. Although Endless merely got a polite farewell and nothing more. However, once the two left... Edward also told Lilianna that he was going to the Realm HQ to look for Roy, but he would be back afterward. With another hug for Lili, Edward was soon out the door and making his way by foot towards the HQ.

After tiny nibbles of dinner, Nahanni hopped from her seat, flicking an ear in surprise at Atae's burp. She followed behind everyone's steps before lingering at the kitchen doorway. Was everyone leaving? She peered back in the kitchen and meeped when she realized Ginny had stayed behind. Giving a nervous smile, she trotted out of the kitchen and hopped onto a living room chair. So people were leaving. She sat back silently as everyone said their goodbyes and took leave to their own plans.
