He laughed at the idea and nodded with a smile "Yeah...maybe with a few shots of vodka in it, but yeah...Ill get that...heh...then want to go back and watch a few action flicks..." Deon smiled at the woman, happy someone else had a decent taste in movies "Say...ever fly through the air with two guns shooting at someone?" The man was grinning now, obviouslly having a good time talking to the woman.

"Its not like I'm expected ta be anywhere, at least not soon. Aside from the in flight movie i 'aven't really seen many new movies unless one of the guys happened to bring their DvD players. And no i not with two guns, but i did with one durin combat training, kinda got in trouble....but it was worth it." Liz may never see Deon again but it doesn't hurt making friends with someone one minute without worrying what they might look like the next time she runs into them.

"Hmmm...well your not missing much honestly, nothings in that I'm too crazy about right now...sides I usually only go to the movies with a date...and sadly since the divorce, no one wants to go out with a police officer it seems anymore..." The man shrugged slightly before saying "Then again, knowing my luck Ill end up with some psycho b***h again like her...no offense meant by that comment..." He quickly added with a slight chuckle "But yeah, flying through the air with two guns blazing is kinda fun..."

Liz laughed scratching the back of her neck. "None taken, i dun think i've gone on a date since...gosh sophomore, or was it freshman year in high school? Not sure if i'd make much of a date though i have to be off on the next plane tomorrow mornin'." Only after did she even think to wonder how old Deon was. Heck he's already been married and divorced once. But then again he didn't look past his twenties, she'll be gone by tomorrow and it'll make him happy.

"Oooooooohhh..." he said before shaking his head "This...this isn't a date, I'm sorry and Im sure your a wonderful person, and id like to get to know ya better...but after walking in on my X wife and my partner sprawled out on a desk, I really don't feel like loving anyone for abit...maybe once this damn wars over, or you get sent home, we can go on one of those, alright?" He said now smiling at her.

"Naw no no, it actually makes it all the easier to say i stopped datin' since some a** cut off all my flowing locks on 'accident' and forced me to beat someone into a bloody pulp for the first time in my life. Never went as far as datin any of the same sex, always askin what's on your mind and burst out crying any time they think you don't bother listenin to their what their feeling anymore. If i don't come back in a body bag or become re-traumatized by the men in camo uniform i'll be sure to give you a call." She paused for a few seconds before snorting loudly and shaking her head.
"IM sorry i didn't mean to end up sharing each other's life changing plots points. How bout that drink?"

Deon decided to let the womans words just fall into his brain, and not to comment on them. Life was hard...and turlly it was hard for almost everyone, no need to compare and open up healing wounds. At the mention to a drink, he smiled and then nodded "Shure, lets go out and get a drink before your send off."

"Right, hopefully they have happy hour there as well. I have some rather interestin drinking games i could show you. Don't even have to participate if you dun want to and the bets i win certainly help to get a hotel afterwards." You could swear there was a small twinkle in her eye as she grinned. "Best part is if i get hung over i can sleep it off on the flight and wake up peppy as a jay bird."

Deon then smiled and took her hand, before motioning across the street with his other "Lets go off then and hit a bar."

Liz looked down at Deon's hand as he grasped hers. He may be divorced but he still needed company buddy-wise. It got her thinking if he had any other friends to help him through the divorce. Heck a few drinks will do him well, give him a day he won't easily forget.
"Alright then, we don't want to be prancin about lets get in there before they waste all their money on booze!" Liz gripped Deon's hand giving it a good yank dragging him with great speed into the bar. Right then, something in Deon's gut told him that this particular bar would get rowdier than usual tonight.
