Standing and letting Art walk on her own Kishi headed toward the kitchen " Eggos for two then." She might be a teenager but Kishi still had some childish tendencies and a passion for pointless but fun breakfest foods was one of them. there was nothing better than trying to get butter and syrup into each little square.

"YAY" Art shouted before jumping up, falling down, getting back up and making her way out of the room first, despite how pointless it was. She made her way down the hall and to the kitchen then into the cupboard where she pulled out the Syrup at her level.
The waffles and the butter were both in the big white thing, which Art wasn't allowed to touch. Mind you she also wasn't normally allowed in the kitchen either, but Kishi was here, not her mom.
She sat on the tile floor of the kitchen for a moment as reality sank back in once more. Tears filled up in her eyes, so much that she couldn't stop them from falling.

Kishi had just been reaching into the fridge when she noticed the tears. She'd been keeping an eye on art because a toddler and syrup weren't usually a good combination.
Once the tears showed up she closed the door and went to crouch beside Artemis." I know it's not easy but it will be ok i promise? the words did not come lightly from the succubus' mouth. " I know it's scary and sad but it will be ok. My dad goes away a lot and does dangerous things and I worry but he always comes back and Ari will come back for you and then you can tell her all about the fun things we did that she didn't get to do." Hopefully the words would comfort the other girl.

Art looked up at Kishi and sniffed away the mucus attempting to exit her nose, "Mommy will come back fo sure?" She asked the tall Kishi, then she forced a smile, before lifting up the Syrup, somehow she knew that the teen wasn't going to lie to her "Here Kishi."
Art just didn't want to be alone and without her mommy she felt really alone, but Kishi was here, and Kishi said that mommy would be back, so Art believed it.
