Nope, sorry. I'm asking you to prove your point of saying that accepting Jesus with your "insides" has more power than Baptism. I don't remember anything in the Bible saying you must choose him to be saved. I do however hear lots of evidence against humans. "We like sheep have gone astray..." "There is not one righteous, no not one." "In sin my mother concieved me..." "Unless you are more holy than the pharises, you will not enter heaven..." "Be perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect."
It is called Original sin, as in it doesn't matter what age we are, we deserve nothing but punishment and condemnation. So unless you can provide an age of accountability, then baptism is for infants. And unless you can say that you are sinless, then that verse in Matthew applies to all of us, not just what might be. Okay first of all "In sin my mother concieved me..." This doesn't mean all women are sinful. You have to put the quote back into the context of the time in which it was written when women were considered chattel.
Next I'm going to give quotes to refute your statement that you don't remember anything in the Bible saying you must choose Jesus to be saved.
"To all who received him [Jesus], to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12)
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16)
"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)
"Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins." (Acts 2:3
cool "If we have been united with him [Christ] like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin- because anyone who had died has been freed from sin." (Romans 6:5-7)
--Through baptism, the believer illustrates the death of his sinful nature by burying it, then rising to alice a new life in harmony with God's Word.
Yes we do have original sin. But does God want us to be punished and condemmned for eternity because of that? No, He did punish us for it, but he doesn't condemn us. Why would he want his people to suffer? "For God so loved the world" it says. I can't believe if someone loved someone else enough to give them His son that he would want to person to suffer eternally for it.
And your statements about Original sin and punishment and condemnation do not prove the best time to be baptised is when you are young.
If we were evil in God's eyes, why would he allow us to enter Heaven?
