At first I was pronouncing it 'Carl-iz-le' or something like that, but now i'm saying 'Carl-yle' Which I think is right....

It is. If you look it up in a million baby name books, it so is.
Which, by the way, it means "Carl's island".

My sister says Carl-izzle and one of my friends says Carl-ees-lay. And I say it like Carl-eye-l. It's funny when we get talking about the books.

All along I've been saying car-lizzle.

jusssssssssssssst great.
But my sister (who's 2 years older than me) thought his name was pronounced Carlslie. Oh man, she can't read.

But what I really wanna know is how to pronounce Esme.
I may sound stupid, but I wanna know.
it is ezz-mee? ezz-meh? ezz-what?

AHHH, the heck with it.
When I read Eclipse, I'll just say car-lizzle like I always do.
When I re-read my comment above, I automatically pronounced it as car-lizzle, so who cares. I'll just leave it at that.
I know I'm pronouncing it wrong.
