This was an ItaHina oneshot I wrote not too long ago. It was a request from one of my friends on DA--they wanted to see Hinata get bitter over being rejected by Naruto, and then she meets up with Itachi. :3
And ItaHina is right below my OTP, so I was ecstatic to do it. (Mint on DA)

She let out a low hiss, her eyes wide, and then blinking with an inhuman look, and then wide again.
She was a simple girl. A shinobi, and shinobi lived in the night.
But she was an heiress. A “princess” a “head.” Others made sacrifices for her, because she wasn't someone who lived in the darkness—was she a shinobi? Naruto was one, so wouldn't that be her new goal? Her new determination?
Her new hardship?
And he had rejected her feelings, her tie to this sky.
A low, frustrated growl came from her throat, and she reached for the dark, fresh sky above her.

Oh, how she loved this sky. It let her touch the ground.
