Really? I thought I was winning due to the fact you can't back-up what you're saying, and your only defence is that it's true because you somehow have some magical copy of the game that allows you to revive her. lol

But hey, I do have proof, because like I said, in a decade nobody else has given legitimate proof that you can revive Aeris and any screenshots on the net have been examined and proved as photoshop manipulations. You're just another guy who thought he could spread the rumour some more and not have someone who actually knows something about the game crack down on you for it.

If you don't like people disproving you then don't talk crap, it's a simple procedure.

Quote:
Vincent, I have nothing to prove to you or anyone else. If they don't want to believe me, then don't! You act like I am charging people for this "privvie info". So what if they do believe me and can't find it online, what have they lost? A few minutes of their time. Big deal.

No, I'm treating you like you're lying, which hey, you are.

Quote:
Let me make the rest clear right now. I NEVER said that you could save her, I said that there was a version of the game where you could bring her back. Its a pain in the a** to find, and it would probably be more worth it to just buy a damn gameshark and put the code in for the same effect. Truth is, I didn't believe it either. I got that version merely by luck. And it happened. End of story.

Gee-willickers, talk about story covenience. lol You just happened to get a copy of the game that no-one else in the world seemingly has, through luck. No, if you read you'd find out I'd been saying this entire time that you can't revive her, the only way to do so for battle participation is through game-shark.

Quote:
Thats your choice. But, unless you have inspected the whole world over looking for this and haven't found it, don't act like you know that there isn't a copy there. Because, otherwise, you are nothing but some guy trying to put up a losing argument.

Why should I do so? The thousands upon thousands of FF7 fans in the span of a decade have never been able to find nor prove a legitimate way to revive Aeris, and apparently you come along and magically obtain the super copy of FF7 that you can do it in. Funnily enough though, not only would the revival of Aeris destroy the game plot-wise, if it was indeed removed from the game like you seem to be proposing why would they sell previous copies where you can revive her?

Oh wait, I'm sorry, I'm meant to remember that your story is based entirely on luck and convenience.

Quote:
Yes, I am attached to Aeris. So what? Did I cry when I first saw her get killed? Your damn right! Did I feel fire in my veins everytime I saw that black trenchcoat after her death? Thats true too. So what? I'm attached to Aeris, whether anyone likes it or not, she is my favorite character and always will be.

She's my favourite lead female character in the entire FF series, but at least I came to terms with the fact that she's dead, like a door nail for that fact, and I don't try and argue otherwise when I know that for a fact.

Quote:
Am I going to lose sleep because some guy online thinks that he knows everything there is to know about the game that rocked the world over. I don't care! You get it yet? I DON'T CARE! You can spout all the hate remarks you want, you can call me what you like, but the fact is that I don't give a second thought to people who try and tear me down just to feel more confident about themselves.

Then why you in here trying to defend yourself if you don't care? lol Oh wait, that's because I blew your entire credibility out of the water within the span of two posts and you're trying to make yourself look less the fool.

No, I won't leave you alone until you either A. Stop spouting this fantasy you have of reviving Aeris as if it can be done or B. You just admit you're lying. Like I said earlier, this game has been out a decade and people are still spreading rumours like this, not only is it silly that people believe them but it's probably worse that there's people who are still spreading them and seem to believe themselves too. If you post in this guild and state what you say is fact then you had better be ready to defend it when people argue the point, if you can't handle that then don't post.

~sighs~ You just had to have Offspring in your damn profile didn't you. -_-

Here goes.

A. I don't care what you say or think, it isn't going to make my copy disappear, it isn't going to make Aeris go away, it isn't going to cause everybody to suddenly point at me an call me a liar, so...well...you get the idea.

B. Aeris died. I get it. Its not a fantasy. She is dead. I realize this. Some of the fanboydom hasn't, but thats them not me. The sole purpose...as I mentioned in one of the first posts....of bringing her back is solely for battle foundation. Not everybody has the patience to sit around and do battle enough to get her final limit break (Great Gospel) before she dies. As I said, its the same as the normal game, just with the same effect as a gameshark in bringing Aeris back.

C. In order to prove it, I would have to go back to America were my copy is currently placed in the safe care of my brother. I am in South Korea, so there isn't any way for me to get to the files and pull up a screen shot. Although...maybe I could get my brother to do it, but then again he just had a kid. I don't think he would have the time to. ^^()

D. You know what I see from my little perch up here? I see a topic with a simple question in it. A question about Aeris' promise to Cloud. And inside it, I see two people smashing heads together over something as stupid as proving each other wrong. If this were a normal debate, I would love to continue. But, as a Moderator, I can't continue to bash the guildmembers into the ground, nor can I let them do the same to me.

There is a game version out there where you can revive Aeris. Whether it was altered by the person that I bought it from or someone else to bring back the subquest to bring her back, I don't know. Frankly, I don't care. All I know, is I have a dandy three disc game at home with an even dandier little easter egg in it. Whether you want to believe me or not is irrelevent, because I posted it for the people, not just for you. You are one of countless people who have seen this posted on here, and who knows? Eventually someone could come back on here in the near future with a copy of their own and persuade the likes of you to quit flaming those who only wish to correct a simple misconception.

I hate people that spread rumors. As a matter of fact, if you ask any of my friends, I tend to get a little merciless on those that I find to be fake. I don't lie unless its for a very good purpose, and don't spread rumors that I haven't proven to myself by myself. So there really is no point in continuing this little squabble. And I know exactly what is going to be said as soon as I end this. "See? He is just doesn't want to hear anymore cause he knows I was right. He lied and got caught in the act, and now he is trying to end it." Yeah. I know. I've seen it, and lived it all before. I would just like everyone to know, that Dread Lycan is a very hard person to get angry, or agitated, or irate. And nothing that is said here is going to bring me down, or going to change anyones opinion of me. And if it does, then tell them to talk to me about it. I guarantee that they will change their mind if they get to know me. Thats the way I am. So, goodnight, or morning wherever those who are reading this are. I'm out for now.

With all that said, Offspring rocks.

You're a mod' huh? I wouldn't have believed it I hadn't looked at the Guild home page. Things sure have changed since I resigned from Moderating in here.

It is a normal debate, the fact you're a moderator shouldn't and never should change anything unless you intend to abuse your power. There is no flaming taking place, you say something, I disprove it, and it's been going like that. Unless you telling me to go wallow in a corner is a flame? xp

The simple misconception is that you think I believe a word of your story. Your story is far too convenient to be believable, and you're the only person I have ever met in the entire span of FF7 having been released who claims to have this super copy. I am not flaming you, I am not directly insulting you, I am disproving you completely at every point asofar, and seeing as I doubt I'll ever come across another person who claims to have this copy of the game I doubt I'll ever be convinced otherwise. At most I've said you're talking crap and you're a liar, but last time I checked that wasn't a flame. wink

Well yeah I'm thinking that, if I was in your position and just for a moment say you're telling the truth, I'd keep pushing my point until I prove I was right. People usually only give up an argument when they know they're wrong or they're too stubborn to admit it, so maybe it won't change how you feel but I'm sure as hell not going to consider you at all trust-worthy. smile

Yeah, they do. Have fun Moderating.

Okay, so, i was playing the game for the third or fourth time when i realised (during Cloud's dream of Areis telling him where she was going) that she had told him that she would be back after this was all over. And as we all know, Sephiroth has a habit of coming back to life a lot. So, my question is, do you think Aeris could come back if they killed Sephiroth for good? I know I'm probably getting my hopes up for nothing, but i just need your opinions. please respond?

She is back... with cloud, and the rest of the team once they die, and even while they live, she became a part of the lifestream which nourishes all life

Well, actually, calling someone a liar is considered flaming. But, it doesn't really affect me. Whether you find me trust worthy or not doesn't really concern me. I don't press the point because I see no need to. You don't believe me, and there is no chance of you believing me unless I provide proof of it which I don't have in my current location. So, whats to argue about? You call me a liar, I call you stubbornly shortsighted, and it ends. Thats that.

Perhaps, just perhaps, when Squenix will--because it should--rerelease the game for PS3 it will have alternate endings, one of which does not include Aerith's death. Perhaps...

But the story doesnt work without Aeris being dead.

+100 Intelligence points to Soad for stating that.

If only the people who realised that were > in number than the ones who don't.
