Jason Robert Brown. Hands down. I've never heard any composer put such care and emotion into every single song they write than him.

CodeNameCinderella IrethAmandil Stephan Schwartz: Wicked did have to grow on me but now I love it. heart Andrew Lloyd Webber: Evita, Les Miserables, Cats, and most of all, The Phantom of the Opera...there are no words for how his music lifts me up when I'm depressed. ALW love his work except for cats...... granted its a good show but... it did not deserve to be one of the longest running shows on Broadway ( is it still the longenst running? i have no clue) beacuse as far as i'm concerned it has no plot.. ok a little and it is a good show but i don't think it is really work all of the hype and praise people give it. but all the other works fantasitic ^.^! one of my top ten deffentaly! same here.. cats seemed to go on forever.. boring after the first few scenes but andrew lloyd webber is still brilliant.. i love his music heart

Johnathan Larson is juat cool. his songs are so fun. and basically any musical I like I like the composer. xd oh and people were talking about Bernstein he is awsome! the only musical I really know of his is West Side but I hear random stuff of his on the Classical radio station. (is a classical music snob) ^.^

It's interesting to see people's range in taste.

WickedElphie Stephen Schwartz- Because the man gave me (and the world) "Defying Gravity," "As Long As You're Mine," "For Good," and all the other songs of Wicked (All but the Wizard's songs and "Something Bad," but I CAN forgive him!) My voice teacher is trying to introduce me to some of his other works, but no matter what he will always be the man that gave me the songs of Wicked to me. I recently found out that he's written some songs for movies. His most famous songs earned him Oscars with "Colors of the Wind" from Pocahontas and "When You Believe" from The Prince of Egypt.

I'm a sucker for Leonard Bernstein songs. I love the catchy tunes and dancable beats (is dancable even a word?).

How did you just find out. Schwartz won oscars for both. He only wrote the lyrics for Pocahontas, though. He wrote both music and lyrics for Prince of Egypt. He also wrote lyrics for Disney's Hunchback.

Sorry. 2) I'm doing a research paper on Schwartz for a final project.

Big story about that show with the conflict between Fosse and Schwartz when it came to the music and because of their fighting the show is what it is today.
