well I think gaara is kinda asexual, but if he DID fall in love it would DEFIANTLY be with a male, I don't see him going out with anyone too soft (and girls are most of the time either too soft in emotion or too weak strenght-wise). seriously though...

I honestly don't really like yaoi parings (except for one). Sorry to the people who do! I think Gaara would need someone that would actually make him smile and see the brighter part of life. Because, who would want to go through life without smiling much at all? It would be nice to have someone to make you smile. I see Gaara being with someone who's his opposite (coughcoughmaybemecoughcough) because, opposites attract! Well it's hard to explain but I could see something like that (although I would get jealous if he becomes attracted to someone since I'm in love with him!).

I think gaara would be cute with Hinata. They both don't really talk so they would probably understand each other well.

Gaara's soul mate would have a dark past. But she would be super positive and happy and would protect important people to her with her life. Like Naruto, although we know that won't happen sad
I imagine a girl with long black hair and beautiful blue-green eyes.
But if Gaara gets with anyone it will be Matsuri, the slightly younger student he took on before the time skip. He saved her. In Shippuuden she REALLY likes him, even though she was with Temari guarding the boarders at an old castle during his kiddnapping she showed a great deal of concern for him. heart Gaara&Matsruri heart

I'd like to go ahead and disagree with the people who posted that gaara would prefer a strong, tough person. It's my belief that the stronger the person the more they need some one to offset that to be the yin to there yang and such. I would picture Gaara more with somebody who would make him smile and be really cutesy like. My first notion was Sakura but I changed my mind. She's way to filled up with the teenage angsty relationship thing to be Gaara's girl/significant other. I fully support the GaaraXHinata relationship. In my mind her generally gentle nature offsets his brutality. Also she's mostly quite and reserved which I find Gaara would find nice. This is also the reason I don't believe in the Gaara and Naruto (Dont hurt me crying ). Being a quite person myself I find that loud people annoy me and I've been in a situation where even though I can relate to a girl that if she talks all the time about everything and isn't at all reserved that it just gets irritating. There for since all the other best legitimate options are ruled out.....Gaara must be with Hinanta. For a guy it would be Lee but....C'mon the guy freaks me out Gaara's too pretty to be with a guy that looks like that. Besides everyone knows Lee is t.otally obsessed with Gai....in the biblical sense.

Octobre_Flowre Call me crazy, but I like the pairing GaaHina! xd Hinata's so shy, and weak mentally, even though she's grown so much. She still has ways to go, and I could see Gaara being attracted to that. To that little weakness she still has. Like a new urge to protect her, because he doesn't want to see her flame of determination snuffed out heart heart Sakura too~! She's so strong, but she has her moments where she doubts herself, and he could be her support, and she could carry him through his trouble when he needs her the most too!!! ~~ As for the GUYS heart heart heart Ever considered Shino? He could totally spark his interest!! He could be reclusive and just remain distant, while Gaara gets curious. "Why is he avoiding people?....Like how I was...Am..." And all of that romantic junk. Sure, it's a stretch, but it could happen~!~!~!~! twisted I CAN TOTALLY SEE THAT COME ING I AGREE WITH biggrin biggrin

I actually don't feel that gaara should be paired with someone currently on the show. I feel that his ideal soulmate would be a girl, maybe a year younger than him. She would have to have a kind heart. One that does not judge and accepts him for who he is. One that could promise that she would always love him. As for the matter of her being a ninja she would be a healer. Not extremely powerful but powerful enough to take care of those she loves. She should have a cute teasing sense of humor but knows when to be serious. She would also stand up for him no matter what.

Morrigan Nymphalidae _[JellyPie]_ TheBlackPanther Gaara's ideal soulmate is Naruto. razz Rock Lee is just too different from Gaara, and Naruto would be able to understand him better than anyone else could. I agree with you >w< Naruto's been through the same sort of feelings as Gaara
But I must argue that Lee would also be good for Naruto because he could really teach Gaara to be more open with his emotions.
Then again, so could Naruto.
