This is for people who for some reason didn’t buy the dvd or got it but didn’t feel like watching the documentaries, ((the things listed below are not big things just funny and curious facts the creators mentioned))

There were only 2 episodes with documentaries

The blind bandit:

1. apparently toph didn’t learn earthbending from her teacher but when she was around 5 she wondered off from home and found a cave were she found badger moles who she learned from
(the creators never found the right place to put that in the episodes so they just left it out)

2. tophs voice is the same actor who played mang(in the fortune teller episode) *no I didn’t know that already!*

3. this episode was inspired by the great love for wrestling in the creators

4. funny note: the creators wanted to show that one of sokka’s favorite hobbies was shopping

5. apparently toph will stick around thru the whole series ((meaning no going back with parents on season 3))

6. toph was originally meant to be a boy!

the chase:

1. this episode was inspire by lots of western movies the creators watched as kids

2. the drivers of the train in which azula was were her old lady teachers (I think their names were lae and gao)

3. funny note: the part were tai lee trys to block sokka’s chi and hits his head was a joke that the creators wanted to state showing that there was no chi in sokka’s head

4. mako died of cancer (no I didn’t know that either)

i know i was just saying what i thought had happened to him, if it was sad for most people who watched the avatar, and only heard him voice acting, it must of been real sad for those who actually worked with him....

I bought all of the first season DVDs and I need to get the second season DVDs soon. That's cool how Toph learned Earthbending and how Azula's great aunts drove the train. XD Thanks for the facts!

your welcome well my cousin also loves the avatar and she dindt buy it ither she's like "i dont feel like buying it just because of the documentaries because the creators are alsways talking of boring stuff like scene boarding and stuff" so i went thru the trouble watching it all and digging for the few good stuff so here it is.

I'm forcing myself to wait until the box set comes out to buy them. I just wish it didn't take so bloodly long! stressed

Hooray!!

I've been really torn with deciding what to get in the future as far as the DVDs go. I'm thinking of getting the box set since it'll probably come with a few other things but it'll be awhile before that comes out.

Same here. I want the DVD, obviously, but its easier and less expensive to buy the whole season.
