I know I'm insane already, so it doesn't really matter. 3nodding

Kurt Vonnegut had attempted suicide at some point.

Hunter S. Thompson killed himself. (He was 67). His suicide note: "No More Games. No More Bombs. No More Walking. No More Fun. No More Swimming. 67. That is 17 years past 50. 17 more than I needed or wanted. Boring. I am always bitchy. No Fun — for anybody. 67. You are getting Greedy. Act your old age. Relax — This won't hurt"

I'll probably think of more, creative people almost always suffer from some mental ailment, particularly depression.

p.s. @Kirby: I heart Wikipedia, its so handy. If I really need to get reliable information, I'll usually look there first and then compare it with some other random sources. I have yet to notice anything on Wikipedia that is really inaccurate, plus it tells you when an article is missing sources or may have discrepancies in the data. It is a pretty well self-moderated site I think. People take the fact that its open source as definite proof that everything on there is completely made up, and thats kind of stupid. (Yes I know I'm replying to an old post, whatever)

Meh. *shrug*

I hold no vendetta against Wiki, really.

Heh, well some people do. Like just mentioning Wikipedia sets them on a rampage about how inaccurate it is, especially teachers who can barely use a computer anyway.

Side note on stupid teachers: I laugh every time I see one of my teachers, who has a doctorate (I don't know what in), struggling to figure out the DVD player when my class is going to watch a movie. One of the students usually has to go up and help him... its not just him though, all except for a few teachers are able to understand that all they have to do is put the movie in and press the play button. 0_o

I'm in a rant mood today... sweatdrop

xp Its soo true.

Another note on that, my mom who was taking college courses online just recently (had me at like 18-19, so wasn't able to get a college education until now), was unable to figure out how to find the Square Root of a number on my TI-83 calculator, even after I showed her at least 10 times: "You press the 2nd button, then this button, put your number in and voila". scream

Oh and both of my parents always look at me like I am speaking some alien tongue when I try to explain that they should use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer, or Gmail instead of Hotmail and such. Which is weird considering both of them have to use computers a lot of the time for their respective jobs. neutral

Okay, my mother can find her way around an adult's mouth blindfolded, but can't for the life of her find the on button on my computer. xd

And my dad answers the calls for 911, just for a little while, and he has like five computers going at once, and he still can't type faster than 20 wpm. rofl

I just don't know what to do with them...*shakes head*

I, on the other hand, can type at around 130wpm (just an estimate, it might be a lot more) and can find most anything on the internet, and know my computer better than my room. I couldn't find a dust bunny in my room, but I can find one on the computer. xd

Oh, genetics.
