I don't know about you but I really don't like the idea of this show. I thought about this thread after I saw the thin actress thread. It is upsetting that ppl think Marilyn Monroe was fat. This show is supposed to be the "anwser" for all of the celebrities who are considered overweight. I'm really upset about it now because people like herare there.

Her body looks like mine, but I think she's beautiful! She's also a plus sized model! She's probably one of the smallest ones out there. When you look like that and people tell you you're fat something is wrong.

Toccara was on the third season of

America's Next Top ModelRead that and you'll see what I'm talking about. Anyway that show she's going to be on now...they take the celebrities and help them lose weight but ppl on their call them names and sometimes make fun of them. Some very respectable celebs have been on there and let the people that was supposed to be helping them degrade them. I feel like Tocarra is selling out by doing this because she wants to be a plus sized model! You won't see me on that show when I get my chance... The show comes on VH1 if you want to look it up. I just think people want to see these celebs suffer and some people enjoy laughing at "fat people" trying to lose weight. What are your thoughts on this?

I hate to admit it...but this is one of the less than five reality shows I will watch. Yes these celebrities are selling out...just like Paris Hilton made everyone think she is a stupid slut to keep attention on her. All celebrities do that. I admire that some of them want to genuinely lose weight...and yes they are selling out. The trainer on that show berates and belittles them...to the point that it borders on disrespect. Personally I wouldn't put up with that s**t...but they are willing to come to these people for help...and not help themselves or demand respect....and would rather be berated so that they can stay in the spotlight...sure I'd watch. These people of all people know what they are getting into. I don't pity them as much as I would normal people doing the same thing. Besides...there is a psychologist there to deal with the emotional things that might trigger eating. On other weightloss shows that everyday people participate in that almost never happens. Like I said...little pity here... sweatdrop

The very idea fills me with a mixture of loathing and contempt, and I'm not sure which people those feelings are best directed at.

I don't pity them, it pisses me off! Sure you need help, but you have millions of dollars, hire a frickin trainer! So many ppl don't respect them already just because they're big but now it's even worse. I know I for one can't even look at judge Mabeline the same way.

I dont know what my exact feelings are about this show, but I do like the show....half of me feels that they are putting themselves out there TOO much and they are selling out by doing that, but on the other hand I know why they are there and they do have other celebs to talk through the experience with....as you can tell Wendy the snapple lady obviously liked the attention cause she is back again, if that black judge guy really got to her that badly she would have not came back smiling like she did.

P.S...I was really excited to see Phil Margera *father of bam margera* there, cause I watch viva la bam all the time, and I do know that both bam and phils wife would like to see him loose wieght, why not get even more well known doing it. sweatdrop

Some of the stars on there are there just for the publicity. Some of them..it's like why ARE they there?

Don't understand why some of them are doing the show..I guess they are just tired of not being around anymore and think this is the only thing they can do. Though some of them who I feel need to be on and they feel they need to be on do belong. Like that guy from that MTV show. He doesn't understand anything. eek He thinks it's unhealthy to lose 80 pounds in one year..and you should only lose 10 a year. o.O; I lost ten pounds this week!

Personally I'm getting really sick of the media trying to push people into wanting to be thinner and thinner. Boys and girls who are overweight will look at this and their minds will be even more ******** up. "Oh s**t, I'm fat! No one will like me! I'm disgusting!" evil

I've had enough problems as a young girl with this myself and at that time there was preciously little media indoctrination going on like this. It seems as if society is getting more a**l about losing weight all the time. You can't turn the tv on or there's some show about losing weight, some commercial or some celebrity idiot show. It's really pissing me off.

I want to see gorgeously heavy male and female celebs who do not have to change their appearance to be fullfilled! But hey, I'm just a dreamer..

I probably won't see it just because I never really liked reality shows. Seen 1 or 2 eps of the first Celebrity Fit things & aside from laughing at the stuff that Baldwin bro was doing(was that Alec or Steven? I forget now) I wasn't all that into it. Now Gary Busey is in this one & his style of humor is once again up my alley. Assuming he'll act like he does in most of his other TV appearances.
