That's why you befriend someone with alot of cds and a scanner. Or just google image the cd, that's how I get all the cover arts for my music files. Its kind of annoying, but then again, I bought all 4 editions of the downward spiral, now thats annoying . . .

Eh, it happens. I think some legal downloading services like iTunes or something actually give you album art with the CD. Not sure though, as I'm pretty anti-mac til you can open one up and mess with the insides without killing it. But I do like it when bands, or record labels, realize that the best way to fight piracy is in the packaging. Make the CD case look cool or do something special, and they will have to get the real version to enjoy the full effect. For example, the Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny Special Edition Soundtrack comes in a cool box that looks like a book with the tarot cards from the movie and a replica P.O.D. Tool's 10,000 days had special lenses built in to enhance their ever present surreal art. And with NIN's new CD, Year Zero, the CD itself is touch sensitive, it appears black in the cold, but when it is warm, or you put your finger on it for a bit, it turns an off white colour and reveals extra graphics on the disk. Plus the packaging for the disk is pretty as well. Granted, I downloaded all three of these CDs before they were released, but that's mostly to make sure that were worth spending money on and to be a snob to my elitist friends that think their bigger fans than me because they have everything the day it comes out. It's always fun to ******** with elitist.

Cyberpunks listen to Vangelis. ... or, so I'd assume.
Personally, I love his stuff. It's like... ambient electro-jazz. The kind of thing you can look out over the dismal urban landscape and recite a deep internal monologue to.

I'm including some possible genres here, but if I had a single opinion, it'd be that cyberpunks are defined by what they read/watch, not but what they listen to, as would a Goth or rivethead. I suppose they'd listen to the game stuff as Cyber Goth's, rivehteads and ravers.
Some example genres:
EBM: The choice of Cyber Goths. Pounding electronica with melodic trancey elements in its modern format.
Front 242 Faderhead Funker Vogt Code 64
Industrial: The rivethead and Goth subcultures love this stuff.
Skinny Puppy Throbbing Gristle Portion Control Angelspit

I've been listening to a lot of Flaming Lips recently. Especially their more experimental albums. Zaireeka is an AMAZING album...check it out, find a copy and try it out even. Even though it's a decade old, it's still the future.

Chylde_Orchid I just recently got Billy Idol's Cyberpunk Album... Found it for like $4 in an FYE... Ha...HA...HAHAHA... I'm of the mindset that it was rushed ahead of its time; society was ready for the books, but the music...that needed a few more years. A lot of people would disagree with me, though. Did you like it?

Did you like it? I enjoyed it. after I listened to it all the way through I looked at the copyright date again to reassure myself it was that old... I did get some funny looks from the clerk when I came to check out with Grappler Baki (The old, original anime), Otep, and Billy Idol...
