Quote: now i havent heard LoG's new album, everyone says its worse than their earlier stuff, so i may not like them as much once i hear their new stuff, but for now... i liked LoG's new cd but then again i havent heard too much of their old stuff to say whether it was better or worse.

MegaTherion777 i acknowledge that right. all im gonna say is that it isnt metal. which isn't the same thing as saying it sucks. as for slayer sounding similar to when they started...have you listened to god hates us all??? it is WAY different than show no mercy or reign in blood. they have changed - and its arguable whether the change was for the best.
Hmmm...no, I can't say I have, so perhaps that warrants a listen before I continue making my point. Slayer is kinda middling in my list of favored bands...Reign in Blood is seminal album which everyone who considers him or herself a metalhead should listen to, but past that, they're really "take it or leave it" to me.

reign in blood was great thrash. south of heaven was good for melodic-yet-haunting stuff, and seasons in the abyss struck a good balance between those two. those are their 3 best albums, imo

german thrash and speed is pretty good...though im more familiar with european black metal than thrash.
though kreator is ******** awesome
