I think it makes alot of sense. The first 2 Suikoden's are notorious for their sloppy (or I guess in actuality rushed) translation, and those connections are pretty sound. I mean, like resident evil and horror, Suikoden is basically a nod to a random pile of fantasy stuff, so it isn't far fetched at all. It's actually a pretty cool reference too.

Just a random fact about Suikogaiden: Young Viki and Joker was there.
Lol, but after looking at Genshu, I want him in another Suikoden O_..O I love samurai themed characters like Georg did in SV.
