To be honest, my head hurts and I didn't read what others posted before me... so sorry if I'm just repeating. (haha)
I think it's mainly because almost all the people in Japan are Asian. It wouldn't surprise me if a majority of men there want western women because of the fact they're just different.
I actually asked a few friends I use to have in Japan that question a long time ago and each said it just all depends on the guy. (Like if a guy here likes Asian women more than Western women).

(I think Miyavi wearing USA pants pretty much shows that well...xD) I think he just wears whatever he wants though lol xD That's true. But compared to any other country, he wears USA or USA color-affiliated clothing excessively. aybe he likes red white and blue '-'? Or maybe he likes to be patriotic for other countries and slightly mocking patriotism in the process since he really doesn't care XD? You know Miyavi is a monkey right? rofl xD Yes, this is all true. Kita Cloud Kayla Noelle Well what I think he means is that he finds Japanese girls pretty. Like he is naturally drawn to them in that way . Everyone has their preferences but doesn't mean everyone gets them. lol Sometimes you end up with the opp osite of what you were looking for. You shouldn't be hard on him . He is just a guy after all. xp I wasn't trying to be hard on him, I swear. Believe me, if I was trying to be rude, I'd go about it a different way. I just thought it was ironic how he said one thing and then turned around to say the opposite in the next sentence. xd hmm k surprised ~ well I know how some girls get pissy about things but either way it doesn't matter to me 3nodding

I say it just depends on the person. But I do agree that maybe a majority of Japanese men prefer American women. Or just anything different. How would you feel if your only option everyday was brown hair/brown eyes and skinny. I guess most just want some sort of variety eventually. XD

You know how they say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder," and each culture has their own idea of what is considered beautiful? Well, I think the Japanese idea of beauty has changed. Due to Hollywood movies and American singers, they now think of beauty as how Americans look. They like long noses and such.

I think maybe you're generalizing just a bit too much. This might be caused by watching a little too many movies. Caucasians, just like Asians, come with many different style facial features. There are some that have round faces, others that have oval, still others that have sharp and deep features. It just depends on the person and the genes from the parents. 3nodding

Are you saying that Japanese aren't known for having long noses or are you saying they aren't known for having short noses? (O.o") Lol, anyway... I had to go so I posted too quickly and didn't explain well. Forget the long noses! That was just the first thing that came to mind. xd I just meant that to them many Americans look beautiful because that is what beauty is defined as in their culture. And now some random thoughts that might help confuse you all even more. sweatdrop People that are half Japanese and half American are often considered very beautiful it seems like. Many Japanese womens' dream is to marry an American. (at least where I live now)
