It's just a movie. But it seems it was partly based on the Bell Witch which I remember reading about when I was a kid.

You mean the one that cuts runic letters into your flesh and possesses you by night to prefore ritualistic murders for her since, mind you, she doesn't have a body?

Theirs two movies on that tired bull s**t.
Watch them if your interested, it shows some nice metaphysic nomenclature but horrible witts of discussion.

Mitsh It's just a movie. But it seems it was partly based on the Bell Witch which I remember reading about when I was a kid. Yes, the bell witch haunted a man until the day he died. The witch was just a voice though that had a big gripe with him no one knew why. But the voice could be heard by anyone. And many people heard it making it so famous.
