I've come up with somewhat of a good idea to get kiki prices down. Boycott! The reason they went up in the first place is because people horde and sell them higher, thus, creating an imbalance and causing price rise. It isn't supply and demand at work. It's greed and manipulation.

If you cut off their income from them, they'll be forced to lower prices.

And now people are gonna say I'm crazy and that it's a part of life. From 20k to 50k in like 1-2 days is not normal!

I'm guessing the 50k came from T3h Vending Guild's new topic. But I saw most around 35k... Still, it's exorbitant. They came out only in March, but I see they'll be going the way of the June 2004 items...
I have one, but I don't find it as adorable as most people. Its eyes are creepy... eek

The Kiki kitty plushie, one of the items in the March 2005 letter (the other being the Roro robo puppy), is one of the two handheld and official Gaia 'pets'. They're not alive or anything... But they can be formed into different poses.

I'm tired of seeing people whine about inflation, it is a part of any economy whether you like it or not.

And as far as Economics is concerned, that's not inflation. Inflation would be seeing the Pimpin' Yellow Shirt in stores for 12k (which I just bought for 8k (was that a good deal?)) and coming back later and finding it 15k... Supply and demand... but yeah, we should boycot them. domokun

I'd like an OMG, but they're a little too spendy for my pocket. sweatdrop I'd also like a nightmare headband, but that's also very much out of my price range. xd *is poor*

The thing is, this price jumping is more like extortion than inflation. It's not a simple supply and demand thing anymore. The Haves know that they can charge whatever they want for their item because of all the desperate Have-nots. It's greed, pure and simple.

The Haves know that they can charge whatever they want for their item because of all the desperate Have-nots. It's greed, pure and simple. Yes, it is greed. But if there's a single one of us who uses the vend or the exchange that doesn't have greed/desire as motivation for using said places they're probably kidding themselves . I use the vend to sate my greed for items, it's my income. And if I can come happenstance by a have-not that will pay me 37k for an item I have, I'll sell it to them. No body makes people pay these prices for these items. If you want to boycott these vendors who sell items for high prices, go for it. In the real world I can go to Wal-Mart and pay 2 bucks for a box of Ice cream sandwiches, or I can go to Dorothy Lane market and pay six bucks for the same thing. I choose to go to Wal-Mart. On Gaia, you can go to the Exchange and get your Kiki for 20k, or you can go to the vend and pay 37k. Or you can donate $2.50 to the site.
