Dear Hangout Guild,
It's been fun, guys. There've been alot of good times. I'm not sure what else to say. I came to Gaia finding an escape from the real world. I found a place where no one had to see my face or hear my voice and I could be debonair and charismatic and a natural leader. I found a place where I could make mistakes without any of the real life consequences, but I also found a places where the victories weren't that sweet. It's safe to say I found myself in the fantasy, which prepared for reality... but that's where this leads: the real world.
Gaia has lost its splendor. There's no more community, no more life. Places like this where to users DO work to create a sense of community are hardly sought out anymore. The old generation has mostly left, and the new generations never came to fill the gap.
I haven't been able to do anything for this guild for quite some time, and if a new generation is going to fill my place, then that place needs to be open. I wish the best of luck to The Hangout Guild and to all its members and endeavors. I have found my place in the real world, and I want Gaia to remain a place where young people can prepare for the real world. I want it to be that place of magic where people can let go of their insecurities and realize the charisma and power that they hold inside themselves. I remember my first days on Gaia, my bewilderment. I remember being brought in Dalm's old 5000 page contest: my first home on Gaia. I remember founding this guild. I remember all the good times, I remember all the tumults. To me, there is something real in this place, a reality that we give it. Here, every person has power: the power that everyone feels when they're anonymous. Sometimes that power is used for hatred, like flamers, but for others, like me, it is a place to realize that other people can love you and what you represent with your mind. I spent my time on Gaia setting up places safe from the ravages of the internet, and I hope others can continue that. I hope they can continue to create the magic that others created for me when I first arrived. It would be a beautiful thing to see that again one day.
With all my Love, Ethen S. Darkke, the Blessed Blade

I've never heard someone describe Gaia so well. I'm glad that you've "found your place in the world" now Blade, I'm still some way from that I think. But good luck with everything in the future ^_^ -Kyle
