I am also an Airman First Class and I love CAP. I have been two one Encampment and 4 Bivouacs and they are awesome. I hope CAP will help me get into the Air Force Academy.

Its in the 52-16, if you have been in JROTC for a certain period of time you can get accelerated promotions. Otherwise you are correct it is every two months or 56 days technically.
Good luck with the Academy, and don't forget to apply for Annapolis and West Point as well. CAP is a great asset to your academy applications. I would suggest definitely getting at least Mitchell, but high ranking Senior NCO will still help, thats all I had when I applied. I'm a SM now, 1st LT, but I was a C/Lt Col in the end.
