I heard the version where you have to be at camp, in the last bathroom/sink station thing on the left.
You say "bloody mary my friend I've come back for you" in a sing-song voice, looking in the mirror, and you see her come out of the shadows in the stall, and if you turn round she gets you.
The only way to save yourself is to get a friend to turn on the light.
Apparently there was a mass-murderer on the loose near an all-girls camp, and Mary and her best friend went to the bathroom. While Mary was in the stall, her friend left because she thought she heard something outside. Mary was freaked out and didn't open the stall until she heard what she thought were her friends footsteps. Of course they were the murderers, and she was brutally murdered, screaming for her friend to help her. Apparently she 'knows the friend heard' and died mega-ultra pissed off at her friend.
Yeah.
