Crimson eyes rolled as his black ears fell against his head, tail calmly swaying behind him as a serene, warm smile trailed across his maw. The lioness was indeed stubborn, too stubborn for her own good he was afraid- but he was rather fond of that.
As she snarled and turned away, 'Duzi was relentless and, if anything, he was asking to be repremanded and prove to her that wasn't anywhere near throwing in the towel.
" 'right then," he chuckled softly, rising up to his paws and quickly trotting aside her, keeping a good and comfortable distance between them. "Is this how yo' deal wi' things? Co'mon. You bloody know! Deny it all you want but at least I know what I feel- but it don' need words nor do I have ta point it out because whethe' or not you admit it, you feel it too."
Running ahead a few steps, Duzi turned about and halted behind her as his blood red orbs seemed to stare into her soul- not with anger, but with kindness and a gentleness that one would not expect the least to abide within such eyes. His tail hung behidn him as his head lowered to level his eyes with hers.
"If ya hate me so much, Princess, then strike."
His chest puffed out slightly, being willingly exposed as his eyes continued to keep looking the lioness within the eyes and never diverting. There was something that confirmed that she was feeling the same way but having her admit it would take more effort and wa something that was to be expected. Perhaps it seemed crazy- or an opportunity for her to actually sink her claws into him and rip out his heart.
But he wasn't afraid nor feared whatever she chose.
He had never felt such emotions for anyone like this before. And sometimes love seemed to drive even the wildest of hearts into doing the unthinkable.
"Just rip out my 'eart or send me to ta' dogs."

Rin became annoyed beyond all possible belief as the male followed her, though with good personal space between them. She thanked him subconsciously for that, but admitted nothing else beyond that. He was still in her presence, and she wanted nothing more than to see him gone from her life.
Maybe if he followed her long enough for her to find her father...
"What?" she blurted, stopping before she ran into him. Her thoughts had distracted her long enough for her to have missed most of what he had said and even more of what he had done--like stopped in front of her and looked her straight in the eyes. She folded her ears back, if in nothing but surprise. Her tail lashed once, and she sat herself down rather harshly, her front claws kneading the dirt angrily.
Her mind collecting what he had said, she gaped slightly at him. It wasn't every day that someone walked up to her and openly gave her permission for her to hit them.
The fiery female had to admit, she really did want to hit him. If only a slight blow that didn't even hurt. It was the energy that came from being in quick motion like that, causing damage to something or someone. She felt it chasing random creatures around, and she wondered vaguely what it was like in a real fight, not just a play fight with her siblings or some random thing that she captured and tortured until its nerves were surely fried.
Narrowing her eyes, her thoughts left the thrill and went deeper into thought. What if it was a trick? He was bigger than her, and more for just the reason that he was a male. He could easily overtake her or pin her down. Perhaps he secretly wanted to taste lion meat? She had heard of cannibals, but never really thought they existed. Was she scared, then?
Shaking her head, she huffed out a great breath and rose to her paws, shouldering past him.
"You aren't worth my time."

A trick?
Hardly.
His brows furrowed, a small frown curling upon his maw as the lioness seemed as if fear and hesiation were leading her to passon the opportunity. Or perhaps she thought he would blindsight her and bring her into submission. No- that's wasn't his apporach and definately not as ruthless as he'd let himself become consumed within.
"What? Can't take a blokes word? Just thinkin' it's a bunch of blag, Princess?" He announced, calm although a bit confused as to why she wouldn't of taken an opportunity to strike.
Duzi's black striped tail swayed casually behind him as he watched her drift away for several moments but found it futile to let himself sit idle and watch her walk away.
Sighing, he padded after her with a haste in his steps. Oh, he knew all too well that he was in for a beating or a rude awakening of some sort. "Com' on now. I ain't no manky, flippant bloke! And don't think I can't see the anger that abides wid'in your eyes." Trotting faster and darting in front of her only to stall her once again, Duzi shook his black, tapered mane and leveled his crimson orbs once again with those of the lioness.
"Don' think I'm blind to realize that you're hidin' feelings because you're unsure of what ta' say. But I'll tell ya' somethin'- I feel it too." His heart began to race as his tail twitched behind him. What was this? He knew what it was but he was also one to deny it and disprove of such emotion but it was so strong- it was hard to ever believe that it wasn't real. He wouldn't say it for he was stubborn and had to let such things sink within his mind and gather its own strength but at least recognizing its presence was one step into learning how to make sense of it all.
He was a hopeless romantic yet love never once found itself into his life.
Until now.
"But if you really loathe, despise and wanna take away my life- then give ya'self a bit of pleasure." Duzi stuck out his chest once again, unafraid of the consequences and trying to prove a point that would, most likely be overlooked. But he didn't care.

Rin growled, half to herself and half towards him. He was really started to bother her, although it was mostly only because he was being so persistant. She was used to others giving her what she wanted and staying clear of her when she snapped at them. But Duzi... he didn't seem like he'd ever give up, not in a million years.
Thank goodness she didn't live for a million years.
"No, I can't," she said sharply, lifting her nose into the air. "I don't trust rogues." Which was completely true.
After she had shouldered past him, she had thought that she was rid of him for good. But her fur bristled alarmingly as she heard his voice coming up behind her, then soon noticed his dark pelt out of the corner of her eye. Damn. "I'd call you blind if you couldn't see my anger," she spat, thinking him an idiot. What lion didn't know that snarling and snapping meant another was mad?
"Feel what?" she growled, genuinely confused. It was true, for a moment she had no idea what he was talking about. Then her stomach turned and she wondered if that's what he had mentioned.
Narrowing her eyes again, she lashed her tail and glared at him. "Why don't you just get out of my way? I'm tired of you sticking around like this. Go away. I'm not going to hit you because you are honestly not worth my time. Now move on and let me go home where I can get some peace and quiet." She shouldered past him again, an angry look on her face. If she had felt anything for him before, it was all gone now. There was one thing she hated most out of anything, and that was someone who was annoyingly persistant.
Someone like him.

The frown upon his maw spread farther as he furrowed his brows and wrinkled his muzzle. She was certainly a fiery one and had a bit of an attitude but it seemed that most females did. But the strange curiosity and fascination that had drew him to persistantly understand her still coursed within his veins- that desire and attraction still holding him by the heart and stirring up these strange, strange feelings within him.
As she shouldered past him, Duzi swiveled and pivoted to watch as she was storming off elsewhere. As his ears fell against his skull, the crimson and black striped male let a warm smile creep across his maw.
Even as she was walking away, there was a feeling that they would meet again. He didn't know how or when but, something, some feeling abiding within his heart and the back of his mind told him that they would see each other again. But certainly there was something better to call her than 'Princess'. She had a name, right?
Duzi furrowed his brows.
"At least can I know your name, miss?" He soothingly spoke, elevating his voice just enough so she could hear him with a sincere and gentle tone.

Finally!
The female felt as if she would be finally rid of the male. As she shouldered past him a second time, she didn't hear anything as she had before. There was no voice calling her back, catching up to her. There was no striped lion coming up from the side.
A sigh of relief was just about to pass her lips as suddenly she heard his voice again. The sigh instead turned into a groan of frustration as her ears fell back against her skull in irritation. Her tail lashed, and she mumbled to herself that she should just continue on, just ignore him and rid herself of his presence. But there was something in the way that he spoke that forced her to turn around, to look at him one last time.
Her eyes narrowed, and for a moment she contemplated not giving it to him. She felt she should torture him, as he had subconsciously tortured her. Duzi would strain under the thought of never knowing her name and would slowly go insane over it. But then, she thought, he wouldn't be quite him if he were insane.
"Rin," she replied, barely loud enough for him to hear. Then she turned about and left him.
