So other than an appealing coat color and manners, he did seem to have something going for him. He could read people accurately enough. Laini was a bit embarrassed by her responses but she tried not to show it. "I actually am quite out of suggestions." Of course the "if you like" threw her quite off-guard. She didn't know he if realized it but he sort of pushing the decision of whether or not he should go onto her. She was the one supposed to "give permission" for him to leave on his merry way. "If you feel the need to return to your family, it's all right by me."
Laini, however, did not move. In truth, she had no reason to move anywhere: no where she needed to be, no place in mind, nothing that she felt the desire to pursue. It'd be a waste of energy to do otherwise. She might end up sitting there all night doing nothing. But it wouldn't be the first time she had remainded stationary for the lack of something else to do.
