Sann giggled wildly, enjoying herself as she sent a powerful slash of wind towards the dragoon, blowing him back and a tad off his feet. She danced about him in a teasing way.
Leraje quickly caught his footing then charged again at the seemingly distracted spirit. This time he avoided a completely straight-forward approach and instead, he went with a feint attack.

It was almost a connection! Rivière almost hit the elusive spirit of the wind, only to miss the damn thing and end up pulling its master through and into an almost stumble.
Leraje turned on his heel, quickly prepping his trusted lance for another strike. Damn spirit, so fast... He thought for a moment, watching the spirit dance around before it shot a gust of wind at him. He tensed up slightly, raising his free gauntlet arm to block most of it from his face.
The spirit giggled. He charged, pushing forth with his might in hopes of hitting the dancing green.

He cursed again, plainly missing the wind spirit. As forcefuly as he pushed his weapon towards his opponent, he withdrew it just as hard with the exact force.
"Here it comes..." a blast of wind hit him, but he stood his ground that time. Leraje held a sturdy stance, grinning slightly as he stabbed forth again, aiming at where he thought the spirit would be at.

Leraje's attack ended in failure as he attacked way too soon. He pulled back quickly and held his stance again, feeling the pressure of the wind gaining on him.
"That's it..." his fingers loosened on Rivière, then tightened once again. The unicorn began chanting an unknown language. Rivière began to glow a light blue aura and quickly changed into a mercury-like substance, moving to both of Leraje's wrists. The glow soon faded, only to be replaced by jagged three-pronged katars.
Leraje bent his knees slightly, holding one arm infront of him like a veil, and one arm held behind him, rigid. He charged forth at Sann, quickly bringing the katar from the back to the front in a power attack.

It was a sad thing really, for where he thought the spirit was, she was not. A powerful mini-twister shot at him from the side, throwing him off balance from his attack. He spun once in the air before landing on all fours. A string of almost inaudible curses could be heard from the undead.
Leraje began to chant again, and soon Rivière began to rush into one hand as he slowly stood up. This time, the weapon formed a single two-handed sword which he promptly charged the spirit with. Leaping up, and bringing the blade down at the giggling sprite.

Was he too slow? The spirit was expecting him, slipped out of the way, and blew a soft breeze at his face in a way to provoke him.
Leraje grew angry, and he ripped apart Rivière, splitting it into two blades. His powerful legs bent down, then pushed up. Launching the dragoon into the air again. Instead of crashing down on his target, he threw both of the blades at Sann, though a glowing string of thread seemed to be attached to both of them...

The blades missed the giggling Sann, who was quite puzzled at first, only to yelp as the Leraje's arms seem... crossed. He had pulled the threads connected to the blades taut, causing them to crash together and into their target.
Sann dissipated into thin air...
"... Hm...?" He landed gracefully, collecting the split Rivière, forming it back to it's original spear-like form.
The spirit, once again, appeared infront of the dragoon, nearly startling the poor guy.
"You've proven yourself worthy, I grant you the symbol of my power." The spirit smiled, showing that she really enjoyed herself as she offered Leraje his prize. The unicorn nodded, accepting it.
The spirit disappeared... leaving the dragoon standing there alone with the Symbol of Wind. He let a breath of air out, as if he held it in there throughout the whole fight. "Fun, what should I do next...?" He cracked his neck and headed out.

Kaine approached the entrance of the temple, his multiple tails slightly twitching as he scanned the area. He was there for one thing, to take grasp of the power said to be given to only the strongest of challengers. As his torn body dragged across the floor he tried paying no mind to the faintly lit candles that lined each and every wall.
Walking into the large inner chamber proved fairly easy, but upon entering this chamber the door shut closed. This left the room dark, something his eyes were more used to. There was still enough light for anyone to see, the runes across the wall shone bright and gave light for the temple guardian to gaze from.
Sann lay there before him, staring into his cold eyes. She disappeared suddenly with a gust of wind then gently appeared behind him.
"If you want my treasure, there shall be a test ... Come on, fox boy ..play with me?"
Upon hearing this Kaine let out a low growl and lunged at Sann with his full body.

Kaine hit the cold stone floor just a few inches from Sann, leaving a small indent in the now cracked stone tiles.
"Poor thing... missed? "
He was a bit stunned to have actually pounded that hard into the stone floor. As the wind spirit giggled and swept past him Kaine quickly got up and found his footing once more. As wind pounded at him from various directions Kaine loosened up his fists and let his claws peek out this time. His stance hardened up to try and reject the wind as he quickly lunged at Sann once more.

Sann was thrown down with Kaine's lunge. It was not enough to slam her into the stone, but enough to confuse her this time. As Sann fluttered up again she stared into Kaine's cold eyes once more, this time with a look of amusement.
"You .. want this?" she said, pulling out the the symbol of wind from her robes. As she gave a small bow she pinged it Kaine, hitting his head.
"Cheer up Fox, learn to smile. You've beaten me today, but don't think you're done!"
As Sann dissipated with the wind around her Kaine scratched the top of his head. He then bent down and picked up his prize with a look of confusion in his eyes. This confusion was not from missing this time ... it was in wonder. Before thinking too much into it he muttered to himself about annoying pixies and wandered back out of the temple to his next destination.

Anger propelled Rosel from the forest where she had been abandoned and she found herself wandering through a small town surrounding a decrepit temple. She passed a bar and was slightly irritated that there wasn't any fights to distract her. She wanted to kick something, to let her chaos lash out and melt this dull place. But she was hungry. And something emenated from the temple, just enough lingering force to suggest a fight had taken place there. She headed for it. Maybe if she had paid more attention to this place when she was home she'd know where she was.
Cracks ran up and down the pillars and she wondered why anyone would want to fight in such an enclosed space. An alter with fresh flowers stood tall against the far wall and Rosel moved toward it. Maybe some idiot had left some offering she could eat.
"Have you come to challenge me for my symbol, moon child?" A sweet voice rang out through the temple and Rosel turned to see a rather unimposing fairy materialize from the column next to her.
"Moon child?" Is that what they called her kind here? "I don't know about that, but I really am in the mood for a challenge." Her anger had not dissipated yet, and an outlet seemed fine. The spirit fairy nodded slowly, but Rosel was far from in the mood for pleasantries. Hand shooting forward, she hissed 'lightning' and let it tingle through her fingers and shoot towards her new opponent.

The lighting struck and the fairy hissed shortly in pain and held up her hand. "That is enough. You have much strength in you, young one, and much anger." She straightened. "However, you have proven yourself to me. Take my symbol and my blessing." She nodded again and a small pebble dropped in front of Rosel.
She looked at it for a moment and back up to the fairy. "Your blessing? Why would I need a fairy's blessing?" Irritation crept into her voice.
The fairy looked surprised and affronted. "I am no mere fairy, I am the Wind Goddess Sann, child. I bless those who challenge me and have the strength to defeat me."
Rosel couldn't help but snort as she swiped the pebble off the ground. Indeed, it had the mark of the wind engraved into it. "I do not need your, or anyone else's, blessing." She looked out from under the veil of her hair.
Irritation turned to anger in the goddess's eyes and she lowered her head as well. "Then go, foolish moon-girl, to the volcano to the north. There is a god there who you may find more of a challenge." Anticipation of another battle led Rosel back out the temple entrance. Before she reached the steps, she heard the goddess's voice whisper from the shadows. "And may he defeat you and put you in your place."
