*sigh* as little as I respect the actions and additude of tarja, and s much as I love the real creative power of this band, I just have not been able to get into them since end of an era. God I feel dirty saying that.

Divinus Cruor but.. Dark Passion Play kicked rear. Nightwish w/o Tarja = YaY! Tarja w/o Nightwish = fAiL! i must say that i am hearing nightwish and i prefer nightwish with tarja but its still an awesome band without her but when u hear the new songs of tarja well they r boring its nice that someone revived this thread

yah, I bought the solo album she just made on good faith, but I am not to impressed with that either. I guess they were only good together.

Nightwish is great! I have every album. I liked them with Tarja, and I still like them without her. Dark Passion Play was a good album, and their new singer (forgot her name) is good too. No, it's not the same as old Nightwish. But that's okay. It's still good. smile

I'm still torn as to whether i like nightwish with annette... she has a nice voice, but to me its too "poppy" and doesnt fit in as well as i'd hoped. The instrumental and the lyrics are still just as great as they always were tho. I saw them live last year and it was awesome, but the poppyness came though because she looked uncomfortable trying to headbang and give devil horns. I'm hoping she's eased into it a bit now, this was about a year ago now so she was still somewhat fresh to the genre and the band. I did get tuomas's towel tho at that concert with his makeup on it xp

Heya, just found out my guild acctually had a nightwish forum, sweet^^ I liked Nightwish with Tarja, but honestly, now that she isn't there and they focus more on alot of their music, it kind of has a way more awesome beat. Also the new singer is doing a pretty good job with the Nightwish legacy I think^^

Nightwish is among the first metal bands I ever listened to.
I love them, I simply love them. Or at least the old Nightwish.
Can you believe it? I was on their last gig with Tarja, and everything seemed just fine. Next mornings news are that they kicked Tarja...
