...A baby is born about three weeks early? My wife just had our baby last night, but her original due date was March 9th. Would Amanda (My wife) and the baby have to stay in the hospital for a while? If so, how long? Anymore information would be thankful.
Thank you!

Anything starting at 36 weeks is considered full term, so nothing bad should happen. The lungs and all systems should be developed just fine and it shouldn't require any additional care. ^^

My own baby was three weeks early and he was absolutely fine, though a bit jaundiced. But then, a lot of babies have a bit of jaundice when they're born. Everything else was in perfect working order 3nodding After only two days our doctor let us take Richard home. She made sure that he was eating well and that his innards were processing everything correctly and we got to go home. There had been a possibility of Richard having to stay one more night but we scraped out of that.
One thing to think about at this time of year is that the last few weeks in the womb are spent building up extra fats and so the baby will get cold easier having been born early. Also, if the baby is a boy and you've decided to have him circumcised, the doctor will most likely delay the circumcission for a couple of weeks. But as long as everything is in good working order then the two of them shouldn't have to stay at the hospital very long 3nodding

Really, it depends on the baby and what the doctor has told you. Here, my hospital determined babies full term at 37 weeks. I myself, was a month premature, but I was not hospitalized for any complications.
My nephew was only a couple week early and had complications and a hospital stay, but that was due to complications in my sister's pregnancy where her son did not develop as scheduled. It was a scary few weeks, but he is a big, healthy boy!
They both should be ok though and congrats!!

Congrats! My second baby was born at 36.5 weeks. She was always very healthy, just always seemed a bit small. And rather orange xd
The only thing is that the physical milestones like crawling and walking take a bit longer.
