It's fine, but don't start following that religion. I try to learn about other religions too.....BTW: Wicca spells don't work. Before I joined this guild and became a Cathloic(sp) I was messing around with my friends and got relly sick from a spell. DOn't try them!

Your not supposed to hate anyone!

Yes your not suppose to hate but there will always be hate in the world. Even in the church, most christian's will hate or disagree with another religion(like islam for example) and talk trash a hate the whole group over beliefs. You can't say it's not true.

I say go for it (just be on your Ps and Qs when it comes to your faith)! Feel free to pass along some information to us as you gain some more info. Also check out http://dare2share.org They compare Wicca to what the Bible says; so it will be good to compare!

Good point, but imagine someone calling Christianity wrong. We wouldn't like that, would we?

I'll shut up now, for the sake of keeping the peace. heart

Well... if you believe in Christ, He says that He is the only way to God. Its true that we don't know anything for sure, but that is part of the test that God is putting us through. He wants to see if we can trust in Him even if we can't know of His existence for certain. Fortunately there is a lot of evidence for us to believe in Christ if we choose to. That being said Christians can't concede that another religion may be the way to God, because the only way to God is through Christ Jesus.

Honestly the only evidence you need is faith, God never wanted us to prove he's real. If someone dosn't have faith, all the proof in the world couldn't turn someone into a Christian. Just my opinion though.

^-^ No problem with it. I've been researching Satanism as of late, and I've noticed that its main ideal (Self-serve, always) is something many Christian use in their daily life even as they trash Satanism. It's also helped me to try to be so self-serving in my own life.

In short, it does no harm to learn about other religions; in fact, people from these religions will give you more respect, allowing you and through you Christ more power in their lives. It can also help you to become more of a Christian, as you may be forced to go back to your bible time and time again to refute the tenets of them.

flinny's take:

everyone should learn as much as they possibly can. esp when it comes to matters of faith. people should be open minded and before just accepting one faith and deciding to abide by it alone I think eveyone should find out what is out there and learn the history of religion in general.
After having information from all sides of the table you will be able to make a solid and intelligent choice, backed up by faith on what you believe.

It is not nice when people say that Chrsitians are wrong, but they do all the time. that does not make it right. But I do not just believe that JC is Lord of everything, I know without doubt that He is God. I know it with my heart. people will always argue but one must know the truth for one's self.

Hi,

A lot of times it is easy to get confused. So if you hear anything in that guild that confuses you I would be sure to talk to my pastor or someone.

I requested to join a guild for Pagans/Wicca. Not because I want to be one, but becase I wanted to learn more about these religions. Don't hate me.

Is it wrong to be interested in learning about religions other than my own?

Uh-Oh XP Which one did you join? We've got alot of uber-fluff bunny guilds around here. If you want some serious answers from people who know what their talking about. Join the PFRG "The Pagan Fluffy Rehibilitation Guild". It has people from all different religions discussing the actual from the fiction.

I'd say if your truly interesting in "Learning" and DON'T want to be converted or taught faulse ways . . . Start there. They won't treat you any different, and they'll give you a good basis to compare from.

I really don't think you guys should be saying that other religions are wrong... neutral

Heck, we don't know if our religion is right. It's just what we believe in, strongly.

But I would just appreciate it if no one else said that other religions are wrong.

But I can't make you do anything.

I see nothing wrong with saying someone else's religion is wrong. If you think about it, everyone who is Christian thinks I'm wrong, weather they say it or not.

So I see nothing wrong with it.
