Yeah; and I don't mean to discourage you or anything, but it doesn't matter however well the story is written, or how much thought and development went into the characters. Mary Sues in fandom are shot down on principle -- no one likes to see original characters take a leading role, especially paired up with a main character; especially such a predominant character such as Lex.
Have you ever thought about editing it so you could pass it off as original? You'd probably get a much better reception if it weren't Smallville; it seems silly, but it's true.

Thanks Nuclear. xd I'll keep in mind everything you guys told me you all have made me feel so much better about my fanfics on Lex. Well... I do write my own original stories but I don't like to post them on the net.

Heh. I'm downright paranoid about posting my work -- I'm my own worst critic. I might have something good, but I pick it to bits before it ever gets posted.

Hee! Indeed we do. I actually have several drabbles in the works -- but I doubt they'll ever see the light of day. I do better with original work; Pap and I have some co-written stuff on fanfiction that did pretty well back in the day; not that ff.net is a place of high society. I just can't seem to break into fandom -- I'm too paranoid about my characterizations. xd

I was just wondering if anyone was interested in a fanfic I'm working on at the moment. It's a Lois-centric futurefic with Lois, Chloe, Bruce and Clark as focus characters (although Clark doesn't enter until chapter eleven); Jimmy, Lana, Lex and Martha also feature. I ask because I don't think most people in this guild are all that interested in Lois, or in the pairings that will probably come out of it - some Lois/Bruce, some Clois, some implied Chimmy and really minor implied Chlark.
Biters? If yes, I'll post it. I have eleven chapters I can post right now if you'll promise to be nice.

If it's good then i will read it. I mean I was working on one while ago... I mean it was based around Chloe and the first time that she and Clark met... never finished it though....its around here in the guild somewhere.

lol. Then due to overwhelming response I guess I'll post it. What's the worst that can happen? You all hate it and I can never show my face here again? neutral
I'll make a new thread anyway, instead of cluttering up this one.
