At red_moon_wolfess- I agree, people have taken the craze too far,but i did not create this thread about obsessing over the books, this is strickly too discuss the forthcomming of the 7th and final book. And on another note, many of the people with the scarves and shirts, arent fans of the books, but of the horrble knockoff movies.

But,your opinion of the 7th book i agree about.

I think some of you have forgotten that Snape took an unbreakable oath that said he had to kill Dumbledore if Draco Malfoy failed. That means that if Snape didn't kill Dumbledore, he would die. I think, based on this, that it's pretty clear that Snape really did kill Dumbledore. He could still be good though; Dumbledore could have been asking Snape to do it when he said "please." Dumbledore would be the type to sacrifice himself for a student, even one that's headed down the wrong path.

Agreed! Very eloquent.

...or maybe I just really agree with that.

I also think that, if Snape truly was good, he would have sacrificed himself rather than killing Dumbledore, no matter what Dumbledore's orders might have been.

There was the phoenix though, from the tomb, unless that was Faux. It could be possible that Dumbledore will come back as a phoenix, and that maybe there'll be a way eventually of getting Sirius out, or maybe Harry will join him in the big empty void thingy.

I am also exctied about the 7th book finally coming out. I have been reading this series ever since I was in the eigth grade. lol. 6 years!! Now it is here. calm down. But there is one bad thing about the book, there will eventually be a crappy movie to go along with it.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows??

Sounds kind of interesting.
I'm in love with the series. I'm a massive Harry Potter freak. I will just never ever ever let anyone know.

I heard somewhere this is the last Harry Potter book. I'm not sure if it's true, but it is still going to be interesting! I've always loved Harry Potter. I've read every book, and they were all a true work of art.

Dumbledore and Sirius are definitely dead. JKR has said so. STOP SPECULATING ON THEM BEING ALIVE scream

I hate the Harry is a Horcrux theory, but many people believe it...

Honestly though, I just don't think it's fair for Harry to die. If he dies, I might cry...which would be the first time ever I've cried over a book >.< Harry doesn't deserve to die, he needs a chance for a normal life.

Although to be honest, I'm not sure if he'd be able to live not being famous. He's "The Great Harry Potter". He annoys me SO much!!!

I love the books though. But...as an aside...is it only me who thinks the writing style has been getting steadily worse the past few books? HBP in my opinion was written the same as a fanfic. A bad fanfic.

Many people seem to think Harry is going to die... But I mean, that'd suck, wouldn't it? neutral The last great death to end this great series...

I personally wonder what'll happen to Draco Malfoy... I mean, he couldn't kill Dumbledore, so obviously he's not completely evil... just a coward, maybe? xd I truly do feel sorry for him, because I think this whole Death-Eater wannabe has just been ingrained in him since he was a child by his father. He might not truly want to be one in his heart of hearts, you know? sad Perhaps he'll die in the seventh book? If he rebels and refuses to serve the Dark Lord? What if he turns out to help Harry? Draco is one interesting character! biggrin

Actually, I do not think that Dumbledore is dead. I think that Snape faked killing him to place Dumbledore into hiding. Why else wouldn't he try to kill Harry as well?

I don't think Snape knew Harry was on the balcony with Dumbledore. Wasn't Harry hiding behind the invisibility cloak? Maybe I'm wrong and should go read that back, but that's just my input...

You heard correctly. Ever since the first one came out, Jo herself has said she was writing seven books - one for each year of Hogwarts.

7 books. That's the key! According to my nerd code of Harry Potter, Harry is going to die trying to kill Voldemort(sp?). And here's why: Harry dropped out of school in the 6th book, correct? There were 7 years of wizarding school, but Harry only goes to 6! So basically I think Voldemort will either kill Harry, they'll kill each other, or some semi-main character will come out of the blue after Harry's dead to kill Voldemort. If it's the last one, most likely the character will be Longbottom. The only thing that was different between him and Harry was that Voldemort chose Harry.

And about the "Sirius and Dumbledore are dead and can't help Harry anymore", you're half right. They are dead. That doesn't mean they still can't help him though. Ghost are all over the place in these books, like in 4 where they came out of Voldemort's wand. Plus all the ghosts in the school.

In conclusion, either the above will be pretty close to the book's results, or I'm completely and totally wrong and deserve to be beat with a stick. THANK YOU!

Now I've read through all of the theories put up here. Some of them believeable and some are not. Me myself dislike the theory of Harry being the Horcrux. It just doesn't seem logical to me.

But I wondered if anyone have noticed this:
In the sixth book, just before Harry and Dumbledore leaves the school, he meets Trelawney who tells him about the night when Dumbledore came to see her about her application for the Divination post. Remember that she said that Snape had interrupted? Well, how could she, she doesn't remember the prophecy at all. So i believe that Snape did hear the whole prophecy, but didn't tell Voldemort everything. Also, if Wormtail hadn't been the Secret Keeper for the Potters, Voldemort wouldn't have found them. So it was only a coincidence that Voldemort marked Harry.
