How do you make spells and curses. Me and a freind tried to create a "curse" which would take the effect of making the victim have an extra-ordinary itch that covers their whole body for 3-5 minutes and then stop. How to you get the spell to "kick-off"?

Make them up.

Of course, I'm a chaos magician, so don't do what I do. Also, welcome to the guild, please post in the intro thread.

It is against my ideals to teach dangerous magick to people who are new to magck.

But I will explain how one learns how to make spells.
Most magick users wont make any "new" spells but tweak and mold old ones. But for some spell making is the level after mastering a certain magick.
There is no practical book on exactly how to make spells becuase often magick users dont understand enough about the magick they use to make spells.
Originaly spells where only done by those who made them and it wasnt till spells where givin to people who didnt understand how to use them that spell making and "spell using" where divided.

I hope my mindless rant helps you.

I personally feel that, for the sake of safety, you should probably not try to create anything you wouldn't want to have happen to you, else it's just badness waiting to happen. In fact, I avoid trying for anything with a "bad" effect at all, because if you don't know what you're doing you might only invoke something harmful, which in most cases WAY outweighs what you actually intended.

If you're new to spellcrafting, start with something small that's a blessing. Get your feet wet with something whose probable worst unintended effect would be that nothing happens.

You want to know how to create spell to screw someone over? I'll tell you how.
1. Go to Home Depot
2. Get a 2x4 and have it cut so its about two feet.
3. Go to the dude who your having the problems with.
4. Beat the crap out of him.
(this is me being sarcastic...kinda)

Ok, I feel that if you have that much of a beef with someone that you feel you need to curse him, you should instead place magic aside and use your hands. Using magic to curse people is kind of a dumb thing to do. Using magic should be your last resort.
Why? Because if you curse someone, you may find he either has A.) good protection or counter magic against such things B.) Powerful friends who may come after you or C.) You could screw up and send the curse to someone else.

So, if you really want to make this guy suffer with itchiness or something like that, then go buy some itching powder and stick it in his clothing somehow. That way its a lot less troublesome and hilarious for you and other people to watch.

i never write horrible curses or spells, the few of mine that sometimes work sometimes backfire. It sucks. I made one where the victim has pins and needles for a decent amount of time. I tried it on multiple people, as i did for many other simple spells. I felt them that night.

Curses can sometimes be dangerous for both the victim and the sorcerer. When I do it, it's best to tie knots in a thick string and store it away in a special box in the darkness, such as your closet or somewhere safe. I don't know, I barley do them.

Well, spells you create like anything else. My spells in particular usually involve the use of symbolic sigils or pictures, a candle or some form of banishment/sending, and my handy dandy pentacle necklace because I ******** love that thing.

Here is, what I'd say is a little "How to" of my brand of spell-writing:

1-Have an intent. (This includes a motive and a target: Lets say you want to earn yourself some money)

2-Decide what you want to do to acheive this motive. (A job, odd jobs, finding it out on the street. Lets pick odd jobs)

3-Decide on your desired mode of spellcasting. (Candle magick, poppet magick, Sachels, sigils etc. Lets do poppet)

4- Based on how you work poppet magick, write up a good procedure for the spell. (Patchouli and anything green work WONDERS when used for money spells, so lets use green felt and patchouli oil. Also, maybe add a magnet to "attract" money and one two attract a job- the two will come together because money and jobs go together just perfectly. On that note, put them in seperately, the money one after the job one because obviously, money comes after you get the job. Also, if you can spare, put a dollar in.)

5: Gather all you need: (Have everything you need before hand, and have your incantations memorized should you have one. For this example, you need a needle, thread, green felt, stuffing, patchouli oil, two tiny magnets, and a dollar)

6: Do the work you have to do while keeping your intent in mind. (Don't ever loose the intent you want, otherwise the spell wont work. If it helps, keep an image in your mind of counting cash you pull out of your pocket, or chant "Get me a job". For this spell, you'd cut out a poppet in an afore chosen shape [in your shape this time] twice so you can sew them together. Before you close the poppet though, stuff it and put in the dollar and the two magnets one after the other, envisioning your intent. Close the poppet and anoint with patchouli oil. Raise energy and charge this poppet until you feel its adequate.)

7: Dispose of the leftovers as necesary and just go about your life. (The poppet should be kept either in a place close to you or in a dark place in your room, because once its disitigrated or dismantled, the effects are over. you can undo this spell when you want by taking the poppet apart.)

So, yesh, that's my brand of spell casting. To be honest, curse making isnt that difficult, its the same as spell making, but with a lot more malace.
