Infact, it even had hit the lioness as a little odd when she had received the answer, and a slightly awry face had made it's way through the stoic wall she usually held up, before finally giving a nice short laugh when he had finally dawned on it himself.
Giving a soft nod, a small wry grin kept on her maw, "I think I finally understood after I thought about it for a moment, but I agree; being out out of a pride makes you think hard about the position you have in life. I've always been independant, I wasn't raised in such a highly active family; I actually wish I knew them a bit more." she told him honestly. In all honestly, she was a bit surprised as to how open she was that day - and thusly blamed it on the fact that she had some company that could be appreciated.

He was glad she laughed and didn't condemn him or anything, he was sure that some of the pride would have.
"I never had to be independant, my mother took us from here when the plague came, I was only a very young cub when that happened but she looked after us all so well. When she died we all got separated and I came back here. Maybe that is why I like to be with another, I enjoy the company of others, even if there isn't any talking, its is just nice to have another there." He paused and then looked at her. "It's always an eye opener when you meet someone who had such a different upbringing to you." Vuvi always seemed to think so much maybe too much.

"It really is, you don't know how well you had it until someone comes along and explains something you never even thought about that had happened to them." she answered truthfully, nodding her head in agreement as she mulled over that information.
"The more I think about it, the more I wish I had known more lions and lionesses so I could absorb more histories and pasts, so that I could have stories to pass down generations." she mused outloud, staring off a little in her small homespace, before sobering up a little, the stoic frown on her maw again, not from change of mood, but just from the routine familiarism it had.

"Plan on having your own cubs one day then?" It slipped out. He wasn't about to offer himself for her though if she ever asked he wouldn't say no. He was a 'typical male' in that sense. His weakness was most definitely pretty girls and he had done well with not slipping up until that point.
He didn't know what else to say because if he said sorry for asking it would look as if he had just offered so he kept his mouth shut and just waited for her answer.

She really didn't expect that question, really. Sitting there just slightly flabbergasted, she wasn't exactly sure what to say just yet. With her maw curved up more in a thoughtful frown, she wanted the right answer, and so after a minute or two of thinking,
"One day, in the future. I'm still spry." she stated, the grin creeping on her maw again. "Something to look forward to - but first, I may venture out of my little.." she finished shortly, lifting a paw to sweep view her home, noting that she had an adventurous bone in her body.

Glad she didn't seem to take the question badly he smiled.
"Not enough adventure here then?" He chuckled. "Its different out there. Very different." He didn't like it when they first left the desert it hurt his paws, more then most would expect. The terrain was so different as was the food, there was more of it to begin with.

"Unless I must have missed some, care to show me where you see it?" she joshed lightly to the other, looking behind her momentarily, as if to mock lightly by attempting to find said 'adventure' outside of her den, before looking back to him.
But, now it was her turn to be curious. "But it shows that you did not fall upon too much terrible ill while you were out there." She murred, as she looked him over once more. "I suppose it's just the child in me who wants to see what's outside of my haven. I think if I satiated my inner cub, I would feel better about my life as of now, and be ready to go ahead."
And the more she thought about it, the more it felt like such a wonderful idea, really.

He nodded.
"Yes I see what you mean but then to me this is an adventure as it is a place I was in a long time ago." He couldn't help but chuckle though even if it was only a little one.
"There is illness out there and worse then that. Lions don't like Firekins, maybe it was because both me and my mother were black we weren't looked down on as much but they don't take kindly to our pride, or didn't anyway. It is a huge space out there. If you go be careful you never know what might happen." He smiled at her wondering what it would have been like to have grown up in the desert.

Feline eyebrows rose high in both curiousity and slight shock when the male had told her those tidbits of golden information, she set him a look before looking out onto the Savannah, her 'home' before a curt frown appeared on her maw, her long red tail flickered idly by her side as she thought about it. "I suppose someone who hasn't been here for awhile could consider it an adventure - depends on the eye of the beholder." she started, an ear flickering as she did.
"Although, it does not surprise me as much as I would have believed about the outsiders who do not trust our pride. I can safely say some of the ethics that have carried over since the dawn of our pride's time have been..." a pause was added to find a good word.. "brutal, if be."

His tail flicked as he listened to what she said. An adventure was nothing short of what he was hoping to have and some flirting along the way didn't seem to be a bad idea. The outside world had obviously messed with his mind a little.
"Brutal is such a harsh word." He stated it and then let a smirk crawl onto his face. "Maybe if some opened their eyes more they would realise the world is more brutal then our ethics." He wasn't meaning anyone in particular as he spoke and hoped that she would not believe it was aimed at her because that was far from the truth. Brutal was a harsh word but yet it had been tamed for some.

Lifting her eyes to the sky, she noticed that the sun had reached the other side of the sky for the day, and normally it had meant that the day would be cooler, but not so much - as the sun had done it's work and kept the sands hot. Turning back to her acquiantance, she flickered an ear, and hummed softly.
"I guess everyone has their vices then - no matter where you're from or what you do." she figured, rolling her shoulders. "But what I do know if you wish to make it into the mainlands of our pride, it would be the bext time now o make your way. It's still a fair walk and the sun will set soon - it won't be as hot." finished her statement, as she smiled to him, showing that she was being truely helpful.

His ears flicked towards her and he nodded.
"Maybe you are right but today isn't the day I wish to reach the main pride however I do wish to explore and it would probably be a good day to do so." He looked out at the sand and back at the female.
"I wish to meet you again some day." He nodded his goodbye and smiled before turning to wander off. He wanted to look around though he had already decided where he was going to end up living. It seemed nice here on the borders.
