I've recently thought of something. Is Count... Olaf's first name? or it it his title? Count would be an unusual first name so I believe it's a title but what it Olaf's first name??

That would be pretty interesting.. I think it's his title personally, even though we never really found out who his parents were.
(Speaking of names, did you know it's illegal to name your child Doctor?)

I'd say that 'Olaf' is his first name. Usually when one has a title, it's used in lieu of a last name (eg. Queen Elizabeth, not Queen Windsor). So, yeah, Olaf is a more common first name than 'Count'. As to how he became a Count... It either hails from a more noble past or it's self-appointed. The latter of the two seems more likely, he's not exactly upper-class and he has no obvious wealth.

I believe his first name is Olaf. Because when he is shown in the VFD records, his name is O. Everybody's code name is the first letter of their first name.

But in the unafichal auto didnt it say that some one (villanius) changed hisname to O? so im wondering if its not something that he put on himself

I wonder if Olaf has siblings, and who they are (or were)... If we can find any suggestion of family ties in the books, that could lead to not only his last name, but also further investigation of the relations between the former members of VFD.
