I was teacher's quorum president like, four years ago. I liked it. I hope I get to be the Priests Quorum president when I'm older.

I don't think my ward had a Laurel President when I was there. On the other hand, there were only two Laurels period. heh.

Well, it seems as though my calling is merely a consolation prize. I have been rejected admission to BYU. Yay me.

phoenix_echo Well, it seems as though my calling is merely a consolation prize. I have been rejected admission to BYU. Yay me. *GIMME A I-DIDN'T-WANNA-GO-THERE-ANYWAY- gonk -SUCKERS FIVE!* I didn't get in back in the day when I applied and I had been on a mission AND had had mostly straight As. But Oh, my little Sister ended up GRADUATING from there and my little brother HAS been going there till now going on a mission and he gets to go back. So, yeah... I feel your pain. But then I got over it and I am glad things turned out this way, actually because otherwise a bunch of OTHER awesome things could not have happened and so, yeah, I would not trade it. God's got his reasons, even for stuff that seems crappy. mrgreen

I'm used to being in a small town TN environment where there are little to no LDS, so, I'm just going to go to MTSU up in the boro. Woot.

I live in Utah, barely a half-hour drive from BYU and I still think it would be a culture shock for ME to go there.
