I'm going to do a crossplay, and I have to make my face look more masculine >.< Do you have any tips on how I should make up my face?
if I don't wear make up, I still look like a girl a lot...

Not to be rude... (really i'm not) But it would really help if you had a pic of you up... it's one of those 'to each his own' kinda deal when it comes to that... a different way to get the look depending on the way their face looks.

I know that for me all i have to do is wear a shirt/sweater big enough to hide my figure, boy pants (but i always wear those), wear a scarf to hide my chin and pull my hair cept for my straight ironed bangs (chin length) into a pony tail and hide that under the scarf and I look like a pretty boy... like i'm one of those cute 16 year old mid puberty boys... even though i'm actually an 18 year old girl....

^.^ My little sisters friends were checking me out once and started asking her about her older bother and my sister gave em a look and said "That's my sister..." they looked emberrased and inched away... ^.^

some things to remember about men.

Men have thicker eyebrows. if you pluck your eyebrows then you are going to need to pencil in some thicker eyebrows most like.

Men have a thicker jawline that a woman most of the time. Use a brown acceptable with your skin and a 'blue' (use LIGHTLY or you only look like you were bruised) use it to define your jawline and anywhere where you want the appearance of a five 0'clock shadow. Also perhaps find a middle color that can be used to help blend that dark to the light. I practice this step because it is really a pushing point.

Men usually have smaller lips. (only twice have I found a guy with TRULY girly lips XD one of those guys is my brother XD hehehe) if you have the nice feminin lips take some time and with a theater makeup that matches your skin completly (if not theater that just somehting that MATCHES) and look closely at the picture of who you are crossplaying (if it's anime just use a picture of a guy from a magazine m'kay?) try to match the shape of those purdy man lips. it took me a while to be able to do this properly if you don't get it right the first time keep trying. Also boys lips usually aren't so pink as a female's, get a more brown light layer of somehting over them.

unfortunelty for me I've never learned how to hide my VERY girly eyes xd BUT that doesn't mean you can't experiment a little. most of this stuff I've learned by just experimenting. ^^ good luck!

also if you put up a picture of yourself ^^; it WOULD be easier to point out what you could do to look more masculine. BUT those tips should help none the less.

BTW work in a well lit area. XD the effects can be.......bad, if you work in a dimly lit area. blaugh

When crossplaying, I've sometimes found that it helps to do some shading under your natural cheek bones if you need to look like a thinner, longer-faced man. It does help a lot to thicken your eyebrows. Ace-bandaging down your breasts and using shoulder pads will work very well to give you a manlier shape. If the character has facial hair, either go with the kind that you spirit gum to your face (and fill in gaps with eyebrow pencil) or use a mascara brush and desired color mascara (it will take some practice but looks alot more like real hair than penciled facial hair). If using your real hair (or even with some wigs) the facial hair options could be used to create the illusion of a more masculine hairline (sideburns, receding hairline, etc.) For a longer face, shade in the sides of your face, nearest to your hairline, with an eyeshadow pad wand thingy (as long as it won't be highly noticable Ex:with a long wig on you cannot see the sides of the face as well anyway.) Hope I was of some assistance. Good luck!! blaugh

i should say the hair/ wig, make-up . . . and the facial expressions. if you "master" them all u should look like a boy . . . and use always black eye shadows rofl
