With no car you can still do a version of the random thing my boyfriend and I do -it'd just end up more like the tram idea that someone suggested earlier...pick a bus route or train line, and then say -right, we're getting off in six stops time, and finding the first....*insert whatever you might like to visit*. You get the idea.

Yay! We get endless fun doing that sort of thing!! One time we stumbled upon a karaoke party that an amateur singing group were having and ended up busting out all our most embarrassing dance moves while everyone else just stood aaround. It was very entertaining -for us at least, I pity everyone else...
I have endless fun doing that with the bus/Metro system with just my friends...lol smile
