Don Diego - Here! Have a gift!
Kisoni Another perfect hair day! Violet tossed her head a little as she preened in front of her mirror. While the orange kitsusagi was generally rather level headed, she had her faults like any other; right now, her major sin was staring her straight in the face. "Hmm.. a little bit of leave-in moisturiser," She spoke softly to herself as she ran the product through her pristine white mane. Her tails moved in a soft sway behind her and she leaned over a little further to push the button on the radio near by.
A special kareoke cd her human had made and she'd taken control began to play. Violet hummed along with the opening to track 5, her favorite song. Maybe it wasn't something most people would admit to, but she knew this song was definatly her image song; even if it was disney.
"Girl, we've got work to do Pass me the paint and glue Perfect isn't easy But... it's.... meeeeeee...." Violet stretched the last note out with a wink at herself in the mirror as she fixed her earrings in her ears. Wonderful. A light laugh escaped her lips before she continued on, catching up to the music,
"... the world is watching One does what one must Some minor adjustments, darling Not for my vanity But for humanity..." Dark Fire Angel Blooooood.
Insane giggles followed the kit's mental mantra, which he repeated over and over again as he trotted into the house, carrying what seemed to be... a bloodied rat in his maw which he tossed time and time into the air, only to catch it swiftly with his maw again.
It was all a game after all, and though his, "His eyes are tainted~~" he sang as he padded along, "Staggered is his breath! Oh god, he's addicted~~" again he tossed the corpse in the air, catching it neatly again, "He's addicted to death~~" giggles once more rang through the eair as he sunk his fangs deeper into the meat, almost seeming refraining from ripping into it; it was not for him to enjoy, it was meant to be a present!
... He'd bathed in the creature's blood enough whilst hunting it anyhow, as showed by the fact his front paws were marred by dark red, as were his bangs, face and clothes. The rat was Vi's to enjoy! Not Diego's. Pausing, the kit tsked loudly, suddenly frowning; there were times he just hated being such a gentleman. He truly did... he after all, being as magnificant as he was, as great, as handsome... as perfect as he was, he needed to gift others with his perfectness!
Mind you, it was doubtless these 'others' would ran for the hills had they seen this kit come up to them, for Diego's way of expressing love and affection ran from warped to sick, passing through relatively morbid.
His ears twitched as he heard Violet's voice in the distance, and letting out a childish squeak, the vampire ran forth, however, upon entering the room, he'd managed to trip over his own cloack, eliciting a startled squeak, which in turn forced the bloodied animal he'd been carrying out of his maw.... flying into the air, spreading not only blood, but other things around the room before it landed, posibly over Violet's perfect pelt, "Hooooooola~~!" came the happy hummed word as the kit slid to a hault against the older female's body, smiling up at her fangily.
A pause went by before he licked his maw, "I'll clean your pelt up for you!" there was hungry gleam in his eyes as he smirked, however, as he tried to stand up, he sliped on the blood he'd no doubt spread around him, stumbling down again and thus ruining the whole sinistre air about him, "Ow..." Kisoni "Each little step a pose See how the breeding shows Sometimes it's too much for even me But when all the world says, "Yes" Then who am I to say "Nnuuaaaggghh?!"
Her voice reached an awe inspiring crescendo then as the girl hopped up and away from the flecks of blood that not only splattered her own pelt, but the cosmebeneath the stream, carefully resoaking all of her fur.
If diego followed now she cared not, she just wanted to to get her fur clean again. After two shampoo and rinse cycles she reinspected the 'damaged' areas and sighed with releif; seeing no stain, Violet allowed herself to sink down onto the floor of the tub and lay there with the water making a steady massage on her back. Dark Fire Angel And follow he did, of course, for though his mentality was slightly warped, it was as innocent as any kit's might've been, "Arg?" his head tilted to one side as the female stormed off, and once left alone, he allowed himself to imitate her, yelling out the sole word, followed by a curse in spanish.
Frowning, he decided that he had no idea why Violet had yelled; he didn't feel any diferent after having done so himself, and thus decided that perhaps, just perhaps, Violet was half crazy too! Just like him! The notion was greatly embraced, and soon enough Diego snatched up his hat, placed it back on his head and skidded out of the room, following after the older female, "Esperaaaaaa~~" of course she wasn't going to wait up... but Diego's mind never so much as phantomed that.
Instead, he ran inside the bathroom, the by now dried up blood clinging to his pelt and clothes as he leaned over the edge of the tub, only to find his lady to have drowned!
Oh dear, were non vampires able to breathe under water? The kit racked his brain for information, but coming upon no real answer, he decided the most gentlemanly thing to do would be to jump and SAVE poor Violet from a no doubt, horrible, horrible drowning death. Thus... of course, the vampire jumped into the tub, leaning in towards the female's face with his own maw, peering over as he tried to decide if now was a good moment to bite her neck or if he could breathe into her maw.
Decisions decisions!
A wicke giggle was released as he licked his blood soaked maw and leaned in even further. Kisoni One of violet's eyes snapped open, giving him a blood curdling stare. If he'd just jumped into the tub with her that would have been fine, but seeing him watching her like that....
Quite certain of what was going through the young kit's half-crazed mind, her head lifted quickly to look directly at him. Since english didn't seem to work that well... where, here it went, "No! Lo que usted est pensando; no! Y si usted me muerde, el pequeo seor, as que me ayuda que limpiar el piso con su asno peludo azul!"
After a long pause she sighed, and returned to english. "That said, get in this tub. You need a good washing up too... but get those clothes off first! Geeze, those things reek! Just because you're un-dead doesnt' mean you have to smell like a corpse." Dark Fire Angel Ears twitched at the familliar words, however, the overall meaning of the phrase escaped him; all what made sense was 'don't bite' and something about cleaning. Idly however, he wondered what a donkey had to with it all, "Are donkey's blue?" the kit's head tilted, innocence ringing through his words as he licked his maw again, tongue passing over his fangs before he squeaked and slid intot he water, having not taken off his clothes, needless to say.
Er... oops?
His eyes darted about, mouth opening in a clear though silent 'oooooooh' before he nodded, and whilst sitting in the tub, disclothed himself, offering the garments at her with a distinctly innocent smile, "Aqui tienes!" he chirped happily as he dropped the bloodied messy clothes in front of her in the water.
Then, of course, he proceeded to explore his new wet surroundings!
So much to explore... and though water wasn't particularly fire, or anything similar, it was still fun in it's own way; it was, after all, wet. Fire could never be wet, his mind reasoned, and thus, water held that advantage over Diego's loved 'fun fires', "Can we use soap? I like soap!" how or why he'd decided that.... was no doubt something Violet better not ask, for knowing the kit's insanity, the answer would've been quite strange, "And I'm still hungry..." these later few words were said with a pout, his maw opening to display his fangs again.
Rat blood would just not do. Kisoni "Well we'll have to find you another rat her soon enough." Violet sighed. She decided not to answer the question about donkeys, after all it wasn't nice of her to attempt using foul language around him, anyway.
After he'd gotten the clothes off and out of the tub, Violet gathered some shampoo up and began to lather his fur with it. The comment about soap was a little odd, and u nfortunatly for her, her curiosity was too great, "Why do you like soap?"
The amount of blood from one litte rat was positively astonishing. Somehow Diego had managed to get himself covered with so much that it looked almost like he'd taken out a whole colony of the vermin. "if you weren't dead already, i'd be worried at how sick these would make you." Dark Fire Angel A slight whine marred his expression, the kit's ear flopping back in what could've been defined as a most pityful action, mouth agape, "I don't want rat blood...I wanna-" of course at this point he'd been pulled towards her and drowned under shampoo, forcing him to close his eyes least he wished to risk pain.
Fact was, despite being partially insane, Diego was not prone to hurting himself in the least... he was no masochist. Quite the contrary, he reeled in the pain of others, not his own, which was something else entirely diferent.
"Well," he said as his ears perked, the comment about him being hungry having been forgotten in favour of that of the soap, "It's a long story about tears and blood and bubbles. Lots and lots of bubbles; there was hardship, and adventure! And romance that later on lead to other things my human said I'm too young to talk about," a pause as he blinked his eyes open, frowning; truly, he didn't understand what his human was even talking about; as far as Diego knew he was ******** ageless, bloody undead and should not be limited to-
OH PRETTY BUBBLE!
His thoughts made a mental skid as a buddle rose in the air, giggles errupting from him as he lashed out at it with a clawed paw, conversation once more forgoten, specially as his stomach chose that particular moment to rumble.
HuuuUUuuungryyyyyyyyy~~ Kisoni Violet shook her head and continued to scrub her young charge clean of the mess he'd made for them both. "I'm so sure," She said dryly. What was up with this kit anyway? She knew he was insane but.... Most likely the kit didn't even know what he was saying anyway. Her first owner, the kit's owner, was a little odd--well it was more a problem of the pets. There were several true perverts that she knew Diego lived with.
Perhaps she should have a talk with some of them? Imagine, teaching a kit to say such things! It just wasn't right. The sound of Diego's stomach rattling forced her to back to reality and she sighed. Poor kit... well...
Violet got all the shampoo out of his fur, then laid down beside him and lifter her chin. "You can have some but if you kill me i swear i'll make you regret it." Dark Fire Angel She need say no more, for as soon as the words had flown out of her maw had he turned to face her; despite the fact his eyes were naturally red at all hours, there was a distinct flash within them, his lips pulling back slightly, "Can... I?" innocent was held within the single words, and yet the whole stance was shattered by the look he was aiming her.
Perhaps a trick of the light, or perhaps it was just the hunger that marred his features; whatever the case, Diego looked less of a kit and more of... something else as his small tongue dipped out and licked his maw repeatedly. No further invitation was needed however as he placed a clean blue paw on her shoulder, mostly in order to support himself as he leaned in with opened jaws.
The gesture was sharp, swift; though there was no doubt she'd feel the pain as his fangs penetrated the skin, the sharp pang was brief, replaced by another feeling alltogether, languidness probably washing over her as he drank.
It might've been hours during which the kit drank, or perhaps minutes, seconds even, it was doubtlessly hard to tell, not only him, but for her too, time seemingly having stopped till he let go and plced his chin on her shoulder, a small hiccup indicating he'd finally been sattisfied, for the first time since...
Well, his mind couldn't trail back that far, there was darkness there that fogged it, making it imposible to reach memories further than having suddenly very much 'appeared' in the kitsu headquaters and being adopted; it didn't matter now as he slumped against her, content purring sound rushing through him as he patted her shoulder, "S'that gooooood~~" came the slurred answer. Kisoni The initial bite caused a wince of pain and discomfort. A strangled noise rose over the spray of the shower, but it trailed off as quickly as it had begun. Not a moment later a sweet sort of euphoria seemed to spread through her from the bite on.
Slowly violet relaxed into the bottom of the tub again, a slow smile drawing across her muzzles as her eyes fluttered closed. Time seemed to drift then as she laid peacefully in a strange sort of darkness that began to envelope her.
Not even when the kit let up did Violet come out of that euphoria. As the kit let up and moved to lay against her, she just heaved a happy sigh and continued to lay against him. While she didn't know it, the wound began to heal up almost immediatly--an after afect of the vampire's salaiva--leaving only the faintest mark in the fur where it'd been.
Finally the adult came out of it enough to flip the switch to the shower up and set the drain, letting the bath fill up a little so she could soak some. Violet climbed to her feet just a little, wobbiling somewhat woozily. "W-wow.." She breathed, blinking in what could have been taken as a confused manner. "T-that... wasn't what i exp.... ected." Dark Fire Angel Of course, as soon as she stood, the kit's eyes flew open, his small body slidding back down into the water; he was still pretty much in lalaland, and thus, didn't move, allowing the process to take over... that is, till he found his head under water and thus was force to lift himself up, wet bangs dripping and prety much disarranged plastered against his face and neck. Needless to say it was a discomfortable sensation and thus Diego found himself frowning, sitting in a sprawled mannor in the water as he pawed endlessly at his neck and face, however, only making matters worse.
A spanish curse was released as he droped his paws in the water and raised his gaze up to meet hers, almost longuingly, or perhaps pleading in a way.
His paws raised from the water then still the pleading gaze about him; water good and fine, really, but too much of it was never going to compare to too much fire. Fire was hot, it was warm... it burnt. Water on the other hand was... well, wet for one. And cold too, which he'd suddenly found he did not like, taking into acocunt he'd just ingested a nice deal of warm blood. Diego did not quite want the warm fuzzy feeling gone just yet, and the water was doing nothing more than cooling his artificially warmed skin, not to mention his wings were dripping and a few feathers had become deattactched from the slight strugle to get to her neck.
Perhaps such was why he liked fire; the warmth it emitted, alas, it'd remain a mistery.
"Kinda cold..." plus, he was starting to feel quite naked without his hat; it provided him a sense of... something he could not define. Thus he lowered his head, exposing his neck, pretty much allowing her to pick him and settle him outside the tubM however, he did offer her a fanged smileeven within such a position, eyes flashing in that same dangerous way for a second, "But of course!" he chirped, "That's because /I/ was doing the bitting and /I/ like you," he left it at that and did not explain further... Kisoni "its cold now, b ut.." She moved to turn the hot water on and smiled as it began to warm the water up. "Still.. if you want out." Violet shrugged. The female turned as best she could in the tub and wrapped her arms around him to pick him up.
It took a few minutes, for Violet found herself rather weakened from blood loss. Still, she eventually managed to settle Diego down on the towel outside the tub. "O-okay... here you go. I'm just gonna... soak... for awhile. You towel off really well, and go get your change of clothes! I don't want those bloody things back on you."Dark Fire Angel A pause as he was settled back on the floor, followed by a soft purr and roll of his tongue, however, at the mention of a new set of clothes, the small kitsu tilted his head, frowning somewhat. THen of course, it clicked within his somewhat foggy mind that his human would surely have clothes, "Vale!" he stood swiftly and was about to rush out when he remembered his 'good manners', moving towards his used pile of clothes, grabbing them inside his maw as he tossed his hat up, letting it land on his head, "Ahora vuelvo!"
That much shouted through the layers of clothing he still held in his mouth... the small vampire rushed out of the room, skidding here and there along hallways as he went.
Diego's 'be right back' was nowhere near valid, for it took him a good hour to return, or rather, it took a good hour for Violet to no doubt, hear him rushing back; in fact, the kit was running so fast he skidded.... right past the bathroom door. A crash followed right after his brief appearence by the door, a few more crashes following suit till everything fell silent. Brief seconds later, the whirwind of a kit finally managed to skip INTO the bathroom, fully clothes, dry, clean and looking much better than he had in quite the long time, "Here! Lookit!" neatly balancing himself, he placed both front paws on the tub wall, a small string of beads dangling from his mouth right next to what seemed to be a neatly folded energy bar.
Now, Diego might've been insane; in fact, Diego might've been many things, however, he did know how to say thank you. At least in his own strange way. Kisoni Violet sniffed when the food came near her nose. She was still lounging lazily in the warm, wonderful water. Actually, she'd nearly fallen asleep with her head draped over the back of the tub when diego came back.
"mm?" She made a soft noise, ears perking up, and slowly opened her eyes. "... an engery bar? Heh... maybe you have some sense in you." Violet reached out to take the bar, giving him a wink along with her gentle teasing. After taking a bite her eyes focussed on the beads he was holding. "Oh! Those are gorgous, Diego, where'd you get them?"Dark Fire Angel A giggle followed her words, insane in nature no doubt, bubbling up the kit's body, "Sense, what's this 'sense' you speak of?" having acomplished his goals in the desired order; give Vi gift, feed, give Vi another gift, Diego slowly sat down on the floor again, his giggles haveing receded, though a smirk still lingered upon his maw, specially as he was winked at, his tongue coming out to lick his maw before he turned to walk away, heading towards the door.
He only paused as the female spoke of the beads, "Ahhh... let's jus say it's a gift from me to you, a promise too," he hadn't turned his head to look at her, however, at this point, the vampire finally shifted his weight upon his paws, claws unsheating to sink into to floor, or rather, try to, for the hardness would not allow for such an acton, "Amiga mia..." this said and after another giggle, the kit finally trotted out of the room, his voice sounding down the hallway as he sang some random spanish song, the words practially purred out loud.
Something about his 'promise' should've no doubt left poor Violet with a strange feeling crawling up her skin, for after all, one should leanrn to not talk with half-crazy vampires with a need for blood, gore and otherwise ... a need to could grow into something of an addiction. The end

Don Diego - I hate my life...
Dark Fire Angel Mouth opened into a yawn as the kit sat sprawled against the sofa, fangs displayed clearly as his eyelids seemed to insist on covering his eyes, even if his mind insisted on him staying awake, for some odd reason. Tell truth, the young vampire had not had any sleep in a good three days, the reason he was awake escaping his mind, really; all he knew was that he did NOT want to go to sleep. He should be doing something, yet the 'something' seemed to elude his thoughts, leaving Diego restless and needlesly grumpy.
In fact, he'd not been acting like himself all day; never once had he laughed, never once had he tried to ignate fire upon anything flamable... he'd just sat and looked grumpy. But then again, lack of sleep (And lack of real food for that matter) could do that to you. Ears twitched back and forth, never minding the fact his hat seemed to be on verge of falling, his maw contorted into a grimace as he crossed his paws over his chest stubburnly.
If there was a clear definition of how he felt right now, it was along the lines of 'I haaaate my life' and 'I hate the world~~', however, he uttered no words, merely a light grumbly as red hued eyes narrows, bags under them as he tried not to nod away.
... Sleep was not what he should be doing. What... was it he should be doing anyhow? Sometimes being half crazy was just not the best thing in the world, now was it? Kisoni Shu-jaku, in all his white, red and black glory, pranced down the stairs around three am that morning, not really expecting to find anywone awake. Therefor, the growling and grumbling from the couch startled him by its very unexpectedness. Perhaps early morning wasn't the best time for most growin Kitsu to be awake, and yet this youngster didn't seem at all bothered by the set standard. Rather, the night seemed to call him like no other time; perhaps not for reasons that he liked, but insomniacs rarely chose their disease. Of course, weeks of dealing with this 'disorder' had gotten him into the swing of it, and he didn't really mind the late hours so much anymore. After all, staying up late meant less kitsusagi around to bother him.
Turning his head towards the living room, the teen realized he could just barely make out the figure of another winged kitsu laying prone along the couch. It seemed to be a kit, guaging from the size of him, but what was more unusual was the way his blood red eyes seemed to glow in the darkness. "How absurd," Shu spoke softly into the relative quiet of the house, broken otherwise by naught but the ticking of a distant clock, "And yet, intriguing. I say, they're almost like red-dyed fireflys; surely not natural. But soft, discussing another in such a manner in front of him, while yet not addressing him directly must be rather rude of me. So comes the question--should I stay and take chance that it is indeed not natural, and in truth of a wholey spectral state which could very well be of hazzard to my person, or shall I rather move on and give no more heed to what I have seen here in."
All the through his strange, and somewhat convoluted speech, the young teen had stood staring at Diego with naught but his head tilting this way and that. It was quite obvious to anyone that he was conversing with no one but himself, and that fact didn't really bother him in the slightest. Actually, it seemed to be quite the opposite, for now that he had posed this last question to himself, he seemed rather hesitant to take the final step into the other kitsu's presence. Perhaps afraid, or perhaps just shy, Shu-jaku actually took a small step backward. "Ho there! Be you flesh or be you spector, speak your meaning lying still, so dark and gloomy in the room of daily gathering; speak your meaning, be it dark or be it peaceful, that I might take my leave with consious free of your ambitions." Dark Fire Angel As Diego's ear turned to listen to the teen, a clearly distinct frown spread across his features, replacing the grimace, forcing his eyes to glow even a deeper red. Tell truth, his obvious lack of sleep and the fact it was affecting his allready partially insane brain was not the best of conbinations, as was evident by the uplifting of his lip to show his fangs. Half of the Crane's tirade fell on deaf ears, the vampire only having truly paid attention and made sense out of the first few words, really, "And just who are you to define what is absurd and what is not?" his words were heavy with the spanish accent, marred by a slight growl that was allready begining to grumble deeply in his throat.
He recognised the young though from what little he'd heard his 'babysitter' talk off. After all, she now lived with him. Instantly, however, a deep dislike began to develop for the other male, for odd unknown reasons. All Diego knew was that he did not like this one, and he would not mind maiming or otherwise dancing over his insides under the pale moonlight.
Then again, the idea of Violet yelling at him for such a feat kept him rooted in a spot, ears firmly falling back against the nape of his neck.
"Nor flesh nor spectre am I," the voice was mocking as the kit finally sat up, his figure further more dignified than before, a single paw coming up to his maw, where he licked it and passed it over his face in a clearly feline gesture, "Vampire is what I am... a very hungry vampire whm has decided he does not like you; run along lil crocodile, run along before I bite you," it was clear his desire to bite him was diferent from his desire to bite the older female, allready disgust coiling up his form.
Never would the kit realise this coling hate that travelled up his spine happened to be jelousy... It'd probably take a miracle, or otherwise, a lot of work from Shu to turn the vampire image of him around into something pleasent. Kisoni Shu-jaku's ears raised then laid back as alarm sounded and faded into fear. Oh yes, spector indeed.. or rather the undead. Either way it was not a pleasant thing, and he intended to treat it as such. Unfortunatly for him, his feet seemed rather planted to the ground. So, it was only a matter of moments before his mouth began to run again in some manner of defense. "Oh but you confuse my usage of the word absurd! While most assume that the definition of said word is that something is laughable or otherwise humorous, in fact a short simple definition can be found as the object of said adjetive being 'inconsistent with reason or logic or common sense'. In this case, it is quite certain that your eyes, glowing or not, are simply not logical when put into context of what would be called a 'normal' Kitsusagi. Normal being defined as the standard to which the majority of a specific type adhere to. As most Kitsusagi's eyes are not completely red, and do not, to my knowledge, glow, they are, therefore, absurd. I mean this to be taken in a most complimentary fashion, of course."
Pausing for breath, the young kitsusagi tilted one ear up warily, "You would be, perhaps, Diego, the kit that Lady Violet has spoken of so often?" Shu-Jaku took a step forward this time, as soon as the memory of his babysitter speaking of a vampiric winged kit she knew came forth. He stopped still in the doorway, not daring to get any closer to the vampire than that. "I would call the reborn dead, such as yourself, rather absurd as well, while certainly not laughable! Oh no; to laugh at one such as yourself would only take guts that I do not have. It saddens some to know such, but I have no qualms in admitting my pure cowardice. I do hope that you wouldn't bite me, though; certainly a coward such as myself couldn't taste very good, not to mention that I am but flesh and bones. Violet has claimed, and rightly i am sure, that i should try to eat more; she over estimates the power of my stomach, I fear." Dark Fire Angel Ears perked up, a brow arching up in childish confusion as he eyed the teen before him; this was not expected. In fact, he'd expected Shu to turn tail and run in fear. Either that or simply walk off with a snort, like all the kitsus did whenever he spoke. None lingered except his cousin and Violet amongst very few others, "You... are a very, very dumb lil crocodile, aren't you?" however, at the same time, there was a distinct lessening of the glowing in his eyes, his otherwise stiff frame relaxing down if ever so slightly.
The fact he'd not done like the rest had been a good thing, at least in the campire's ears, however, Violet's name swiftly rearranged his pose again, his ears laying back again, "Ohhhh?" a pause as he narrowed his gaze slightly, "And has Lady Violet to say of me?" oddly interested in knowing about such things, Diego leaned forth slightly, one ear perking as his head tilted, no doubt curiosity bitting away at him allready. Even though insane, he had one thing clear; whatever she thought was mildly important at least, and thus he was interested in hearing out the teen.
After a minute had gone by, the vampire was leaning over the edge of the sofa so eagerly that it looked like he might fall off and stumble any second now, however, he seemed to be breaking every law of phisics by being able to stay put and in balance in such a pose, "It is not the flesh or bones that allurs me, really, but the taste of blood," a smirk in the dim light, fangs flashing, "And the burning of fire, oh so warm," a pause, "I'm afraid I'm not like fire though; I'm cold, dead... I lack the burning passion fire has, however do not under estimate yourself, even as a meal." perhaps a riddle, perhaps not, perhaps insane ramblings... or perhaps just for once, the kit's mind had spoken quite clearly indeed. Kisoni The teen didn't move forward or backward, choosing instead to remain put. To most--or at least to Violet--the kit would have already lost the fear he had over his audience. However, it was becoming more and more obvious that Shu-jaku was not 'most'. Still scared stiff, except for his rather vocal mouth, which continued to ramble on. "Even so they say that the state of the body can penetrate the state of the blood. Or perhaps its vice versa? Either way, vampirism it seems to me is a lot like old fashioned cannibalism; there were many cultures who believed that in eating a part of another's flesh or drinking their blood, you retain a portion of them in yourself. Their bad, and their good... It has never been confirmed wether this is fact or fiction, though science would have it dubbed fiction for its spiritual trappings. They seem to do that a lot."
The odd interest in Violet sparked Shu's imagination, but he kept his opinion on that to himself. He did mark how Diego reacted, for further examination later... in private, away from the certain threat. "As for the Lady; she says not much, but what she does is flattering indeed--or i assume it is flattering in nature. She has spoken of your prowess with flame and flight; and no other has gotten her quite so enraged in so short a period of time. In truth, you are both her bane and blessing, for in you there is a challenege like which no other has presented. It is not my place to speak more on what she may have said, though, for with this divulgation I have already misplaced her trust." Dark Fire Angel A brow arched elegantly, or rather, the overall effect would've counted as elegant had the kit not been leaning forth so much he practically looked like he was going to fall over the edge of the sofa, "Ah, but you are wrong; blood is blood, it is nothing but food. When you eat a vegetable or an animal's meat, do you retain it's evil or otherwise it's soul? No, yah don't, it'd be against the basic rules," a pause, followed by a fanged smirk, "Besides, I highly doubt there is much salvation in store for my soul, if I do have any... I'm evil enough without need of any blood to corrupt me, now am I not? I eat, there for I am," and this said, the small male swooped down from his perch, landing carefully on the floor, cape spreading around him as he grinned, eyes flashing in the dim light the lamp had to offer.
It was all quite simply within the vampire's mind, for there wasn't much to think about; his process of thought usually went around blood, food, fire, burning, blood food and repeat again, sometimes adding Duckula or Violet to the mix whenever necessary.
Never did Diego think twice about his odd fixation for his babysitter; his mind never really paused to think why he was so interested in her or what she thought, however, as Shu's tirade endded, his eyes narrowed, frame haunching over as he prowled nearer the other winged kitsu. Though larger than he was, the vampire seemed to be acting like the predator in the picture, baring his fangs, "Really now? A salvation?" he paused then, inches away from the crane in order to lift his head up, laughter ringing through the hallways... laughted he'd not used in a couple of days, insane, wholeheartly amused, and it didn't die down for a couple of good minutes, "Now why is it that the comparism amuses me so? MMmmm? And what's this you can't tell me? My my... brave lil toaster, ain't cha?" Kisoni When Diego'd left his perch, the crane kitsu had taken a good jump backward into the hall. There he stopped, holding his place as best a coward such as himself could. Behind him his wings flapped nervously, almost like he were considering flight, rather than fight. "T-toaster? Hardly my good sir! Toasters are small kitchen appliances, generally metal and shiney, though they've come up with a good variety in the years. Toast; they make toast. Considering that I am not metal, or shiney, I know I am not a toaster, and, on that not, i cannot be toast either. Toast is crunchy and brown, and I am neither."
There was a sudden pause, as Shu caught himself. A confused expression crossed his maw and the impending danger seemed to fade from thought. "Of course, if the toast is burnt, and covered in cream cheese and jelly, then I suppose that makes the toast white, black and red..." The teen turned a little to a convienently placed mirror in the hallway and looked up into it. "It seems that I am, in fact, white, black and red. Perhaps I AM toast!" Dark Fire Angel "Indeed yoh are!" came the cheerfull chirp as Diego rounded the kitsu, placing himseg directly in front of the exit, and thus, leaving poor Shu no place to go but back inside the room.... unless the crane were to fly right over him. It might work, but then again, the vampire had perfectly useful wings, which were arched in the air, almost as if daring the other male to try such a stunt.
A snort escaped the kit's maw as he seated himself; it was clear the predator stance around him had vanished, for some reason the inital hatred he'd felt for Shu slowly washing away, "You're nuttier than I am, aren't you?" the sole notion brought a smile to his fanged amw and as he tilted his head, he reached up to take his hat off, bowing like a gentleman before the crane, "I don't think I've introduced myself; my my, where ever are my manners? Dondiego a su servicio, seor~~"
Fact was, the vampire had finally deemed the Crane a less than worthy adversary, and though his mind never clicked as to WHY he'd ever thought poor Shu as an adversary, perhaps the thought would finaly click on the older male. It was there in the air for either of them to grasp, but Diego's mind was far too ocupied with other thoughts to pay mind to the plot bunny that had appeared out of no where, "Toast..." his tongue came out his maw in order to lick it almost sensually, "Right up my alley too," he murmured as he straightened up again into a sitting position. Kisoni "I am Shu-jaku," the crane said in response, though his fur was now standing on end in fear. He looked more like a giant puff ball than toast, but that didn't much seem to matter to him. Backing off a few more steps, Shu-jaku continued, "But as we have just discovered that I am Toast, I cannot also be a nut. Unless you're the type that likes to put peanut butter on your toast; though why you would want peanut butter, cream cheese AND Jelly on a slice I havn't the foggiest. Rather odd, wouldn't you say? Well no, of course you wouldn't say that, since you just divulged that you do like that. I'm bloody sorry, old chap, I don't mean to sound quite so insulting, wot wot! Its just that you're a rather odd fellow to begin, and all this talk isn't really settling straight with-- oh dash it all, i'm compounding the whole mess, arn't I?
Upon stopping in his retreat from the slacking threat, the teen let himself crouch further towards the floor in a base show of humility. His mind replayed Diego's last words to him, and the lick of his jaw, and once more the teen's eyes went wide as he put two and two together and came up with five, "And i'm sorry, but i'm not really interested in men, especially those younger than myself." Dark Fire Angel "No, no, you defined yourself as toast, my good sir... I just said you are crazier than I am, which is quite a feat, my contralitions to you," the words were said with a clear smirk as his head tilted lightly to one side, his hat looking like it'd slide off any second now, however, defying all laws of gravity, it managed to stay on somehow.
A pause at the teen's last words, and instantly, Diego tossed his head back again, laughter ringing through the hallways of the HQ. In fact, there came a moment, the vampire slipped and fell down, having lost his strength from so much laughing; he lay, rolling his paws around his chest as if it hurt tremendously from all the laughter, though the peals of it... did not die down for quite some time. It took the vampire a few good minutes to get ahold of himself, and by the time he did, he'd lost his strength, breathing harshly as his red eyes looked up at Shu, "You must be joking, mate!" he managed to breathe between intakes of breath, "I don't swig that way, as much as you look lady-like and act like a woman, I'm afraid I'm into real ones."
A smirk crossed his maw as he pulled himself into a sitting position again, albeit with difficulty; it was clear by the shaking of his forelimbs he hadn't quite recovered from the laughter, not to mention the fact he'd allready been weak from utter lack of blood and sleep, both, "It'd be a crime to... leave the ladies without my awesomeness self for them to feast on," ego much? However, it was clear he did deem himself worthy enough of any female's attention.
A long pause followed, his smirk fading as his head leaned forth, the lack of food and sleep having visibly hit him after the two laughter fits. He slunched over, however... he'd refused to go to Violet for help for days, hence why he'd not slept and had not had any food; it was about time he did though... either that, or risk actual death from severe lack of blood, "Mrffftt...." red eyes were once again fixed on the teen, "Do you know where Violet lingers...?" Kisoni It has been said that laughter is infectious. This case would be no exception, and soon Shu-jaku found himself laughing along with his insane companion without the slightest clue as to why. As his laughter wasn't quite so loud or hard as Diego's he had little trouble recovering when it finally simmered to a halt. A grin remained plastered to his muzzle as he listened to the other male, and he nodded at the end of it, despite the insults to his person. "Well that is rather nice, wot. Not that I have anything against those that would be so inclined, but I would rather not have such romantic notions around to cloud my judgement. Violet says it will be like that, you know; love tends to cloud you to most everything but the one that you have feelings for, and basic needs. Doesn't sound very pleasant, does it?"
"As for our Lady's wearabouts i know not.. it does occur to me, however, that most Kitsusagi--and indeed most mammals--are asleep at this hour, save for the few of us whom are nocturnal wether it be by instinct of dysfunction. As dear Violet is not inflicted as I am, I would think that she is in her bed getting 'beauty sleep' as it she calls it." A spark registered in Shu's eyes then, born partially of Diego's speech and his own, and as per usual the thought came flying straight out his mouth. "I say! You have a thing for Violet, wot wot! Don't know why I didn't see that at first, it should be rather bloody obvious, if you'll pardon the phrasing my good man." Dark Fire Angel Eyes still fixed on the teen, Diego allowed a yawn to escape his maw, "I've heard love is blind, alas I understand not how a non phisical thing can be blind or not; whatever... I believe not in love, I only live for fire and blood, and I'm soooooo hungry," with this, he slumped forward, allowing his chin to hit the ground noisly; the pain was actually welcomed as for it managed to quell his hunger for a few moments before it died down and the feeling that'd been curling around him returned.
Hunger and sleep clouded his mind fully again now that the jelousy had kicked out, his maw wrinkling in confussion as Shu spoke, "What's a 'thing'?" of course, never had it even crossed his mind; yes, he was addicted to her, but he'd always associated it with his need to drink, and the fact she seemed to be the only one that allowed him to do so... Rats were not nearly as sattisfying after all, now where they? "Bed? I am hungrrryyyyyy~~" it was now a consistent whine, his obvious age as a kit showing through as he turned his attention to his paw, forcefully bitting into it, blood rolling down to the floor.... but of course, drinking his own blood quelled not the hunger, and soon enough he abandoned the effort, ears perking up.
What was this.... this 'thing' Shu spoke of? He'd ask Duckula, but his cousin wasn't around; probably curled up sleeping about veggies elsewhere, "Huh? Well, if you mean a 'thing' as an addiction, perhaps you're right; but it's not MY fault!" the first sparks of actual sanity were shown by the vampire as he grumbled, "She was the one that allowed me to bite her, and I'm hungry as bloody hell," flattening his ears back, he eyed Shu, almost as if he were somehow intimidated by the ghost of a notion that'd just passed though his mind at the words.
Never... imposible. He knew not of the feeling, he had no soul or heart. Kisoni "Love is blind because it doesn't have eyes!" Shu-jaku answered with a grin that said it should have been obvious, "It has no physical body, thus it has no eyes and cannot see, so it has no choice but to be blind--that is what is so wonderful about it, I suppose." THe teen's head tilted as he watched the 'threatening' kit become more and more childlike. Why he had been scared of Diego he was no longer sure, and yet... he was still scared of him, and would remain so just because of that first impression he'd gotten.
"Well there is but one way to find out if she sleeps. I do pity whomever would dare wake her at this hour, though, for she can be as firey as a demon--no matter how sweet the lady is regularly. Perhaps she will allow you to bite again? If she did once I see not why she should deny it this time. Of course, she can't give blood too often--it would kill her." It never entered his head to offer his own blood up, and indeed he wouldn't for that would involve pain. If there was one thing the winged kitsu couldn't stand, it was pain.
"there are," He added after a moment's thought, "Rats in the kitchen. They have blood." Dark Fire Angel "Rats do not compare," his lids fell heavily over his eyes then, a frown as he looked away from the teen, eyes directed towards the window, "It's like offering you grass to eats; yes, you can eat it, and yes, it will work somewhat, however, you can not compare it to a nice meal... you can not compare it to what it is that you were truly made to eat," he'd never really even paused to wonder about how his cousin managed to live with only eating veggies, for after all, nature had... mysterious ways of working, and tell truth, his partial sanity only left him enough time to think about anything in particular, really, and Duckula was always in the back seat of his mind, never in the front.
Ears perked back towards Shu, a brow arching in what might've been defined as confusion, "Aye, love is blind, however, why is it no one says hunger is blind? Or jealousy?" of course, a vampire was still a vampire, and though Diego was hardly conventional is his ways, not being nearly as threatening as many of his kind might've, he was still to be taken into consideration, if only due to the way his mind worked, unpredictable at best. At the mention of a firey demon, the kit burst into insane giggles, having never really paid full attention to the teen's words, "I liiiiike fire," he managed between giggles, purring mildly, eyes taking a moment to flash as he sat up again.
The giggles didn't recede till a few moments after, and as soon as it'd come, it left, leaving actual sanity within the male's features as he tilted his head, "four days, twenty three hours, ten minutes and forty seconds," was all he said before he blinked; it wasn't obvious what he meant, however, in a way... Shu might've been able to tell Diego was voicing out the time that'd gone since the last bite.
How on earth he'd managed to keep track was doubtlessly a mystery. One Shu would probably not want to know about at any rate, "Take me to her?" Kisoni "Well i suppose not," Shu replied to the grass comment, though his stomach was now churning at all the talk of blood. "But grass is nicer to eat than blood." The whine of his words echoed through the room and he lowered his head a little. "And i guess jealousy and hunger can be blind too? I have heard someone say that hunger is blind... but its not exactly an emotion, but more a bodily function or instinct."
At the last part Shu-jaku's eyes widened and he shook his head, "Oh no!" all three of his tails managed totuck between his legs as he crawled a few steps back with a ducked head, "You should know where her room is! I am most certainly going no where near her this early in the morning! You may be dead already, but I am not and I like to live!" Dark Fire Angel A blink as the kit tilted his head to one side; for some odd reason it seemed to be imposible for him to think of Violet as scary, but then again... one look at Diego would probably determine why the kit had such a mentality. After all, this was a kitsu whom thought bathing in someone's blood was a perfectly acceptable passtime, all in all, "Ooooookay..." he drawled-dragged out the word before he smiled, "Encantado de conocerte pues!" he chirped happily as a good bye before he rushed off for the stair case.
Tell truth, he was unsure why he'd not... gone to her before. Why had he waited it out? There was a nagging thought of just WHY at the back of his mind, but the vampire quelled it and ran on, not really licking the notion behind the thought. Eatting was above his sanity right now... if he did not get real food soon, he'd not only not have to worry about his sanity any more, but he'd simply... never have to worry again, period.
Upon reaching a certain room, he slowed down, eyes narrowing to adjust to the pitchblack darkness, glowing; he had no problem seeing, really, his eyes were addapted to darkness, however, did take a moment or two to glance around, and whence sure she was in there and alone, he padded in, closing the door with his hind paw before hoping over the bed to loom over her.
Well, loom.... as best as a kit could loom over an adult, "Heeeeey...." it was a whispered word, hissed slightly as his paw came to shake her shoulder slightly. Kisoni Nighttime, never the best time for Violet--mainly because she was dead asleep during it like any reasonable Kitsu. As it was, she was long deep in fantasy-land, visions of sugar plums and beefy hunks dancing in her head. Dream faded into reality, slowly pulling her back as a hand touched her paw. When the voice melted, however, from a sexy, debonaire baritone into the slightly whiney, accented voice she'd so long been accustomed to Dream-Violet had a moment of pure horror. "Diego! What are you doing here? You're not a body-builder!" She 'snapped' in her dream, but all the kit would actually hear was a garbled version of the same message.
Finally her royal blue eyes fluttered open, staring at the blurred pillow before her. "Hwah? Mmrrr.." Slowly Violet drug herself up a little, turning to look behind her and jumped awake at the sight of Diego actually there in person. Shock faded quickly to relief then anger, "Diego!! Do you have any idea what time it is?!" Dark Fire Angel A pause, "Yes; somewhere around between sunset and sunrise, canIhavesomebloodpleaseIloveyou?" another pause followed as brows knitted over luminescent red eyes, "What's a body builder?" idly he made mental note to ask Hong Yen what such things were, also making mental note to destroy any such things he were to find within the near proximity; for some odd reason the thoughts of one (whatever it was) inducing jealousy within the small vampire.
A third pause followed as the vampire sat down and counted on his paw, "Though actually, and if my internal clock is correct which I have no idea if it is, I'd say it's approx... 4am in the morning," a smile as he blinked innocently a her, "Shu-jaku didn't want to share blood with me and I'm VERY hungry, and I'm going to wither away and die, a second time no less and can I have some? Because I WILL bloody well burn down the freakin' HQs if I have to eat another rat," his words were rushed, urgent, and really, it would've been a miracle if poor Violet's sleep induced brain were able to really understand even half of what he said.
He DID accentuate certain words however, 'Die', 'blood', and 'burn' being a few of them, so deep down the Spanish kitsu knew the female would somehow get the base message across, "I neeeeeeeeeeed you~~" a persistent whine as he tossed his head back and howled, then paused, frowned and suddenly remembered that it was werewolves whom howled, not vampires, making him look all the more pathetic if possible. Never did it occur to him that anyone listening could've taken his words the wrong way, after all, there was no room for that in the kit's mind. Not right now at least. Kisoni Violet sighed with a soft growl. Males were so persistant! Give them an inch and they wanted a mile. Still, she was too tired to protest and thus fell back down against the bed with a huff. Watching him through lidded eyes, she listened to his continued pleas and threats with a half-cocked ear before closing her eyes completely and heaving another sigh. "You won't stop until you get it, will you?"
Without waiting for and answer, the orange-furred Kitsu moved a little, exposing her neck more to him through the white ruff of her coat, "Fine, lets do this.. and don't get the sheets messy! Silk isn't easily cleaned." Dark Fire Angel The small kit paused to consider the option, then shook his head from side to side, "Nope!" he had to refrain from giggling as he allowed himself to lay down, his hat long forgotten on the side of the bed since he'd tossed his head back to howl. Now this was paradise...
Diego was no fool, he knew he'd never see heave; he was damned, and quite cursed that way. He'd probably only see the darkest, most horrible pit of hell upon his 'death', however, that didn't keep him from outright enjoying the few little pleasures he could still find. Burning things down to ashes was one of them, but this.... this was above it in so many levels he could simply not describe, "Okay, no worries..." the words were whispered, and surprisingly enough the whine not only had long vanished, but had left his voice in a slightly more intimidating baritone, "I won't spill..." and this said he slowly lowered his head to first of n** slowly at her fur and then bite.
Amusingly enough and even despite his obvious hunger he was well careful to not bite down harshly, placing a paw over her to keep a good balance whilst his cape spread out around them. This, was no doubt heaven, was the last coherent thought that streamed through his mind, a persistent purr like sound rumbling through his chest as he drank away. Kisoni Once more it actually felt rather nice, after the initial sharp pain. Violets annoyed sigh softened into a a much more contented one and she let her eyes slip closed. The weight and warmth of the kits body over hers was rather comforting, all in all, and she soon found herself lulled into a strange sort of bliss. Actually, it almost lulled her right back into her dream about the body builders. A sharp blush spread under the orange of her cheeks as reality once more began to blur. "mm.. darek!" She giggled softly. Dark Fire Angel Lulled into a similar sort of bliss, the vampire drank away, eyes becoming heavy lidded till her voice pierced his thoughts; it was a mistake on her part really, for unconsciously Diego bit harder in her, sharper, making the mark much deeper than it'd been intended too, claws coming out as he hissed.
WHO was Darek?
The single word had been enough to snap him right out of the dream state, however, it did take the kit a few more seconds to notice he was both digging his claws into her and biting much too hard; it was a dangerous game that what she was playing and one false move from her would indeed kill her. Even he knew that much despite the insanity that clouded his mind, and thus, he let go, a small droplet of blood rolling down his chin to mar the sheets.
Instantly his ears dropped, "Oops..." as his eyes drifted back to her neck he winced, "Double oops?" voice meek and ears quite lowered he let out a sigh; he was satisfied, but he was not happy. It was a good thing that vampire bites had a way of healing very rapidly, Diego figured, however, he didn't leave and merely sat to her side, looking quite depressed; worst thing was, of course, he had no idea why he wasn't happy. It was downright frustrating, if you ask him.
Maybe he SHOULD burn down the HQs after all, that's sure as hell cheer him up! The end

Jack Skellington - Flashback from the past Angmar Nicneven, in all her decaying glory, had made the most unfortunate decision to wake up this morning. And since that rather condemning decision was made, she had looked upon it as a rather bad idea, wishing that it had in fact never happened.
Helkanen, for one reason or another had been howling and squealing and running about like the apocalypse was coming. This she grew to suspect was simply to spite her and get her out of the house, though he had timidly assured her that he'd seen a frightening bumblebee. Regardless of his motive, it did get her out of the house, and with no where better to go, she had begun making her way, creaking and groaning and dripping many nasties, to the Mountain HQ. She wearily wished that she were in better shape, she figured she could have been there by now if she hadn't the need to worry about body parts being left behind. Dark Fire Angel A frown marred the male's features as his head hung low, sniffing along the grass much like an ordinary dog; his ears remain flattened against his skull and the more time that passed, the more frustrated he seemed to grow. It was clear he seemed to be trying to find something or other, however, to no avail, for no matter ho many time he looked under rocks, behind trees and in flower beds... the skelleton kitsu found not his treat.
Or rather, he found not his Zero, whom he'd lost somewhere around the HQs.
Sitting down in quite the frustrated manner, the king of Halloween contempted himself with glaring at the flowers that grew by his side in a clear 'and just what're you looking at?' sort of way, however, the poor flowers had nothing to say and were forced to remain swaying by the wind. When it was made clear that nor the grass, and nor the flowers would tell him where his small companion had gone to, Jack finally let out a sigh and lifted his gaze, only to see.... a flash back from his youth in the form of the zombi-fied kitsu.
A brow arched in question at her creaking and groaning and as he stood and slowly padded over towards her, he idly wondered if perhaps, just perhaps... the noises she was making were getting more and more pronounced by age, "And a pleasant morning to you!" he chirped in welcome as she neared, never mind the fact she was a rotting corpse. After all, he was... kind of mated to another one; there was little that could really sicken him.Angmar With a startled keening sound, followed soon after by the popping of a number of vertibrae. Nicneven's head jerked in the direction of the addressing voice. Had she been... somewhere she expected to run across another Kitsu, perhaps she would have paid better attention. However as much of her focus had been on simply recalling the way to the building she had grown to call sanctuary, and as such, the greeting startled her rather noticeably.
"Von should know not to sneak up on a Nightmare!" she snapped in irritation, the sound akin to a motor attempting to start up under water, "Ve can not see you ven you are near!" she added, craning her neck to an odd angle as she attempted to catch wind of the guilty party. But as the Kitsu's scent wafted to her bony nose, she was suprised to realize it was one she recognized--and not all together dispised at that matter, "Tze Highness of tze Hallowe'en?" she asked curiously, ruffled posture lessening slightly, and she let out a barking sandpaper-y laugh, grinning at Jack, "Aah, even tze royal should not be sneaky." she chastized, this time her attitude considerably improved. Dark Fire Angel Had Jack been any younger, he would've doubtlessly sneered, commenting on how it was hardly sneaking if he wasn't trying to BE sneaky in the first place, however, as things were, the male had grown something akeen to manners, and thus paused upon being snapped at, and though hardly impressed or startled by it, he did lower his head an inch into a slight bow. It never occured to him that the nightmare couldn't really SEE it, but then again, Jack was known for not paying too much attention to detail, often times missing the larger, greater pictures due to this, "My pardon, wasn't my intention to startle you," another pause, "At least it wasn't my intention to do so now," he rectified as he sat down.
Once more, he glanced around, frowing slightly, still taking his time to see if he could spot the traslucent form of Zero, but again to no avail. Allowing a hash sigh to slip through his maw before he raised his gaze, he smirked, "Aye, I'm the rightful king of Halloween, though I don't expect anyone to bow or anything," still the smirk lingered, however, there seemed to be an almost sheepish hint to his voice, "I... wasn't trying to be sneaky, at least not right now.... Emily'd yell at me for it anyhow, god knows why; it's fun to scare someone once in a while... life's no fun without a good scare now and then; gives for the thrill, the adventure! The fun!"
It must've been quite obvious that despite the fact he'd indeed 'matured' persay, Jack was... still rather childish in more than one ways. At least, however, he could no longer be defined a royal brat. There came a pause as his eas flopped down again, "You haven't... sensed any one else around, have you? I seemed to have lost my lithe gardian. He barks like a dog..." Angmar A tattered ear flickered in thought as the Nightmare contimplated his question. Nicneven strained to recall any such dog-like barks she may have overheard and simply dismissed as a normal innocent canine. Frowning, she shook her head, "I do not believe zet I have come across any such sings..." she replied appologeticly.
Shifting backwards to the comment beforehand, she grinned wryly, black something oozing from the corner of her mouth, "Tze Marvelous King ist taking orders from another?" she asked, bemused. "Who ist zis Emily zet you vould forgo your silly scare-tactics and resort to sneaking up on an achey Nightmare?"

Don Diego - Insane? I think not, My Dear Kisoni Sunlight glittered from her fur. Okay, that was romantic crap, but she liked it. Violet chuckled as she stretched lazily under the heat streaming in the window. It was cold outside, as winter was coming, and Violet didn't care for it out there. Of course, the sun was beginning to set as well, which meant that it was going to get cold everywhere. That caused a sigh to form in her chest, spilling from her maw slowly. Stretching once more, the Kitsusagi finally stood up. Despite having a long nap, and she was still "tired" in the content, wonderful way that being lazy made you tired. Normally Violet would have been spending her days chasing after some heathen kit or another... but none had cropped up in the past few months. After Diego and Duckula had grown into their teen "years" she'd let them go. In fact, she hadn't heard from either boy in quite some time.
It was a bit of a relief, and yet somewhat disturbing. At first, it'd been wonderful--to have time to herself again was a rare and exquisite thing. Then she'd gone through a time of actually missing Deigo's incessant pestering. That had faded eventually, as Violet had once more gotten used to having her quiet time.. and now she didn't have anything ruining her perfect fur.
The female fluffed herself a little further as she strotted up the stairs towards the room she still kept in DFA's Pet-house. Having two humans had its blessings in being able to choose where she wanted to be when one group annoyed her. It didn't really help when they all did, but that rarely happened. Stepping into her little room, she shook herself all over to resettle her fur. Humming her favorite song to herself, the orange-gold coloured female checked the shutters on her window and drew the drapes before flopping into the soft cushion she called a bed.
Oh the bliss of laziness. A small thought prod at her mind that she was realy rather bored with this... but she ignored it. She was warm, it was quiet, and she was beautiful. Content with that knowledge, Violet closed her eyes and slept. Dark Fire Angel The sun was horrible.
... The sun had to die. Or something. Something preferably bloody. And sadistic, because the sun was the enemy. No, seriously. It was. Oooooh, the sun would've died long ago, had it been in Diego's paws to do something about it; it made him feel sick. When Diego felt 'sick', he felt like killing baby animals, which was not really er... allowed around here anyhow, and thus the vampire was never in a good mood at this time. In fact, this meant he was never in a good mood 50% of the time; he usually avoided being awake during the day and would instead curl up in a deep dark closet for sleep, however, today he'd found that the bloody god damned closets were ocupied by other ... bigger kitsusagi. In fact, his closet of choice had been ocupied by Silos, whom Diego had learnt not to bug or bother in any way. Nightmare kitsusagi had a god damned temper, and though laid back, the male's horns were sharp, as he'd found out when he was a kit, long ago.
Thus so, the vampire had been left to prowl the house grumpily, murmuruing partialy obscure, and rather colorful curses under his breath as he padded along, his head low and eyes hooded, bags from lack of sleep marring his expression. God damn the 'You are NOT ALLOWED to kill baby animals, Diego!! WHAT EVER have they done to you?!' rule his owner had set him with. What was wrong with a little hunting anyhow? But then again, the prospect of angering the lithe human was not a good one; that meant no scratching behind his ears and no lap sitting on cold winter nights, not to mention no wamr blood, and a good deal of nasty glares his way - He'd adapted to it. He never killed for sports anymore; there were just too many down sides.
Idly, while padding, his cousin's grin flashed through his mind's eye and the spanish vampire flattened his ear back; gods, he was jelous in a way. The veggie loving green vampire was free to run around and play all day, unaffected by the sun, meanwhile he had to hide in the shadows and glare daggers at the sunlight. Life just wasn't fair, now was it? Thank god that night was fast aproaching and his good mood would easily return with it. Night was good; everyone was meant to love the night. In fact, Diego could not comprehend WHY anyone would NOT love the night. It was beyond him.
Talking about unfair...
Violet's room was just up ahead in the hallway.
Arching a brow at the fact no sunlight spilled from the inside, the male slowly padded nearer, peeking his head from door; it was quite dark inside, but his red eyes were more than used to seeing in darkness (in fact, more used to it, at that), and he easily saw the female's form sleeping in a corner. My, my, wasn't she lazy; sleeping already. Frowning slightly as a fleeting thought crossed his mind, the vampire shrugged and turned to continue on his way, for he'd really not stopped to talk to her in a very long time, and he really... did not feel like it. He liked her, oh yes, he did; the crush he'd had on her since his kithood hadn't quite disipated, but he'd pushed it back long ago. She was a beatuy, and he was ... uhm... well, he was dead. That for starters. That aside, he was a monster. Yeah, not a good combo; he couldn't change her, or himself. So he'd left her side long back; he'd even actualy completely avoided her right after growing into his teen years, and he was actualy sure she didn't even know he'd become an adult, quite some time ago. He was content with knowing he'd annoyed her and stolen her time as a kit.
A dark smirk grew atthe knowledge and he padded past the door, walking down the hall, but he'd not taken three steps when he paused, one paw raised in mid stride; she'd had her eyes closed. Which meant she was asleep.
... Oi.
Slowly, he turned back towards the room, and this time stepped in, his head high, the light that filter through the door now blocked by his frame, further conceled by the large cloack that dragged over his tails and his spread wings; why not? She was asleep; it's not like she'd see him, he argued with himself, and thus slowly padded over to her, red eyes blinking at her form as he neared and sat dowd besideher, not quite touching, but just barely feeling her warmth.
Lazy, lazy, lazy...
Did she still smell good?
Lowering his head, he sniffed at her pelt around the base of her neck, then around her ears, his excuse being that, well, he WAS partialy insane; he'd claim insanity if she woke up. Yup. He swiftly found out that yes; she did still smell good, however, he pulled away a few bare seconds later, regarding her with a tilted head in the dark, red eyes shinning down at upon her form; he was larger than her now. Tee... the thought was randomly amusing and the kitsu smirked in the darkness of the room.
He'd quite forgoten about the sun by now.Kisoni In point of fact, Diego was quite a bit larger than her now, the sleeping Kitsusagi simply didn't know it. Likely the knowledge would have kept her far from DFA's place for a very long time--possibly forever--for though she'd never considered that Diego's feelings might have run deeper for her than sheer obstinance, there was always something unsettling about the way the 'kit' had presented himself. Content in her lazy sleep, the female twitched her ears at her nightly assailant and continued to sleep blissfully unaware of how bothersome life was likely going to be hence forth.
The last of the sunlight left quickly, leaving darkness so deep that it questioned wether light had ever truly existed. It was during this time that a self-consious feeling began to creep into the back of Violet's mind. There was something wrong going on somewhere. At first her dreams, just started, began to reflect it some of the worst ways they could have before her eyes opened the merest slit. It was even posible that Diego wouldn't notice, they'd moved so little differently from normal dream-twitching. More awarness of 'reality' wasn't so helpful for Violet, however. As her dreams faded she was more and more aware of the presence of another form in her pitch black, warm hole of a room. Suddenly it didn't feel quite so warm.
Fur standing on end, the haughty little princess of both her owners' houses, Violet sat up suddenly and turned to face what she privatly hoped was nothing more than a wall of darkness. The shriek she gave at seeing a pair of somehow glowing red eyes likely was heard down the hall, though it was questionable as if help would actually come. After all, such outbursts were usually only caused by "harmless" pranks and nothing worth getting involved in from a bystandards point of view. She wished it were different.
"W-who..." Violet gulped, moving backward into the corner her bed was pushed into. The eyes hadn't yet seperated themselves from the blackness, and despite some strange feeling of familiarity, fear greatly outweighed the better half of her brain. "What do you think you're doing?!"
The authoritive voice Diego might have remembered was gone, though she'd tried her best to intice it. No, surprisingly Violet sounded rather young for being the eldest Kitsu in the house. Dark Fire Angel The male remain unmoving, merely watching for the time being, his tail adopting an instinctive and quite lazy swish over the floor as his wings settled on his back; now that night had settled, they felt no need to bar the filtered light, and instead wlecomed what little of it seeped into the room.
It was then she moved. In fact, she jolted awake, and she shrieked, and deep down, Diego was surprised she hadn't reacted sooner, however, he did not move and merely regarded her further.
"Watching you," the response she got was calm, if not slightly amused as the male tilted his head towards the other side, his hat held up by a deft movement of his ear as he remain seated. Quite unlike her, he seemed calm, unmoved, however, the hit of amusement was ringing in his red eyes as he watched her recoil, "Last I checked, watching was not a crime; did the rules change while I was lurking in the dark?" his tone held a mocking edge, one that had never been present whilst he was a kit. In fact, during his kithood he'd not talked to her in anything but an adoring tone, looking up her; it had vanished though, no trace of it left... the cold mocking edge to his voice all that was left, "What? You don't recognise me, Princess?" stepping slightly more into the moonlight, the vampire sat down again, silent, regarding her calmly for a few moments before he turned his head away and focused his attention on the doorway, one ear twitched her way, the other towards the door.
She'd shireked quite loudly, and though he was sure no one was going to come, he checked by piboting his ear around, listening intently; No, no footsteps that he could hear. Not like he cared; he wasn't DOING anything wrong anyhow, and didn't plan to. He liked her. But he knew where he stood.
Which was more to say about him than many others.
Turning back towards her, the vampire blinked his eyes, "You're small," the mocking tone had vanished and the words were instead said matteroffactly as he tilted his head to one side, some of the old childish curiosity seeping into his stance as he regarded her, "Don't remember you being quite so small," a pause followed, his tails coming to curl around his frame; he kept his distance now, allowing her to have her space, unlike when she'd been asleep, "Then again, I think I've not seen you since I was a kit; I remember I could hide under you, now you could hide under me; isn't that amusing?" well, in his defense, it WAS amusing to him, his smirk showed this even in the dark, and even despite the way his dark bangs obscured his eyes from view; he'd grown yes, but the creepiness factor about him had probably multiplied tenfold. Kisoni That voice. The female's eyes widened slightly at the sound of it. It was deeper than she remembered--in fact, she'd remembered a prepubescent voice, almost like a females. Somehow it was still recognizeable, though undoubtedly masculine. Of course, that might have been the remaining accent; after all, even the way he spoke to her had altered. By that point Diego hadn't needed to step into the actual light--what little there was filtered through the shutters--doing so only helped to further silence his old nursemaid. The last time they'd seen one another he'd barely been a teenager... now a full grown man stood in front of her, one that she might not have recognized but for the hat and accent. Gone was the merry, if somewhat morbid, kit she'd known to be replaced with someont that... well, came off as rather cold.
Violet's mouth shut with a rather noticable snap as she regarded this turn of events. He was bigger than her now... a LOT bigger. She wasn't sure how to feel about that, though a part her her shivered. Ignoring it, the female found her voice, "In a slightly ironic way, I suppose."
A pause followed, then Violet shook her head and shoulders in a canine fashion, her earrings and a single beaded decoration flopping about her ears as she did. The hard press of the beads reminded her were she'd gotten that particular adornment from. It suddenly struck her as odd that she'd never once taken it off.
A second memory: why she had gotten the token in the first place.
That secret area inside shivered again and Violet's ears laid back. She ran her eyes over her ex-foster child's new form again, then said in a shockingly soft voice, "Its been a long time... perhaps the rules did change. You've grown a lot, as you so helpfully pointed out." Dark Fire Angel "Not since yesterday they haven't, last I checked, love," the smirk was still present, even though at that point he wasn't really smirking, but rather, grinning; it still came off as the former though, since... well, it just did. His whole frame helped for it to be so, as did his stance and features, even if he meant no harm; she didn't seem to know this and the thought passed through the vampire's mind as he toyed with it.
There followed a pause during which it was obvious the male was thinking, even if he refused to move, the silence awkward as the small reunion had been; he wasn't all that sure he licked the the idea of her whinincing and looking right about to crawl up a curtain in fear. Fear of what?
What was it she feared of him?
The question managed to force a brow to arch, the male's expresion chaging from amusement, to confussion before the though of just what might have bee scaring her dawned him, "I'm not going to hurt you," a pause, "Or touch you," he added as an after thought; the fact the last claim was said with a sigh softened the tone down a few notches, enough to filter the cold out of his voice, and the male looked away again. The other thought though left unsaid, hung clearly in the air, 'less you want me to' and his ears focused upon Violet even if his eyes were not, giving her some space by doing so, amusingly enough, almost conciderate, "Actualy, I pointed out you're small, not that I have grown; You're still quie lovely though," and even though he wasn't looking at her, he'd bowed his head slightly before raising it up, his body slowly standing again, "Anyhow..."
Padding over to the door, he stood at the frame before looking over his shoulder at her, one brow raised, "You were wrong though, even though you prided yourself in knowing evernthing, Vi," and here he'd paused, almost as if tasting her name on his tongue, "I still like you," another pause, a smirk offered to her over his shoulder, eyes narrowed dangerously, "You've not taken off those beads either; they look good," he sat down at the door then, giving her even more space, and having changed the theme of what he spoke about in a mere fla two seconds; it paid to not be quite perfectly sane, and the male chuckled, "Wonder how my hat would look on you," and again he turned to look away, this time down the hall, his ears focused back on her, further giving her space, for he was quite aware what he'd said.
He was no kit. Kisoni "That's it?" The words were out of her mouth before she knew what she meant by them. Really, she still didn't know but it sounded right, and she had her confidence back. Through his little 'speech' she'd remained silent, of word and thought. They'd come running back from their little affair, however, and she was rather affronted by the children they'd brought back with them.
These children found it rather amusing to point out that Diego was hot. Mentally she rolled her eyes at this and attempted to ignore it, no matter that she agreed. To tell the truth, he was, at least in body... and his mannerisms weren't bad, either. That didn't change the fact that he was still the annoying, ever-present, whiny little brat she'd raised. The only thing that kept her from saying as much was that he wasn't acting very bratty. Of course, this was the first time they'd seen one another in months, and it was liable to be an act of some sort. Or, she simply hadn't spent enough time with him lately to see where those bratty mannerisms had gone.
Still, she was suddenly faced with the fact that he was walking out on her again, and she'd needed to say something. Running with her statement, Violet stood up to stride her way over to the door and look up at him as if she were still the larger of the pair, "You come in here to watch me sleep then slink away into your darkness the moment I wake up? Rude, Diego, I'd like to think I taught you better than that. Besides, since when have you been afraid to lay down with me. Honestly, its almost as if you've been avoiding me these... past.. months..."
Violet stopped, blinking slightly up at him. Now that she'd said it, it made a sort of twisted sense. But WHY? She had the unnerving feeling that she was putting two and two together and getting three. Where was the missing number? Dark Fire Angel A pause then, "Yuuuuuup; that's it," a brow arched at her as he turned to smile at her over his should, then the mocking edge returned, grinning, "What? Did you expect something more? Because I could gladly comply~~ though I hardly think you'd aprecite it," amusingly enough, unmoved; perhaps it was the insanty, perhaps it was the fact he'd not been around her for so long, it was hard to discern, "And actualy, not rude, just..." and here he'd paused, his paw waving in the air, circling as he remain half turned to her, obviously searching for a word, something of a playful hint in his voice as he'd spoken, "Partialy incorrect, perhaps, however, in a way partialy the right thing to do to."
That much was clear in his mind; he saw that clearly he had to leave. What? Was she the insane one now? What the hell?
"Actually, you're right; I have been avoiding you," it wasn't said as an insult; in fact, it was said smoothly, matteroffactly, as if it'd been quite obvious. He turned to face her again, his head tilted to one side, the pose oddly childish as he kpt on ear raised, efficiently keeping his hat on his head, not letting it slip, "Let me ask you this, love; why do you think I've been very well avoiding you like the plague? If you can answer that one, you can probably understand why I'd rather slip away right about now," the bratty edge he'd had as a kit was long gone, and though prone to slipping into insanity, it manifested itself in other ways; he was still fun loving, oh yes. He loved a good joke, and he loved fire still, but he'd grown. And he had been well raised after all. Despite her claim, since the fact he was willing to walk slowly out was hint enough in his mind.
He'd not moved away from her, and let her look up at him, however, he'd also not whinced away, "Okay, look at it this way, since you're obviously confused about what I meant," the mocking tone was gone, and there was still no edge of insult in his voice, his tone still smooth as he looked down at her before he narrowed his eyes and pressed his nose to her, almost as if to get a point across, "If you were a moth and I were a fire, and you teased me too far, and that by the way, includes the laying down to sleep with you, you'd get burnt," a pause followed as he lowered his head further and sniffed the side of her jaw, giving the place a small, brief nuzzle as he lifted his head up again; it'd been warm, unlike his and the warmth had slipped into him. It was a nice feel, "Do you understand now? Or do I need to use slightly more vulgar terms that I'm not prone or used to?" a brow arched slightly at her, almost as if he were confused now, not her; he'd come to terms with this long ago after all. This was no news for him.
Laying down with her, oi. Sounded inviting. But not when she didn't understand. That, and he'd be damned.
...then again, he was already damned, he decided. Kisoni She'd long been used to Diego's odd form of conversation. With him, you couldn't exactly connect each sentance, each one had to be considered for itself and the next considered seperately until you found matching components. However, him speaking now and speaking as a kit were still different as night and day. NOW he had some air of intelligence to him--sort of like an idiot savant who sounded as if he spoke gibberish and yet spoke great volumes of intelligence. Actually, that was probably the most accurate way to describe Diego as an adult.
It still took Violet a little while to truly get it. Indeed, it wasn't until his oh-so-gentle touch to her maw that she'd truly faced what he was both trying to tell ehr and trying to keep her from realizing. Both Violet's eyebrows raised, one after the other in slow succession as the full impact of it slipped into her head. He had a crush on her! Well.. that was natural, wasn't it? A lot of males...
Violet crushed that egotistical little voice in her head. No male had ever been really interested in her save for saying that she was pretty. Then again, Diego likely wasn't really interested, either. It was quite common for children to develop crushes of a sort on a guardian, this had simply lasted a little longer was all.
Still, his comments from before now clicked and she gave a little shiver that wasn't disgust OR delight. Lay with her? She really hadn't any idea what she'd been inviting, had she? A bite likely would have been the least of her troubles. Violet almost started when it occurred to her that she'd actually been welcoming the thought of being bitten. There'd always been a sort of peace to it....
Despite all of these doubts it still annoyed her that he was purposly avoiding her. She snorted and leveled one of her better "no nonsense" looks up on him. "That's hardly for you to decide, you know." Not exactly what she'd meant to say, but it fit, "beyond that there is no need for vulgarity. I know full well what you mean, just as you know what I did. If you wish to leave then get the bloody well out, but don't just run off like a coward. If you've no intention of showing your face to me again--and that includes nightly visits!--then inform me of your decision rather than simply walking off." Dark Fire Angel He smiled again as her brows raised, the thoughts finaly dawning upon her features, the gesture still looking like a smirk, mostly due to his protuding teeth, "Finaly it dawns, you my dear?" a pause as he raised a paw, a finger wagging in the air in front of her, between them, "Indeed; exactly, since it's not for me to decide, I avoid you, because you already know what my thoughts on the subject are, and I know your thoughts on the subject too," a pause, as he raised the finger to his maw, a childishly innocent gesture for a moment as he tapped it, almost as if in thought before lowering it back down, "And rather, if I don't know, you've hinted the contrary, and rather than handle the negative, faced to my afirmation, I think I'll just stay away, love."
It was strange. The words made perfect sense in his mind, and never once did the smile drop off his features, for having asumed and come to terms with this fact as long ago as he had, it was easy for him to mention it. However, mayhaps the terms used did not exactly click in her mind, "Actualy, I was just pondering watching you when you weren't looking, and quite from afar; I can't really walk out," a pause as he lowered that one finger and placed it on her nose; still that playful edge to him, unmoved by the words, or the slight snap, "And I must correct you; I wasn't walking out, but rather ...." and here he paused, tapping her nose again before removing the finger, "Just temporarily removing myself from your presence, and do please take notice of the 'temporarily', if you may, which in case you don't know, merely means 'for a short span of time', hopefuly long enough for you to have fallen asleep again."
Shamless confession; however, that much was good about him. He'd never lied. Diego did not lie; he was bluntly honest, both with his actions and his thoughts, not to mention with others too. It was simply the way he was; perhaps it was his personality, or perhaps it was the insanity that crept into his mind at times forcing him to be so, however, whatever the cause, it was obvious he was far from ashamed at this claim.
"At any rate, no, you don't understand, Violet," and the mocking tone returned as he said that sole word, however, still not an insult, "You've never understood, and it's doubtful you will at this rate for you take things at face's value instead of pausing to look past that mirror you own; perhaps there's something beyond the mirror, ever heard of 'Through the looking glass', love? You'll just keep on missing it, because what I want from you is not that what you're obviously phantoming here," again he lowered his nose to hers, however, the playful edge suddenly vanished, as did his smile, his eyes narrowing befor ethey flashed, the darkness around them merely adding to the effect; something he'd not noticed he was doing.
His wings spread slightly then, arched as he loomed, "Now then, Vi, pause to think about it. Pause your steps, and your fast paced brain for just the hint of a second and take a look, do tell me what you see," he spread his wings even further before recoiling them back, almost as if to show his size, even if they'd already settled he was larger than her, "if I had wanted to hurt you, I would have. If I had very well damn wanted to take you, I would've," his eyes narrowed further, almost into slits, "If I had wanted to truly do anything, fueled by a physical need, I could have, and notice the change from would have, to could have..." his voice had lowered to a whisper at this point, he wasn't mad, or angered, however, the lack of humour in his voice was probably disturbing. He sounded quite serious in his claim, "Yet I haven't, and instead have been merely avoiding you; coward you call me? Rather the oposite my dear; it's taken quite of great deal of courage to stop and part your side. I'd have happily stayed there, I was quite warm where I was, I could've just stayed there; it's obvious by your previous invitation you'd have kept on looking at me like a ward, and I could've easily used that to my advantage, but instead I removed myself from your presence, hmmm?"
His eyes opened fully again, lossing some of the seriousness to them, instead merely confused for a second, as if trying to see into the future, discern something he couldn't quite phantom, "Now tell me; what exactly is the use in my staying if you can't see two inches from your nose and you group me under the category you group those whom whistle at you on the street? Or those that smirk and call you beautiful?" a pause again as he pulled back barely enoughb to lick his own nose, the warmth that had gathered there almost disturbing for a second, the gesture a means to rid of it, "First, discern what others feel before judging them as cowards; it is not my place to move you, and I will not come to you less you come to me first. I have missed you, you know; A nice 'hi Diego, sparring well? Good to see you' would've been better. I get enough of the 'scotting towards a wall, trembling in fear' reactions, and tell truth, they're getting quite bothersome and boring, specialy when I've not done anything to fuel them but be what I am and look like I do; I'm not going to change for anyone, for have you?"
The humour was suddenly back as he straightened up again, "I think I lied though; I've just touched you. Oh well. My bad." and there he sat, lookin childishly innocent, his ear flicking slightly as if ridding it of an invisible fly. Dark Fire Angel "Really now?" the voice practically dripped sarcasm as the male turned to glance to the side, looking partially amused by his own thoughts; whatever they might've been was yet to be seen, and probably taking the situation at hand, it was probably Violet wouldn't have wanted a peek into his mind. H let her finish her tirade, much like she had allowed him to finish his own before raising a single finger in the air "Actually, I never claimed to know your mind, love; I don't even know mine, thus it's hardly logical for me to know yours, and second off; I need not probe myself an adult," at this point, the amused look she was giving her dropped to a flat pointed look.
That single look spoke volumes of just what was going through his mind and just how he could probe himself an adult however, he swiftly pushed the thoughts away quite physically by waving his paw in front of himself, "At any rate, apologies accepted," another pause, eyes narrowing into a smirk, "Love, my mind's always thinking in the wrong direction, and if not always, mayhaps 90% of the time; don't tell me something I know. I was born with this. I cope. Do you?" a brow arched at this point as his expression returned to it's previous silliness; there was one thing Violet had got wrong for Diego was not emoing.
Far from it.
He seemed to tetter between amused and perhaps partially annoyed, with a hint of confused, however, emo was not amongst the features. Crudeness, yes, however, and he seemed to be doing nothing to hide it, shameless to that extent. Slowly, his expression melted into indifference as he perked an ear, no doubt listening down the hallway for noise he was half sure would indicate someone approaching, yet the vampire was surprised to hear nothing that would suggest anyone coming to the fair lady's rescue, "My, my, haven't things changed; I figured you'd have a chivalry by now, what with that scream; dunno if I should be amused, relieved or partially bothered," the words had no logic tied to the previous conversation but whenever did anything the vampire said tie in with what he'd said seconds before? He seemed to be talking to her yet not quite, almost as if voicing his thoughts; blinking out of whatever daze he'd drowned in, the vampire smirked down at her again, "However, I'm sure you're quite proud though; raised me well enough to avoid this house being bloody burned down, not to mention that godawful HQ; also raised me well enough that there's been no one dropping dead out of lackague of blood; now isn't that nice?" as if to signal this was true, his stomach chose that moment to mention something akin to 'and you've not yet fed me today mate' in quite a rumbling sound.
Frowning down at his stomach, almost as if it were capable of acknowledging the glare, Diego snorted, "Bother," looking off, he seemed to forget all about the female in front of him for a moment as he counted on his fingers; what were the chances of Daffu being awake, not getting mad and heating up some blood she'd stored up for him? ... calculating by the fact she was probably asleep by now, null to... zero chances. He'd have had more luck in getting kicked out of the room, "Why does everyone sleep at night anyhow? Bloody best time in the whole 24 hours; no sun," he shoot Violet a glance, almost questioning, as if hoping she'd explain this for a moment, but then rolled his eyes, "Anyhow, if the princess would like to keep on getting her beauty sleep, I shall retire; tell truth I hadn't even planned on coming in to bother you in the first place; but I'm not sorry!" and this he accentuated with a smile, and the words ended with a chirp, however, he moved not from his spot.
For some odd reason, probably beyond him too, he seemed to be waiting, his wings having come down to a relaxed pose against his back. Kisoni Violet sat there, giving him time to share his bit. Her tails twitched behind her in turn, pondering what he said as he did. And somehow the thought where he was getting blood bothered her. A lot. In fact, she could feel her fur puffing up a little in alarm at his stomach's grumbling. If he wasn't killing others, and she knew he hated rats, and he wasn't drinking from HER... then where?
Suddenly, the thought of another female came to mind. Could there be someone else that he'd drink from? He came in his implying, though never saying, that he was in love with her, then continued to insult her and.... She could never understand him.
"I am proud, thank you very much... and perhaps that's for the best. I'm sure the rats are quite uncertain as to why you're not terrorizing them..." It was really more of a question, but she tried not to phrase it that way.
