I saw that show on TV the other night. Basically, a 4-part documentary all about metal, its origins, and where it is today. Has anybody else seen it?

it was ******** bullshit. Slipknot & nu metal crap labelled and 'new wave of american metal'. Hardcore labelled as a type of metal. Overal trendy crap. The guy who did the documentry is a CoB fan for ******** sakes, he can't get any more mallrat than that. Seriously ******** that. Things like this give metal its bad image.
The Gaahl & Mayhem interviews were fun though.

For me it helped me understand the sub genres of Metal a little more. Although I still have some confusion here and there.

I love that documentary. The only thing I hated was that older chick he was interviewing who was overly stereotypical about metal and metal heads.
"Black is very important. Leather is very important."
Its not like we need ******** uniforms! I just hated her...
And if anyone wants a good laugh, check out my video in my profile. That was the best part of the movie. XDD

it's not "bullshit" it was just another person's perspective
despite being a documental, you can't expect it to be objective; Sam Dunn made quite a great job in his film, despite some of us can disagree in which bands go in which genres (I also said to myself "this is ******** up" with some bands in certain genres... like Manowar in Power Metal), but still, consider it to be a guy's opinion on the matter, not the new Metalhead's bible.
So yeah, it was pretty cool, I wish he tooked some time on Power Metal too though, which he ignored completely

A whole section on power metal wouldve been interesting.
