"I take it your work is...rather stressful?" the King asked curiously. Perhaps this was the reason she was unhappy. It was as good a reason as any, he knew that all too well. The old wish granting system had been a pain in the backside, with so many people taking back their wishes and getting horrible mutilated in the Labyrinth. He shuddered to think of all the paperwork he used to deal with.

She nodded.
"Stressful to the point I've lost sleep just trying to catch up. Then it's lonely, even in the crowded rooms..."
Alex murmured softly and snuggled into her hand. The feeling of eyes looked up to Jareth as the orb watched.

She chuckled some at her own words. "Though it must not be easy to be a king with so many wishing on him and having to deal with goblins."
