This thread is amazing and inspirational. And all that nice positive good s**t.
Thing is. I hate the guild. I mean. It's good for off topic. Bad for gameplay. It just doesn't work. If there isn't a thread discussing anything close to what you want to talk about and you don't want to bring it away from that, and what you want to talk about is just little tidbits, that really aren't that important, but game related nonetheless, and REALLY all you want to do is discuss this and that without having to monitor different threads and their topics and posts, with just a BIG discussion..... Guild sucks. I personally think that because we have a designated forum for us now, we should use it. We can use the guild for off topic, and GM stuff and really important decisions, but we should have a main thread in GCP for game play.
Just my opinion.

We do have a thread in the GCP (somewhere), but it kinda died. Staying in the guild and playing the game in the GCP both have their pros and cons. The Guild Quote: The pros: - information is easy to find - if you want something to be noticed, you just make a topic - you don't have to backread as much to find useful information - GMs can easily be given power to sticky topics for story updates, and that power can be easily revoked once the game is over. The cons: - most people just hang out in the Sniped D instead of playing the game - most topics only last a couple of pages before they become obsolete - everyone knows who everyone else is voting for, so sheepvoting becomes easy - since Zae has been absent and we have no VC's, we're stuck with having to police ourselves A GCP thread Quote: Pros: - sheepvoting is harder to do since votes are scattered throughout the thread. Most people wouldn't see them unless they backread - you can talk about the game seriously or casually without having to make a thread - post-stalking people for clues is easy since everything shows up in your post history Cons: - it's easier for potentially important information to get lost - people are likely to be noticed less in a thread - off-topic chatter will have to be monitored heavily - unless a new thread is made with a 'sniper game mule', new GMs can't change the front page unless Zae comes back - if you're not a dedicated player, you could easily forget about the game since it's in the GCP - most GCP threads move very slowly and usually go longs periods of time between posts Feel free to add to both lists. 3nodding

Quote: ~Spamming a little less in the Sniped D, and making more topics that have points. (I don't have anything against the pointless topics, but the newcomers might. <3) If they don't like it, then they aren't the type we want.

Important notifications could go in guild topics Discussion could be in the GCP. And I was thinking a new thread per game, but a mule for GMs seems like an excellent idea. And it's just as easy to forget about a guild as it is to forget about a thread. Easier for a guild, I think, from experience.

Used to be this game was. . . well. . . a game.
Now it seems to have become like one of those choose your adventure books. One person says, "Hey lets go into the room on the right and flip to page 57."
Back then it was more like, "Books? I have to time for flippin books I gotta figure out whos killing everybody." I really miss those days. . . stupid mods with their thread locking *mumble mumble*

So, we've said ideas here, but we're running into the same problem as before. We're not doing anything. We need to agree on some plans and get into action so we can start the next game on the anniversery. (Sorry I'm not on as much, I got grounded. ^^; )
