"Maybe." Eeenie hadn't actully thought of that. And if her wings were bigger, she might even get more light out of them! She had to try and convince them to grow later.
Later, after they got out.
She poked at the wall as she went, and even stopped at one point to press her ear against the wall to listen.

The girl's chatter pleased Jenivive. She liked the noise of others talking, the ebb and flow of conversation reminded her of an ocean wave, pulling back and forth in it's own set rhythm. Indeed, she attempted to add to it, in her own unintelligible way, though her baby-talk held no points of import.
The talk of light made her a little uneasy, for she was still no closer to finding where it had been hidden. They were no closer, it seemed, and the realisation she was afraid of the dark was beginning to dawn.

The noise from the walls is no more than the buzz of electricity, and the occasional thump of plumbing. But, before the girls is a split in the tunnel, again no light emanating from left or right. Choose your path wisely, Legends!

Another path? Paestri eyed both passages, wondering which one they should go through. She looked to Jenivive and smiled, "You wanna pick which one we go into?" she offered, gesturing to both tunnels. After all, Eeenie had chosen, she had chosen, it was only logical that Jen would have a turn.

Aquene didn't mind the idea of the baby deciding- she was probably a lucky baby. She'd pick the lucky path! "Yes, you can pick. I bet you are good at picking."

Choose their next move? This was, perhaps, a risky thing to ask of one not yet in control enough of her facilities to master her tongue, or the art of walking. Nonetheless, Jenivive flung out her right arm.
She then observed said arm, and stopped to raise it to her mouth and gnaw on the fingertips. An unusual manner of choosing, perhaps, but it seemed a choice, nonetheless.

Paestri didn't seem bothered by the notion of letting Jenevive choose, after all she had suggested it. At the young Legend's action, the pink-haired girl cocked her head before she glanced up at Aquene, "Well, she used her right hand, so we'll go through the right path." she declared, it was one way of interpretting Jenevive's choice. Unless the baby proved otherwise, they were heading down the right path.

In the darkness, the footsteps have an ominous echo, and each step reverberates until the next replaces it. The girls may not feel the stranger's hands, but they feel the needle. The next thing they feel is their own bedsheets. They're awake, and back in their own bed, with only a pin-p***k to tell the tale.
