I would go to Hawaii but i cant yet... im in the reserves. I have to pick a college at the same state where i enlisted, and a given, same country that i enlisted to xd I'll just get my education and hopefully i dont get called up and ruin my college, but my MOS should get me from being called out. Then again, my friend did Networking, and he still got called out. So, it might be a matter of time. sweatdrop

Haha...That is freakin awesome.:

"A former NFL player deployed with 300 Kaneohe-based Marines to Iraq on Tuesday night."
Lance Cpl. Jeremy Staat tried to enlist right after 9/11, but Tillman told him to stay in the NFL. When Tillman was killed, it gave him even more motivation to join the Marines. Staat was an 11-game starter for the Pittsburgh Steelers and St. Louis Rams in 1999.
Tillman made Staat promise he would play long enough to get his NFL retirement.
"Once I had fulfilled my promise to him, he was killed. I figured I'd finish what I'd started," Staat said. "(His death) affected me because with him, Pat was always a guy you knew would come out on top. You knew in games you couldn't believe he made that block or that tackle. I expected him to come home."
Staat gave a comparison between starting in his first NFL game and deploying to Iraq.
"The first NFL game would be over in about four hours. I mean this game is going to take about seven months. The plays here are for real life or death. You make a mistake here you can't go back and play next week. So, the strain mentally is immense," Staat said.
He said he is not concerned about the lack of support for the war.
"I can't worry about the political things that are going on here, what's going on in Congress, and who's in the White House -- things like that. I've got to take care of the Marines on the left and right of me because we're going by ourselves and we have to go and protect and take care of each other," Staat said.
Staat said he had to lose 80 more pounds and get in shape to become a Marine after leaving the NFL.

Sweet Hawaiian girl

TO correct your siggie
The Soldier and the Marine
The Soldier

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.

It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the soldier, who salutes the flag, who serves under the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag.

By Charles M. Province

The Marine
It is the Marine, not the soldier who gets all the press.

It is the Marine, not the soldier who is the subject of laudatory speeches.

It is the Marine, not the soldier who gets all the chicks on campus.

It is the Marine, not the soldier who settles disputes without concern for lawyers or fair trial.

It is the Marine, who raises the flag in victory, whom everyone thinks of when they salute the flag, who carries the soldier's coffin, draped by the flag, and who kicks the protesters' asses when they try to burn the flag.

The marines don't like to walk around in their cammies, because it's regulation not to do so.

Also, they try to wear hats to hide their high-and-tights, because the samoans tend to dislike them, and beat the living piss out of them.

I've seen a marine come back from Wikiki having been curbstomped.
