The sunlight was amazing this day. Even if it was cold and it was reflecting off of the snow rather brightly, Inapo was still able to find warmth in it, and bounced about in the winter landscape with a delighted expression on his face.
It wasn't often that he went out during this time of the year, but the idea was appealing right now - he had been building up energy for who knew how long and it had finally gotten bothersome, keeping his legs almost itchy and his ears and tails twitching all the time. But now he was running that energy off, yips and yelps of happiness coming from him at random.

Of course, chasing after Inapo cheerfully was Pelado, a bright yellow, blue and black marked kitsu, giggling as she did so, her own single, short tail wiggling behind her as she bounced along.
"I'm going to catch you Inapo!" She laughed, trying her hardest to make her short legs move as fast as his. To Pelado, the snow was of no bother either, and the sun really was warm indeed. "Just you wait and see!" She added, giggling again and then leaping onto a huge rock to the side of where they were running, lauching herself off of it, and then finding herself running at his side after a small stumble.
"See, I told you I'd catch up!" The pretty little bobtail laughed again, jumping on her friend and then rolling through the snow with him, laughing the whole time.

Inapo grinned and tried to move faster, bounding on forward through the snow. When she caught up with him, loud laughter boomed from his chest.
Tumbling onto the snow with his dear, little friend, the beachy kitsu nuzzled her and laughed breathlessly. "You certainly are quick," he said merrily, stretching out in the snow to catch his breath, grinning the entire time. "Or, just lucky that that rock was there." He was teasing her now, but was all in jest, never wanting to be mean.

Pelado grinned wider at him, then rested her head on his heaving chest as they both caught their breath. "Heh, I think it's more lucky the rock was there, if I may say so myself." She giggled, deciding to go along with his joking instead of anything else.
"You're much faster than I'll ever be." The smaller kitsu laughed, wiggling her two front paws, as if to remind him ther her own legs were shorter for sure. "But I bet I could catch you if I really wanted to." She added, smiling again and then batting her eyelashes for a moment, flicking her ears a little and then rolling away from him, wiggling about in the snow.

Inapo smiled broadly and nuzzled at her again, nodding once. "I'm very sure you could catch me if you so pleased," he said simply, before finding his eyes widening and a faint blush appearing on his cheeks as she batted her eyelashes at him.
Then he rolled onto his side as he watched her play in the snow, a warm smile on his face. "I'm sure you can faster, once you get more settled into your legs. Don't worry. You'll be able to catch me all you want."

The smaller kitsu then rolled onto her stomach and grinned at Inapo. "We could always test that theory..." She trailed off, winking at him, then wiggling her short tail again, "But maybe some other time...I'm tired now." She sighed cheerily, standing and then shaking the snow off her fur, purposely making sure that some landed on him, then giggling and reclining to her haunches.
"They're alright...it's still kinda weird, but I'm almost used to it by now." She grinned, flicking her large ears and then wiggling her nose for a moment, brow furled a little before she sneezed. It was a tiny little sneeze, and she sat looking dazed for a moment after, then giggled again, "Excuse me." The kitsu added politely, blushing a little.

"I'm rather tired myself," Inapo managed, before snow landed on him, bringing laughter from him once more. He peered at Pelado with a warm smile on his lips still, flicking his ears and tail lazily, stretched out contently in the coolness of the snow.
Then he peered at her, blinking a few times, before nuzzling her gently once more, unable to resist. "You are too cute," he blurted, before blushing brightly.

"Mmmmm." She murred in agreement to his tired comment. "All that running..." She trailed off, unable to help giggling as he laughed.
"Cute, me?" She blushed herself, wiggling her tail again, "Really?" She giggled, beaming down at him, then flicking her ears again. Pelado ruffled the soft fur on her chest, and then layed back down, next to Inapo, nuzzling his cheek softly with her petite muzzle.
"You're cute too." She grinned, licking the same spot she'd nuzzled.

Inapo smiled shyly and closed his eye on the side that Pelado looked, before smiling at her again, blushing brightly still as she licked his cheek. "Thank you," he said shyly, putting his head down on his paws as he continued to relax, purring lazily the entire time.
"I love running around... it's been so long since I've moved about. I was wary of the snow, you see," murmured the sandy kitsu, smiling broadly.

"Of course." She laughed, wiggling a little and then snuggling up next to him.
"Wary of the snow...? Why so?" Pelado inquired, laying her ears back as she lay her cheek against his shoulder, sighing lightly and then wagging her short little tail.

"I'm a beach!" Inapo said happily, curling around his little friend and purring to her soothingly. "I thought it would be too cold, or something like that... it was very silly of me." He curled his tails up and around, covering her gently with one of them.

"A beach...makes sense, of course. Inapo, you're not silly." She said, serious for the first time since they'd stopped running.
Pelado snuggled against Inapo's side as he covered her with his tail. How nice of him to keep her warm. She smiled kindly and tried to snuggle him more than she already was. "Thank you for keeping me warm!" She churred happily, nuzzling his shoulder gently and closing her eyes.
"Maybe a quick nap...?" She trailed off, perking her ears curiously and tilting her head, ever so slightly.

"A nap wouldn't be too bad," murmured Inapo, smiling softly and closing his eyes partway, purring lazily as he relaxed in the snow, content with Pelado with him. Still he purred, curling his tails around her to ensure she would be warm.

"Yeah," Pelado yawned, "you're so sweet..." She smiled, then murred again happily, snuggling into him one last time, to make sure she was completely comfortable.
"Thank you Inapo." She said, laughing quietly and then closing her eyes again, drifting off to sleep within moments, content and warm, snuggled next to him, and wrapped in his tails.

Several hours later, Inapo found himself waking up, and looked surprised as he lifted his head, staring at the sun for a moment as he wondered how he had managed to sleep for so long. "Goodness..." he breathed, fluffing himself up lightly and finding himself lightly dusted in snow.
