My only regrets are with the storyline... it seemed like it ended.... prematurely to me... they could've gone on for a while before they threw the end of the game in. I don't know... I just feel like an airship as big as the bahamut... should've been more than 4 rooms.... where's my final dungeon..... 6 had kefka's tower, 7 had the north cave, 8 had ultimecia's castle, 9 had memoria, 10 had the inside of sin (though it was short the rooms were very large.) but XII..... had two rooms of normal enemies and then 4 bosses... where did my final climactic challenge of a dungeon go? ... how sad.

it seems like 2nd to last levels are always the best. pharos was awesome

Just a random question people...
About what level are you when you beat the game? Did you finish the license grid? I'm at The Phon Coast, where Vultures or lunging Penelo (WHY DO THEY TARGET PENELO?! IS IT BECAUSE I MADE HER GAMBIT FOE: FLYING - BLIZZARA? AND THEY'RE WEAK TO BLIZZARA?)
I'm definitely underlevel, I just feel it. My highest leveled person, Vaan (who I never take off my party smile ) is level 30.

Yeah, that is pretty low for there... I haven't actually beat it yet, but I'm about 60, I think, and I'm nearing the end.
(Also, I hate those flying things.)

That would probably be why they attack her... she pulls the hate (to use an FFXI term)... so they attack her.

I beat it at lv 84 and maxxed the liscence grid for everybody..... I destroyed everything I encountered, except some of the more difficult marks, but even the last boss was easy for me. I'd say you should be at least lv 60 when you beat the game. The second time through I'm trying to challenge myself by staying as low level as possible, and I'm lv 22 and I'm just entering Achades.... so far... it's pretty damn hard.

I was moderately excited for this game when I got it as a christmas present.

When I started it, I didn't like it too much. In order to keep on top of everything, you need to constantly be levelling and upgrading equipment. It just seemed like endless grinding to me, at first.

Then, once the story cranked up, every bit of it is a good time. I do miss the romantic aspect of it, but I suppose its better to just let the mind wander...

Although I miss my summons...the game as a whole is awesome. I like the new combat system, and its nice being able to know which monsters you are facing before you fight,(no random battles).

They replaced the clamatic final dungeon with the hunts and optional bosses...

It kinds tips you off when the final boss is only lvl 55 and the last hunt is lvl 70 with 50,112,254 HP

Plus there's figuring out the maze of the Crystal and Pharos

Your not leveling up for the final boss, you level up for the hunts and espers...

this way you can chooes how easy or hard you want the game to be...

if you want an easy game you can just blow thur the story and not to do the hunts...and if you want a challenge you can go after all the hunts and take out the optional bosses...

they made the game pretty much completely customizable so you do what ever you want with it...

I think it was pretty ingenious of Squenix to make the game that way 3nodding

and as for how abrutly it ended, there is a sequel... which I'm gonna by in a few weeks ^^ loves being in Japan blaugh

I loved the game and playing it over.
It had good characters and a decent story and the graphics were great
and the battle system is great once you get use to it.

The only thing that anoyied me was how the special attacks take up your MP instead of having a sepreat gauge like the other FF games have always done...

I actually enjoyed the graphics more than the game itself. I fell in love with the cg's and the overall smoothness of the game. Storyline was mediocre after stuff like FF X's storyline. Battle system was interesting. nice to be different, but I prefer turn based just cause I don't feel rushed in the battles.

.... did you somehow miss the 100 floor dugneon BEFORE the Bahamut... with enough boss battles to own your party easy... that seemed pretty epic to me but I'm just saying.

Love the battle system, hate the storyline, it's too shallow.

Graphic-wise it is a nice game however this Final Fantasy really isn't my favorite.

For one thing the storyline, and the character stories are a little shallow. With a few expections of corse. Story isn't terrible but it just seams to be about only one thing which it them stopping this one place to stop whatever they are going which isn't bad. But thats the only thing it seams to be about. No love interst at all.

Aside from wonderful graphics the music also is great.

As for the battle system... its boring. Even though its a nice change in pase. If you have the gambits just right then you really don't need to pay any attetion to the battles at all. So after a while it might get a little boring. I actually do like the turn bace, and what ever they had in Kingdom Hearts.

First I'd just like to say I'm really surprised, and glad, to have gotten the amount of responses to my comment.

I agree, but they still never took away from the final dungeons....

...FF7 had Midgar, FF8 had the Lunatic Pandora, FF6 had a few things depending on what you did; all of them with a large amount of bosses inside. But still they all had lengthy final dungoens. Which is why I was somewhat disappointed. After the extensive, nearly epic, length of the pharos I was expecting a lot but didn't get much of anything.

I'll agree with you there. I'm on my second time through and I'm level 78 with all the espers save famfrit and hashmalum, only because I just finished giruvegan. I like the amount of side quests and how nearly all the ultimate weapons in the game you must farm enemies for or camp rare monsters to get the materials to obtain. As for the sequal, I don't think I'm gonna buy it. After what they did with their last sequel game... *shudders* x-2 *shudders* I'd hate to see such a great cast be destroyed in the same way, so I'm not gonna buy it.

As for the quickenings taking up your mp... I think it was necessary to limit your power as such. If you decide to use your quickenings or espers you'd better be prepared for the consequence of not being able to cast magic for a little while afterwards. if there was a seperate guage it would take away from the customizabilty of your game play. Some people fire off quickenings all the time while other players are like me and horde their mist charges while they use a ton of magic.
